4 reviews for Embassy Hotel
I was in Huntsville for a very large regional conference. I stayed at the Embassy Suites for one night until my roommates showed up and I went to another hotel. I wish I had remained here for convenience sake. The staff was ok. Nothing really spectacular about their performance. The lay out of the room is spacious enough for 5 or 6 people if you had to squeeze them in. The room was clean and it looks like the hotel has gone through renovations or is pretty new. The breakfast was ok but my complaint about hotel breakfast is the same for all hotels: only pork or beef meat options in the morning.
If you're going to be spending lots of time at the Von Braun Center, this is your best choice in location as there is an indoor walk way to the VBC from the hotel. No need to go outside at all. The parking wasn't shabby. I'd suggest parking in the garage under the hotel instead of outside but you will need a roomkey to open the garage gate since you have to pay for parking anyway.
The only con about this hotel is that it's not close to any dining options except Ruth Chris' steakhouse. Within walking distance there are office buildings and what looks like boarded up public housing. But if you're at VBC all day there's nothing within walking distance to get a quick bite to eat from what I saw.
It should be noted this is the Embassy Suites hotel.
This is by far the nicest ES I have stayed in! Lemme point out the good stuff.
1. Parking is 5.00. Seriously. 5.00 a day. Wow.
2. There is a Ruths Chris at the hotel. Wha? I've not seen this before, but, um, ok.
3. Easy to get to from the highway, the exit is Jefferson.
4. Great choices from the breakfast served in the morning. I know they do hot foods, but I only grabbed lite fare. I usually get egg white omelets with some potatoes.
5. Rooms were comfortable and clean. My bed was great and no complaints about my room at all. Nice, big tvs.
6. Very friendly staff.
7. The gym has treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes and free weights.
The bad: if you don't have a car, you're SOL. There is NOTHING that I saw within walking distance.
All in all, I would totally stay at this hotel again!

the first time i ever stayed at an embassy suites hotel, it was here.
an incredibly random/unbelievable turn of events led me to stay here. i live in nashville, i spent the weekend in atlanta, but the couple we were with had to tend to a family emergency in huntsville, so off to the rocket city. so here the two of us are, in hunstville, a place i used to live in but absolutely LOATHE now. this was pretty much the only new thing in huntsville since i moved away in 2001. i had never been in one of these hotels before, so i was well surprised when i ambled in to get a room. a nice atrium greeted me and instantly my spirits were better, even though i was in a town i swore i would never step foot in again... after paying less than i thought i would for the room, the lady gives me two tickets for complimentary drinks in the lobby(!!!) and two tickets for breakfast(!!!). by this point, i was a happy camper. my guest and i went and had a few drinks in the lobby, which got me well tipsy (i'm not much of a drinker). that, in turn, made the dinner at ruth's chris more enjoyable. i was shocked at how well the evening turned out.
this is easily the nicest hotel in huntsville, there really is no other choice if you want a good room.

I booked a room at this hotel for my husband and I during his Midtour which fell on our anniversary. I asked for a specific package. When some of our other daily plans fell through we asked if we could move back our reservation they said no. We checked in several hours before our room was ready. We went to eat dinner had happy hour. Went to our room. I didn't get what I paid for at all. What's worse! Tornado Warnings! All guests had to evacuate!
