Definitely a lunch spot.

I love the carne asada tacos big time. I do agree the chips are hit or miss, though.

The service is "minimal at best" but you just kind of get used to it. I've been here several times and as far as I can tell there's one guy who does all the "front of the house" work, so whatever, cut him a break. ;^)

Besides, it's tough to beat the price.

Why is it that a place you would never give a good review if it was a dinner spot, is still good enough for a workday lunch? Are my lunch standards really low compared to my dinner standards? Wow, this is getting deep.

Anyway, El Taco Loco is a good lunch joint. I'm a fan of their salsa and guacamole, though their chips are hit and miss. Last week when it was raining all the time, the chips were pretty stale and disappointing. Their tacos are yummy with lots of fresh cilantro. The best part is that it's super cheap and has free parking (and close to my work). So if your sick of you're usual lunch routine give 'em a shot.

Certainly better that Chipotle or Qdoba, but not excellent. The chicken burrito I ordered was grilled with onions and peppers so it tasted more like a Philly (Chicken) Cheesteak than an burrito. It was tasty, but not what I thought I'd get when I ordered.
