The party starts here, Love Tuesdays!!! $1 Tecate and super cheap quesadillas, you can't pass this up! If you are doing anything on a Tuesday you have to start your night out here! Always a crowd but never a wait. Fun to go with a lot of friends with super fast service.

I like the food at Elenas, but the main reason to come here is TECATE TUESDAYS!! $1 Tecate or Tecate Light, !/2 off nachos and quesadillas, and $2 margaritas. Pair this with a bowl of queso and you will be in a cheese and beer induced coma. I always sit at the bar because the refills magically appear before I need one.

This is the original location. What can be said that has not been said already? One of the best Tex-Mex Restaurants in town. I like the atmosphere here more so than the Phelan location. It definitely seems more lively here.

Elena's has the best fajitas I have ever head. This is a must visit anytime I come to the area.
I cant comment on any of the other items, as I have always stuck with their fajitas, but I love this place.
The beef and chicken fajitas are so well seasoned and tender. I have tried to find somewhere closer to my house that can come close, but none have been this good.
Their rest of their menu is huge, and even picky eaters can find something they will like.
They also have a good beer selection, including my favorite, Negra Modelo.
One thing to know is that you pay your bill at the front. While paying your bill you can buy some Mexican cookies and candy. I have no use for them, but my family sure loves them.
The neighborhood doesn't seem to be the best, but the food is worth the drive. -

My wife and I especially enjoyed the Tortilla soup. They do a great job on this item. The fajitas are also very good. For lunch I had the soft taco with chicken which was good and the tamale which was not good at all.
My friends often get the flameado which is made with beef and lots of cheese. He is very happy with this selection, although I have not sampled it myself. The service is always quick, efficient and not smothering. The food comes out well presented and flavorful, and very quickly unless there is a large crowd, which os fairly frequent at noon and in the P.M.
Recommended and priced reasonably. The neighborhood does look a little seedy, but we have never had any problems, the many times we have been there both at noon and in the evening. -

Tuesday - 1$ Tecate beer and 2$ Margarita, and being located in Beaumont bumped it up to 4.
The place was normal, had a ton of cars there but wasn't that crowded. Otherwise it looks as if the place could get wild at night.
They keep serving the up chips and salsa as long as you like, the salsa is very good and spicy! I had the 5$ Quesadiallas special, they were good, meat was somewhat dry, and it was served with sour cream and Guaco. Will make another trip there when working in the Beaumont and looking for Mexican in the area. -

Chicken fajitas. Yup, that's really all I need to say here. My chief complaint at most Mexican or Tex-Mex places is that their chicken is fatty, thin, full of gristle, etc. Not at Elena's. They are absolutely delicious! Nicely proportioned and very lean! The queso and salsa are pretty good, and there are plenty of other dishes that I get when I want a break from fajitas; however, I have yet to find any other restaurant with chicken fajitas that are better than Elena's. I've been eating here since 1990, and although I am no longer in the area, I definitely try to stop by when I'm in town.
Even when the place is packed, the wait is usually not very long. I remember eating here when it was in the smaller building next door. The wait was often out the door and around the side, but it was always worth it! They've been in the current building for a good while now and are able to accommodate more patrons at a time. -

Great great great....... Their Chicken Quesadiallas are the BOMB their fajitas are soooo juicy that they make you wanna slap your momma!!! also try their tamales which are homemade and delicious!!! Also i would like to point out that they have $1 TECATE TUESDAYS which is awesome.... Their salsa is really good better than most TEX-Mex or Mexican restaurant's which use spaghetti sauce.... try their queso which is the bomb as well!!! Don't forget to try their margaritas
Really great atmosphere, friendly helpful waiters, that always try to please the customers

This is my favorite Mexican food in Beaumont. Many of the menu items are great - go try the lunch specials to save a few bucks. My favorite menu items are the beef fajitas.

I married someone from the Beaumont area. And when we were dating, and whenever we go back to SETX, she usually says, "We gotta go to Elena's." One time we went to Elena's, and her friends had a hissy fit because we didn't invite them.
Overall, it's a good place, about on par with other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The portions are good sized, spicy but not too spicy, and the prices are right. And that's about it; not very memorable, but you'll get filled up with good food. After all, that's the reason to go to a restaurant, right? -

I didn't discover this restaurant until many years after I left Beaumont.
THESE ARE THE BEST FAJITAS IN THE WORLD!!
I've been scouring the Texas hill country restaurants for fajitas that even come close to Elena's tender, succulent, flavorful beef fajitas. I tried to reverse-engineer them for years. My family has all moved away from Beaumont - no excuses left to go there, so sad... -

I came here after slogging through an early morning hearing that turned into a late morning hearing on an empty stomach and a glowing recommendation from my boss.
I was highly disappointed. The food was mediocre, certainly no better than the average Tex-Mex fare outside of the great nation of Texas, but it also caused gastric disturbances for all three of the people I was with. Talk about a let-down! I'll stick with Los Pericos in H-ville! -

This place has been in Beaumont for quite some time. I like the red-sauce a lot and the prices are very fair. Try the specials for lunch, the price is really hard to beat.

I had dinner here with a friend on a Monday evening. We were seated promptly and our server arrived at the table quickly. She was friendly and suggested some queso which we gladly ordered. The queso was yummy. We shared the chicken fajitas and were both quite happy with them.

A pretty standard Tex-Mex place. I had a combo platter which was good but pretty typical--nothing out-of-the-ordinary.
Don't take my two-star review to mean that it's a bad place. I'd go here again, but it's just that I've had better elsewhere.
