Beaumont, CA
When I first moved to Beaumont a couple years ago I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a good place for Mexican food. I was very relieved to find El Mariachi. Everything I've had here is delicious..... especially their carne asada burritos and chorizo breakfast burritos. The service is always quick and friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place as a sit down restaurant as it is very small and not all that comfortable or quiet. But to pick up a good mexican meal at a reasonable price, there's no better place in the area. The portions are generous and delicious. But if you hate paying ATM fees (as I do), then it's best to bring cash because they charge.

Im all about the bacon breakfast burritos. Yes, it has a lot of potatoes, I like that. Great for sober mornings or hung-over ones. Open late also so it's great for the munchies!

I was at the Cabazon outlets late one night and my stomach needed food, STAT! I turn to Yelp [of course] and minutes later I find myself at El Mariachi.
The staff here is very accommodating and I felt very welcomed. Also, I appreciate how clean and efficient they are. I noticed the employees cleaned after every customer. One employee even cleaned the salsa bar after she clocked out and was on her way out. Awesome!
Unfortunately, however, their food was just okay. Though the food wasn't magnificent it will hit the spot when one is as hungry as I was. Specifically, I found my carne asada really bland. If they modify their recipe EM would be solid five star. -

Great for breakfast burritos or a quick, quality lunch bite. The place is always clean and fresh tasting. Have gotten many different items on the menu, with no complaints whatsoever. I especially enjoy the carne asada burrito. A good local spot for tasty mexican food.

Burritos are prepared fresh. My breakfast burrito was tasty and I added salsa from the salsa bar. My husbands chicken burrito was moist and tasty and he purchased a combo plate. Reasonable prices and good sized portions. Will come back again.

This place is legit. Sure as hell beats going to Del Taco or TB! The employees are nice, friendly and the food is great. They don't get all bent out of shape if you "customize" your order. I love the carne asada burrito. I even got them to cater a meeting I was holding nearby. They whipped up the food quick, reasonably priced and got RAVE reviews from everyone.
It's a good local mexican food spot. Especially in this boon-ville city. -

Immediately after I arrived in SD I had to trek it up by Palm Springs to visit a good friend of mine & finally check out her cute home.
One of my main goals everytime I'm in Cali is to get in as much Mexican food time as possible. So I made it quite clear to my friend that while I was visiting I needed to get my fix.
She said her go to spot was El Mariachi, so she took me over.
Now I've had some of the best carne asada fries in SD & let me tell you, El Mariachi can rival them. Really good, well dressed, no oil runs. Their green & red salsas were on point & the green one gives your ass a run for it's money.
Their horchata was spot on as well.
No complaints here & I would def hit this place up again should I be in the neighborhood. -

This is relay the only place that is open after 9... ugh not fun when you are use to being in Orange county ya know.
Anyway, love the Carne asada tacos and there hard shredded beef tacos.
But don't think my tummy likes um much :/ -

If you are looking for great authentic Mexican food relatively fast then this is the best place to go locally.
From the standard Carne Asada Burrito to Menudo, they do it all. The tacos are fantastic, and the have the killer hot red sauce to top it all off. This is my go to restaurant when I craving Mexican food. -

Once upon a time, a really fat El Mariachi carne asada burrito embarked on an hour long journey. Loaded with meat and slathered in guacamole, little did the meat only burrito know it would soon face it's horrific demise.
After it's hour long journey, it was still pretty tasty -

Sad, but true...I'm still sticking with the 3 stars. Wanted to update that YES I have tried the carne asada fries and believe the hype the first time you try it. I believe the second time you order it, it looses it's dazzle. I know sooo many people that devour it every single time but I'm here to inform you that it's the complete opposite.
I'm pretty sure it's the warm guacamole that turns me completely off at a point. Definitely share this one with a few comrades like almost all of the entrees served here.
In conclusion, carne asadas: hit it then quit it. An entree that one should definitely NOT try conquering themselves.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Riverside, CA
I've had really good here and then other times it was mediocre. As far as walk in taco shops (non sit down joints) there aren't a lot to choose from. Prices are decent, and I've never had anything BAD here, I would just like a little more consistency.

We go here because it's close to our house. The food is good and fast. The best things I have tried were the breakfast burrito and the fish tacos. The carne asada is really good too. I don't really care for their rice and beans. Nothing special. One thing that is horrible is the chicken burrito. It's questionable chicken, peppers and onions. Really bad taste. But most items I have tried have been good.

It's a good price for Mexican food. The burrito's are large and very tasty. So far I have had the fish burrito and the chimichunga. Both very tasty.
The toquito's and the taco's were not so great. Other than that, would come here again to try other things on the menu. -

El Mariachi is a great hole in the wall type restaurant without the hole in the wall feel. It's not cheap, but like most good Mexican restaurants you get what you pay for. Most burritos are huge, and average anywhere between $4 and $5. The Carne Asada is my favorite as they give you a lot, there's little to no fat, and the flavor is amazing. My only complaints are if it's busy it may take a while (you can call an order in), and they don't accept Credit cards and charge $.65 for using your debt card. So bring cash. Other then that I will continually go back. Today I ate the California Burrito. Carne asada, cheese, pico de gallo, and hash brown potatoes. Amazing.

This place is passably okay and I eat here semi regularly. I love their California burrito, but everything else I have tried leaves me disappointed. The staff is always friendly and my food always comes out quickly.

Out in bum fu*k egypt, there is very little that can garner 5 stars. I mean, Beaumont is really far out there. But for a tiny establishment to specialize in the art of burritos, it deserves the honors. Relatively quick, inexpensive, and always fresh. If you are a fan of carne asada, and this is the place. If not, they have chicken, carnitas, taquitos... On the weekend mornings, they even have Menudo. An added bonus: breakfast all day. If you haven't done it before, eat a breakfast burrito for dinner. You'll thank me.

My girlfriend is the one who introduced me to this place cuz she claimed it was better than the almighty King Taco which is serious blasphemy to me.......while it's nowhere in the same league at KT...El Mariachi makes some GOOOOOD food. I've only tried 4 of the items, and can tell you that the california burrito (which i have customized with french fries instead of potatoes and no pico de gallo) is my favorite. You can call in your order beforehand because sometimes it takes a little while to get your food but if you're with a friend it doesn't matter too bad. There isn't much seating so avoid peak hours as much as you can. The other items I've had are the carne asada burrito which is sumptuous and juicy and just amazing, the carne asada fries which are good (w/out guac) and their tacos which are ok, but not the greatest. Their best salsa though definitely has to be their green one. The reds are good but have a weird taste to it, whereas the green has a very welcome flavor and light kick (i love a good kick but this one's just right). If you're in the area or traveling on your way to Palm Springs, I highly recommend stopping off here.

This is my second time at El Mariachi. As soon as I walked in I was taken back to my childhood visiting my aunts house, and spending the whole day there playing and eating great mexican food. I had a carne asada burrito and it was fabulous. My fave is the green salsa. I will def be back to try other menu items.

5 stars for the burritos, nachos, and carne asada fries. they are all delicious!
3 stars for the taquitos... you get a lot for your money but they are a little disappointing - they need more meat.
Overall I love this place and it is our go-to Mexican place in Beaumont!
