I love coming to see "Tita" Ely. She's one of the great people who keep this place up. My mum and her have know each other for years and have brought me here many times to get both our hair done. Even my little brother!
Though now I'm going 'round to other places because I need to keep my options open just in case for transferring in college and if Tita's unavailable.
I highly recommend! Clean, doesn't smell like a chemical lab, friendly people and next to Goldilocks! Everyone's so sweet and will do their best and exceed your expectations.
My mom has been coming here since 1984, and I used to always get my haircut here up until I graduated from college. The whole gang has known me since I was 4 years old (that's about 24 years now). I still come here if I need a quick emergency trim or blow-dry, even though I have since upgraded to my own salon of choice (one my mom does not go to...sorry, I need to stay hip).
I do love coming back here if I haven't been in a while...sometimes I pop in for a visit when my mom is in town and needs to get her hair done. We are always greeted with a smile, and a "How's your mom/dad/brothers/sisters?" Ely Lyn is like family. I must admit that we're like VIP there. Ely, Lynda, Em, and Bert are great, but my personal favorite (and my family's favorite as well) is Remy. She can do anything - cut, color, style - and she's really sweet too...and is always able to squeeze me in for a trim or blow-dry at the last minute (I told you I was VIP). ;-)
I was a fan of Supercuts for years. My wife, kids, sister-in-law and her family, etc. have been going to see Bert for years. I finally caved and went last November. Have been going here ever since. Love my haircuts and Bert's recent one was the best so far. Even my brother-in-law D made a comment that it was a cleaner cut than usual. Thanks Bert for taking care of all of us! Stop denying the tips by the way. You deserve them.
