Visiting friends in New York we wanted to take a trip to Astoria to check out the Greek scene. We stumbled upon this open market and small food shop. We felt like we were back in Greece here! The open market had a great selection of fresh produce. Then in the back there was a wide variety of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. In the small food shop they had an amazing cheese, olive oil, and fresh olive selection. I bought real Greek honey which we have been missing since coming back from our trip. Making it an even more authentic experience our friend had a conversation with an employee in Greek. Opa!
