3 reviews for El Salto Authenic Mexican Restaurant
With Mexican restaurants, it seems like the ones with with worst buildings and locations have the best food. This place is a dive, but the food is really good. I love the fajitas, which they offer in lunch portions if that's your thing. Good chips and salsa too.
But my favorite thing about the restaurant? The waiters always call me "amigo". A trip to a Mexican restaurant isn't the same unless I get "amigo'd" at least once. My second favorite thing about this place? It is called "El Salto", which is Spanish for "The Salto".
Oh El Salto, how I long for your runny white queso dip!
Best Mexican place in T-town. Actually, it's sort of hard to comment on the food because I am too busy stuffing my face with the chips, salsa, and queso.
A must if you're into vacant strip malls coupled with greasy tex-mex.
Good food! Try the Alhambre - description from the menu: "The staff agrees this special should not be missed. Tender skirt steak is grilled with bacon, onion, poblano peppers & oaxaca cheese. There is also an unbelievable salsa made from Roasted Tomatillo and chile de arbol. Make your own taco with your choice of tortillas, rice & beans"
