Yuca, platanos, and pupusas fans take note- El Trapiche will leave you in bliss.  My mother-in-law and any cardiologist would cringe if they saw our table- fried yuca and chicarrones, fried platanos artfully a platter next to pool of refried black beans and crema, and made-to-order pupusas.  Queso, queso/chicarrones, and loroco pupusas were all washed down by a huge horchata.  The only downside was the tv blaring Monday night Raw.  Super friendly service and worth it on your way to/from the airport.

My Mom's family hails from El Salvador, which means that I sometimes get an itch for authentic Salvadoran food. Finding excellent pupusas away from central america has often proven difficult. However, El Trapiche has number 1...the most important component of good latin food - authentic & tasty frijoles! Additionally, the pupusas & platanos fritos are awesome. I stop by there on my way to the airport and am never disappointed. I can't say enough how happy I am that El Trapiche exists!

A salvadoran friend recommended this place.  Very authentic cuisine.  Pupusas were excellent.  The staff was nice.  It's a bit of a drive, but overall worth it.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall.  Inside is sparsely decorated and the night we were there, it was kinda cold inside.  Several people did not take off their coats.

Authentic Salvadoran food. It's spacious and except for the English being spoken here and there, it feels like El Salvador. There is no rush to finish your food (you have to ask for the check). The pupusas are yummy and of course you can't miss the platanos. I wish they were closer, but it's worth the drive.
