I'm on the hunt for a new close comfy spot to frequent for dinners since I've relocated to SG recently. Went to check this place out since its right by the house but I wasn't pleased. It was too "fast food" at a resturant for my taste. It should be one or the other no? The food was mediocre, my shrimp meal had no hint or flavor of garlic. I had the Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo. I judge locations based on their Mojo de Ajo (Garlic sautee sauce) because i love to wipe up the oils and garlic with a tortila but this was the driest version I've tried. Large shrimp but flavorless as far as I was concerned. Also, the salsa they give you with chips was too spicfy for my bland tongue LOL. This will be my last "I don't feel like driving" resort for meals.

Ok moving on.....still searching for my new home LOL. Casa Jimenez in Whittier, I miss you. You always have to a spot where everybody knows your name and they always knew us hahah. Knew how we liked it :)

Big portions, cheap prices, quality food. South Central representin'.

Honestly, my $10 seafood soup had so much shrimp, fish, squid, octopus in it that it lasted me 3 meals. I was gonna grow a tail and fins.

    Love this place!

Good Mexican style seafood. I don't really like their other dishes but go for the seafood! The Ceviche is great, the cocktails are good, the shrimp platters kick butt...just try it!

Came here for the first time on 5/21. They serve nachos with yummy beans, shredded cheese and jalapeños. I could have done without the jalapeño. The salsa that accompanied the nachos was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the carne asada plate that came with a small shrimp soup before the meal had arrived. Since he doesn't like seafood much, he gave it to me. It was okay. The plate came with carne asada, rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, grilled green onion and chile. The carne asada was flavorful, he said the rice and beans were okay. I ordered a tostada mixta and a coctel de camaron. OMG!! The seafood was amazingly delicious! It was so fresh. Not only that but they served me enough for two tostadas! I was full after I ate my tostada. My boyfriend and I didn't even finish everything that was on our plate. You have to come hungry cause these portions are BIG. I ended up taking my coctel de camaron and what I had left of the seafood from the tostada home and my boyfriend half his carne asada plate. Later that night I ate the coctel de camaron, it was good but I liked the tostada better. The service was fast and the employees were super friendly and attentive. I like the fact that they have little buzzers on their napkin dispenser so you can press it for service. I will definitely come back here!

We've all heard that before other people can rescue us, we need to do something for ourselves first. So, I, standing on top of this tower of my evil step-mother's, stopped weeping, tore my bedsheets from the Mexican liquidation stores next door in pieces and started making ropes to get out from the tiny window...

Has anybody read the book "Women Who Love Too Much" about women that always date guys that're married, alcoholics, drug addicts, violent, manipulative, cheaters and shit like that because they "love" them? I can't tell you how much resemblances I feel for those women when I eat too terrible stuff just cuz I'm hungry... Things are falling apart here. I can't take Chuck's Mexican Chinese food or those serial fake Thai's here anymore. Those guys're emotionally abusive, let alone unhealthy. It's time to take matters into my own hands... I realized I had to find him... My dream guy who's READY... with affordable delicious lunches in Bell / Cudahy / Bell Garden / South Gate area... I'll pay, no worry... Chemistry is the key... and finally I found him 1 mile away from my office! My El Pescador #5!

My new guy is decently clean, busy, big among all other El Pescador's which probably are pretty much the same. He saves me from continuing to victimize myself in hunger blues. Their lunch special is so cheap, only $5.50 for green, red burrotoes, beef, fish tostadas and in a low carb day, shrimp soup with everything. That nice and cool fish tostada is just lovely on a hot day... Their service is crazy fast too. Just call in and pick up in 5 minutes or get there and chill. They'll never get you in trouble for running over your 1 hour lunch. The waitresses speak good English and are nice so when I call and say "I'd like to order..." in English they don't hang up on me like I'm a telemarketer... Seriously some of the nearby Mexican restaurants just hang up when I order by phone in English... Bitches. They might have forgotten how it feels to be hungry and rejected... It broke my heart... But El Pescador is just so cool... The $6.75 breakfasts're also available all day too... Oh man... Woo hoo! Did anybody try their dinners here? I'm looking at the $21 Langostas with lobster and shrimps and they look good too... A dinner date in South Gate is definitely gonna be very special for sure... I don't know if I wanna be here after 6PM though... according to my co-workers...

I finally got over the exes after the El Pescador's came into my life. They're the one for me.
