This place is a huge bowling alley , massive. I guess I'm used to the low end places in the city where space is at a premium , this is a big place. They had balls , pins , and that's pretty much all I was going for. There were a few video games ... nothing fancy. I will say a selling point for me to return is that it shares it's parking lot with a decent pizza joint and Tensuke Market for all my sushi wants.
There is a soft place in my heart for this place. I love it. It's the Village, you can't go wrong.
The inside must have been remodeled in recent years. This place is quite large, they have automatic(computerized scoring); very cool! I have wondered if my friends , family (or even myself) were actually keeping an accurate score by hand in the past, that's why I now love bowling alleys that have this kind of scoreboard. I need to go bowling more often to keep my game up to speed, I'm sure most yelpers can relate.
To bowl costs $2.50 a game per person and shoe rental is $3.00
They have pool tables for $12 hr(a bit steep) and a few video games, and a pub/grill inside as well.
The staff seemed friendly enough , the place is very clean and they have deals on bowling a couple of nights a week. I hope to be back.

I have attended many b-day parties and club events here and the people are always nice, the service good, and the food/beer is reasonable.

I've shot pool there a few times, an expensive affair at EGB. No complaints about the staff, and yes, lots and lots of bowling lanes...but I don't bowl.

My dad managed this place from 1964-1991 and my aunt and uncle owned the restaurant from 1975-1995 (actually that was two sets of aunts and uncles in that time frame). As you can see, alot of my childhood and family memories were integrated into that place. I was a bowling alley rat kid who grew up there. Man, if those walls could talk. So many stories, mostly good. Back in the day, it looked completely different than it does now. The new renovation looks very modern and streamlined. When I was a kid it had more of a rustic feel to it. An Elk head mounted on the wall in the bar (looking at the head I always thought it ironic that the "live" Elks in the fenced in area were kiddie corner from the alley in the forest preserve!!) and a working stone hearth fireplace. Lots of wood tables & chairs, a very woodsy feel to it and hell, back when it was built, there was nothing around but fields and trees, save for the biggest industrial park in the free world (until the 80's) thanks to Centex Corp., who built the largest planned community in the world.
The restaurant my family owned had my grandmother making homemade soup every day and they served really great homemade meals. During the day all the truck drivers in the area would come to eat there (some went miles out of their way).
I took my son there last year and we had a great time. Place looks very clean and snazzy. Still some old faces there too. However, bowling is so expensive these days that we rarely go anymore.
I go bowlig here all time. This place is just so nice! This bowling alley is huge! It is also verty clean-- not liek other places I have been too. Also, every wednsday they have special buy one get one free bowling. This is basically a nice place to hang out on the weekends with friends.
