nice chill place. There are so many flowers here. Nothing really special, except for the bunny shaped tree. that was cute. There are a few water fountains around. I took my mom here for mothers day outing. There's a parking lot in front of the garden that is kind of hidden, so we parked on the street. We wanted to use the restroom, but they were locked..My mom liked the place because of the shady areas there. There are picnic tables and chairs all around the garden.

I don't know who Elizabeth Gamble was but, a wonderful gift to the community was left in her name.  My children and I have enjoyed picnics and walks in this wonderful place.  Both my kids have always been taken with the large bunny topiary and the play hut made of branches as well as the coi pond.  We've also attended the Nutcracker puppet show, a very well run event that kept my extraordinarily active little ones focused and attentive during the entire performance.

One event I really hope will be brought back is story time in the Rose Garden.  In the past a Palo Alto Librarian has read stories in the Gamble Rose Garden at twilight twice during the summer.  This is a great opportunity for a picnic and/or a relaxing wind down before bedtime. I'm assuming the library staff has not had time for this activity due to the major renovations at the Children's Library  and all of the logistics around that in the past year.  I really hope they bring this back!  Regardless, visit this gem and peruse the calendar to find excuses to go back again and again.  This is a wonderful place!

A wonderful place of serenity and beauty and growth, perfect for quiet contemplation or a heart-to-heart conversation. Go with someone you love--or go alone and think about those that you love.

Lots of beautiful plants and flowers and open to the public.  There's even a handy small parking lot.  A fun way to spend some time on a sunny day.

This is a beautiful little gem of a working botanical garden right in the middle of impossibly picturesque Palo Alto.  It's relaxing just to walk thru the different beds and see the various stages of plant life, depending on the season.  Huge topiary rabbit at the back of the garden, near the shed, plus there's a room where they have Japanese tea ceremonies.  The Gamble house has a nice rose garden with a boxwood fence.

Maintained by volunteers and funded with donations, the Elizabeth F. Gamble Estate Garden Center can be found tucked away in a residential neighborhood near Stanford University off Embarcadero Rd in Palo Alto. The 2.5 acre estate was built in 1902 by a Procter & Gamble family member.  They have a nice collection of Herbs, Perennials, Roses, Magnolia trees, a newly built greenhouse. They also rent their facilities for weddings. I wish I had had enough money back when I got married to reserve this spot. It's beautiful there. If you are in the Palo Alto area, make sure to stop by this special place. Spring and Summer are the best times to see everything in bloom.
