-5:30pm-7pm complimentary DRINKS! up to 6 per person!! They also have popcorn and a pretzel mix. Try a "dirty shirley" :)
-complimentary BREAKFAST! They'll make an omelette for you with everything in it. Sausage, jalapenos, cheese, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, bacon, etc. They have all the typical breakfast items including pancakes, bagels, yogurt, cereal, and an assortment of juices.
I stayed here 2 nights, 3 days, for a conference. Good place to host an event.

Charging for internet access is a good way to drive off any potential customers. Schmuck
I try to go to the LA Basin as little as possible. In fact, if they cut off California at Santa Barbara and picked it up again in San Diego, there isn't much that I would miss in between. I think it was Woody Allen in Annie Hall that said he couldn't live in a place where the only cultural advantage was being able to make a right turn on red. And why do they put the word THE in front of every freeway number?
But, my employer has a facility in nearby Azusa, so occasionally I fly into LAX and make the - long - drive over on THE 105 to THE 605 and then into Arcadia on THE 205. It's actually a worse drive on the way back to the airport, or as James Taylor once sang:
Well I left my job about 5 o'clock
It took fifteen minutes go three blocks
Just in time to stand in line
With a freeway looking like a parking lot
Damn this traffic jam
How I hate to be late
It hurts my motor to go so slow...
But I digress - The Embassy Suites - Arcadia
The hotel is comfortable and with all the amenities that you expect here and pretty well executed. And there are lots of decent places to eat nearby and within walking distance. I do agree with Clint U. that this particular hotel shows its age a bit and the elevator is clunky and slow.

This Embassy Suites isn't bad. It isn't one of their oldest, more on the new side, grouped in a cluster of hotels off Huntington Drive, with Springfield Suites and Hilton Garden inn.
I have stayed at the Hitlon Garden Inn, and although it is a sister chain to the Embassy Suites, I prefer the Embassy Suites over the HGI both as a chain and in this Arcadia location.
It isn't far from downtown Arcadia, where there are some choices of restaurants and shops, and it is close to Santa Anita if you like the ponies. It is a good choice in this part of the SGV. There is a brand new 24 Hour Fitness nearby and a not so bad KBBQ I reviewed down the block.
The hotel itself is typical Embassy Suites, with the suite room, large atrium with greenery, free happy hour and free hot breakfast.
My rate in May was $159. They didn't charge extra for 3 adults. And no, it wasn't a menage a trois!

I've stayed at other better or rather upgraded embassy suites. The logistics are the same and a plus - happy hour, and comp. cooked to order breakfast.
We got a great deal for our out of town guests but the down side is the A/C in my suite or lack thereof which seemed more like a swamp cooler. Very humid. Not only my rooms, but in my guests'.
Not the best ES experience but will likely stay at others elsewhere.

Best place for anyone planning a trip to the SGV of LA.
First check out the website for pictures and rates. All the rooms are suites so you are looking at $170 a night. IMHO, it is worth every penny.
Cool features that differ from other hotels of the same budget.
1. Suites are positioned on the perimeter of the building so each has a "view" outside the window and inside the hotel.
2. The core of the Hotel is empty so you can step outside your room and look down at the bottom floor.
3. Indoor community swimming pool and jet spa to swim in ANY season.
4. Suites are a two room, office/living room and a bedroom, instead of a studio that you normally see.
Also included in the deal is complementary wifi, breakfast, and drinks in the evening.
Now for the location
1. Shopping mall is like 5 minutes away
2. Santa Anita race track is like 5 minutes away
3. Hungry and don't want to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. Well do not worry, you are on Huntington Dr., that means all you see on this approx. 1.5 mile stretch are restaurants. It is almost unbelievable to see restaurants after restaurants.
4. Of course, later on in the evening while back in your room, you can log onto http://yelp.com and start writing reviews. I swear this street is a FTR Goldmine. There is no way one person can cover all the restaurants.
If your vacation allows you to stay longer, by all means explore the rest of the wonderful San Gabriel Valley.

