What a great little family owned Hotel.
They have been awarded a three-diamond rating from AAA and offer a discount to AAA members.
The heated pool and whirlpool spa are located just beyond the garden area. I took a stroll through the beautiful calming gardens a couple times a day.
They also have an exercises room, which I would have nothing to do with. I had wine to drink.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are so cozy I wanted to stay forever. I need a new bed.
There is a small dining area where they serve a continental breakfast with FRESH squeezed Orange juice, and gourmet pastries.
This is one Hotel that does not require a two-night minimum. Seems every other place does.
Close to downtown Sonoma, where you can enjoy great food at the local restaurants, or shop at some of the sweetest boutiques you ever saw.
Enjoy.........

To the owners:

Please change the name of your motel. No offense, but I would never stay at a motel with a Hispanic name. It makes you think of cheap motels on the highway that have criminal pasts. I love the look of the place, but for all the capital improvements put into the place, the name of the business screams "cheap" and "motel."

Not good.

Change the name to something more endearing, countryish and makes people think of a bed and breakfast. Like "Farm Country Inn" or "Sonoma Ranch" or something.

Two seconds out of a fruffy cutesy town. Well, maybe it's not far enough out of town but close enough to get some vino, throw back a few and be on the highway again in the morning to make it into the Redwoods.

If you're roadtripping north, it is a decent stop for the value. While you're there, tell them the King wants his Pumas back that he forgot.

We stayed during the Memorial weekend for the Sonoma Jazz Festival.  The Inn is very nice and well kept.  I especially enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub which is open 24 hours.  Our room was clean and spacious with it's own private patio.  Although I will have to say that the staff at the front desk was not very friendly, she had somewhat of an attitude.   We also did not know that they do NOT allow any late check outs.
Ample parking is available and the area is nice and quiet.
Except for the snooty front desk staff, overall we would stay there again.

Clean and reasonably priced for Sonoma Valley.  The place had a heated pool and was within walking distance to restaurants and shops.  The staff was very friendly.

I would definitely go back here the next time I'm in Sonoma.

The hubby says 4 for the high value, I'm more 3.5. Unlike most places in the Sonoma Valley, they accept one-night reservations. To balance that out, they do not accept group room blocks.

Everything has been remodeled to some degree; but if you're expecting something beyond a soccer road trip or no-frills room, ask about their deluxe rooms and suites. They are quite charming at an exceptional price. The standout is how the staff is very sweet and informative.

Swimming pool. Charming central courtyard oasis -- the fountain turning on made us think it had indeed started raining. No DVD players in the general rooms so plan ahead if you're traveling with little ones or plan on camping out in the room.

It has a decent number of rooms compared to what you typically find in the valley. Swimming pool. Stairs -- make sure to request ground level rooms if you have a lot of gear or a hard time with stairs.

Workout room. Pool with Cabana. Parking lot. Continental breakfast. AAA discount. Soda machines. Newspaper machines.

Thanks to Jill C for her helpful review- saved me the trouble of calling around to a bunch of places only to find out 2 night reservations are the norm. around here.
I stayed at the "El Pueb" for a night when I was in Sonoma for a workshop.  It was OK- maybe not quite A-OK, but fine for one night. Heck, better than a lot of places I've stayed, I have to admit!   It's sort of on the outskirts of town, so you can't walk to the Plaza- but you are across the street from a Tortilliaria, always a boon right? It's also on Highway 12, which was a little noisy until traffic died down at 10:00 PM.
Nice little work out room that I actually used and enjoyed all to myself , ran on the treadmill looking out on the beautifully landscaped pool and hot tub. Nice breakfast in the morning with a good seating area in which to dine. Each employee I interacted with was really nice.
I was really into the landscaping, as you can see from the pictures I posted. The roses in the parking lot were blooming and beautiful.
The worst part of the stay was the paper thin walls and the a-hole in the room next to me who had their TV on super loud!  It was like I was watching the crappy action movie right along with them. I wore earplugs and could still hear every bomb explode.  Granted I go to bed earlier than your grandma, but Hey!  Thin hotel walls- why!?
If you belong to AAA, you get a generous discount, hook it up!

The challenge - find a hotel in Sonoma that accepts reservations for one night instead of the two-night minimum. Once you try, you'll find it's near impossible.

Thankfully, someone pointed me to El Pueblo Inn, located a few (not really walkable but easily drive-able) blocks from the Sonoma town square.

El Pueblo is basically a renovated motel-style inn with outside entrances to the individual rooms, but they've done the best they can with the property to make it feel like a hideaway. Extensive landscaping in the courtyard makes it nearly impossible to see across the way to the other rooms. The pool & lounge area with palm trees in the fenced side yard is a nice addition.

The rooms were clean and well-stocked, keeping more with the business-traveler or family road-trip vibe (mini fridge, coffee maker, bland standard hotel decor) than the luxury vacation vibe (which would include fancy toiletries, terry robes, and a channel on the CC TV that plays some kind of electronic jazz).  In other words, the rooms are nothing you would squeal at when you open the door, but are perfectly clean and functional for a good night's sleep.

Easy parking, easy check-in and check-out. The service was functional but unmemorable, but on par with the environment. I'd recommend El Pueblo as a great place to stay if you're, say, attending a wine country wedding and can only stay one night. Or if you're passing through on a road trip. If you wanted a special romantic weekend, however, where the hotel's environment was a major player in the experience, maybe look for a two-night minimum kind of place.

Three stars. Gets the job done.

I stayed here this past weekend and it was lovely.  It was a charming room equipped with a beautiful gas fireplace for when you are feeling cold or romantic, ceiling fan that you can adjust if it is too stuffy and the traditional built in wall ac/heater.  I have never seen all three in one room.  I thought that was pretty impressive.  They served continental breakfast from 6am-10am.  However, it was only pastries, juice coffee, cereal and yogurt.  No eggs, waffles, hash browns(like I was expecting).  They had a small gym equipped with one elliptical, one stairmaster and one treadmill(that was the gym).  They did have a pool and jacuzzi, but it was too cold outside to get in.

Downtown Sonoma is only a few blocks away with a bunch of little shops and an array of restaurants.  Overall this was a nice little getaway.
