this morning, like a mad woman at 7:30AM, I ran in here to get some dried hibiscus, aka jamica!  It was for a class art project that we are working on. I wasn't too sure that I would find what I was looking for, given it was so early in the morning and I had NO idea what kinds of items they had sstocked in this place. To my delight and surprise, they had just what I needed. True, all the workers called me a "china loca" but whatever. I got the ish I needed and I made it into my room just 10 minutes before the bell. Thank goodness.  The last thing that I want is for my students to think that I am horribly forgetful or that I do not care about them.  That's the last thing that any good teacher would ever want. And yes, it stunk inside there. There were beans from torn bags all over the place. There was produce being unpackaged and tons of workers just straggling in. Regardless, they were willing to help me and make sure it was exactly what I was looking for. Yay!! Tapatio Market saved the day, believe it or not.

this place stinks. i went in to get mexican bread and you'd think, mexican place, chain stores, they've got their act together, right?

wrong.

the sweet mexican bread was dry and old. which was totally depressing as parking outside was a pain and the place was overcrowded and loud. i felt like pulling a charlton heston and parting the seas of people before someone accidentally killed me with their shopping cart or i completely lost it with the aimlessly wondering crowds.

their product selection is ok. i decided to do a run of the store and you know they have what any grocery store has, except in mexican. this is a highly targeted store. this is why i figured the bread would be good in the first place.

took a stroll through the meat department and it felt dirty and some portions of the floor were sticky. must have been the cleaning department's day off.

if you have the slightest sense of claustrophobia, i'd not recommend coming here. never mind the product selection.
