Mmm delightful! I had a massage and facial last night...and I stilllll feel awesome. It's small, yes, but it didn't feel awkwardly so. The massage and facial rooms were comfortable, clean, and relaxing. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, which is always great to find.
The neighborhood is adorable, I haven't really checked out that area much...but I think I will now!
I'd definitely not only come here again, but also recommend to friends. No complaints from me. Remember to bring cash for tips!
Very small. You definitely need an appointment for almost anything, especially on the weekends. Their massage area is tiny and there are no showers or locker room. Having said that the massage I had was very nice. The service wasn't overly great though and it was fairly hot in the whole place. Its also pricey for having such limited facilities.
Their manicure area is nicer, but again not a lot of room for more than a couple people at a time.
I've never been to their salon, although I've heard good things about it.
Aside from dating someone in the salon, I can honestly say the salon itself is pretty nice. I have had my hair cut there by Orestes who is really awesome, he has a lot of insight and he can pretty much give you anything you want. He's done my faux-hawk in the past and it's always came out great. But for the typical manly man that still likes the salon "feel" you don't have to be worried you're going to go in and come out looking like Donald Trump.
I've been getting my hair done here since I moved to Charlestown a couple years ago and it's a great place with a wide variety of hair and spa services. I see Kristen and she always does an excellent job on my highlights and cuts. Once I made a last minute appointment and couldn't see Kristen as she was booked for the day, so I saw Lisa, who is fairly new and she also did a really great job on my hair.
Besides the great stylists, another thing I love about Element is that they mail/email you special deals and coupons- like on your birthday and "last minute deals". It is always nice to save a few dollars here and there! They are also an Aveda salon and you can purchase Aveda products there.
I went to see Kristen after I found a really great deal online!!! It was if you get a full highlight, you got a free haircut! I was lucky enough to get Kristen! She was great she really listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. She also had some good suggestions on how to wear my hair different etc. She really seems to love her job, and take it seriously. I would definitely recommend this fun girl!
PS I also got a massage there that came with a free manicure!! I can't remember the girl's that took care of me, but it was heaven!
One of the best salons ever! I've had Kristy cut my hair since the salon opened, and she's wonderful. She's very patient and listens to what you want. I've haven't had a bad haircut in more than a year.
I've had eyebrow threading done by Anita - and she's very good too.
Overall, the place is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very courteous and polite. Never a long wait to be seen.
I got a spa facial a few weeks ago...really great. I hadn't had one in a while so the woman basically dug into my face (gross) and that hurt like hell...but you know, it has to be done. My skin still looks wonderful and she gave me great tips on how to keep up that wonderful glow. It's also steps from my apartment so that's a total plus.
i actually work in this location now as a stylist and if u like to be pampered and be in a nice quiet atmosphere element is the place to go its an aveda concept salon which uses only aveda products which are very good for you hair its a full spa and the service is great.the aveda tea is wonderful and its just a really nice spot to relax and not be so stressed out..i came from working in the hustle and bustle of downtown crossing and this is a nice change ...i had gone in to get a deep tissue massage from jaime and wow was it great i felt so relaxed and comfortable i could of had it last for more than an hour an be happy,, but the hour was still worth it. shes very good