I wanted to book a block of rooms for my October wedding. The wedding coordinator at this hotel was SO rude and condescending. She treated me like I couldn't possibly afford their crappy rooms and refused to hold as many as I needed. She was so rude that I left and went to the Marriot down the street, a BRAND NEW HOTEL! They were so nice! They gave me a great price ($100 less per night than Embassy Suites) and a free room for the bride as well as a gift of 2 nights stay to come back on my anniversary. They even threw a congratulations breakfast for us and 25 family members the next morning for FREE!!! BEWARE, the Embassy is snooty, over priced and smells odd!!!!
I guess I am spoiled. I have stayed at a lot of Embassy Suites and I know how good or bad they can be. This Embassy Suites doesn't meausre up.
1. This hotel is in need of a major rennovation in the near future. Nearly everything shows sign of age and wear...from the elevators (a balky elevator doesnt help either) to the rooms. The plastic faucets look like they got them at a Home Depot clearance sale. Parts of the faucet knob kept coming off and it was obvious that the cap was removed several times to fix the washers.
2. Fortunately the beds were decent and confortable. They are not up to Marriott standards, but still ok.
3. Air Conditioning 0 stars. I am all for energy conservation, however, I do want air conditioning at night in a hotel. There is a sign on the wall that states that conserve energy, the central air conditioning will be turned off when the outside temperature goes below 70F and the heat will be turned off if the temperature rises above 56 F. DID ANYONE TELL THEM THAT ARCADIA IS IN THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY WHICH USED TO BE A DESERT WHEN THE YANG NA INDIANS WERE HERE? So being a desert, that day the highs were in the 90's and dropped to the 60's at night. But the accountants probably didnt take physics and learn about residual heat. So when the sun and temperature drops the building is still warm from the 90 plus weather of the day. DUHHHH. And of course, the windows do not open. So my room was warm and MUGGY. In addition the digital thermostat was over 10 degrees off calibration. It was showing a room temp of 64 F when it was really closer to 77 F
OVERALL: For $160 a night, you can do better in the area. Pass on this hotel until after they rennovate and change their air conditioning policy.

This hotel looked nice on the outside, and it offers a full complimentary breakfast and "happy hour" (or two free drinks with nachos and chips & dip... at least that's what they had when I was there). Breakfast was not bad, and it had a good variety.
Room was OK. Bed was OK. Lets just stay with that...

Worst hotel experience of my life! Woke up in the middle of the night to discover that I was sleeping with someone else's dirty sweat soc ks at the bottom of the bed. Yuck! I called the manager, whom I insisted come to see the socks - he tried to tell me the sheets were clean and the socks just "stuck" in the bed. Yeah, right. A PAIR of dirty socks just "stuck" in the bed. The manager did not apologize, so I wrote to corporate - they sent me an email thanking me for my feedback. Did anyone read it?? Again, no apology. Will never stay there again. And, by the way, the bathroom was filthy.

A really nice hotel with a very pleasant lobby with lots of green and running water and fish. This is where the very good Capistrano's restaurant is situated. And just off the lobby are where many local luncheon and conference activities take place.

What can I say...I know its not Bellagio or anything but I really expected a lot more from an Embassy Suite hotel. I have stayed at the one in Anaheim before and it was pretty nice. This hotel was rated 4 stars but it was anything but. The 2 room suite was not what I expected. I stayed at a Motel 8 and the bathroom was way nicer. The bed was not bad but my goodness it was a double....at least have some queen size beds in that place. It was a plus that breakfast was included in the hotel stay and they served real food....cooked to order eggs...pancakes and french toast. Also it was close to Din Tai Fung and Phoenix. I highly doubt I will stay here again.
This is a total find. We've been coming here for years. My family is in Arcadia and when we came in from the desert, we would stay here. It's a clean, comfortable suite, immaculately decorated. And what's the best part! The complimentary Happy Hour while you can quietly catch a buzz before you go out. Although the in house bar/restaurant is wonderful(used to be Capistranos when we went there), there is a HUGE selection of bars, restaurants, and retail right on Huntington drive right down from the Santa Anita Race Track. We've never had any problems, in fact we've had more than one family luncheon here as well as Christmas dinner. Used to have ducks on the fish pound as you walk into the Reception area. It's been a few years since we now just live in Norco, ony 45 minutes away.
