Review from John M.
Fernley, NV
This is the best Mexican food in Fernley. That's not saying a whole lot, since your only other choice is La Fiesta. La Fiesta is NOT that great. The only advantage of going to La Fiesta is that they can cater to a larger crowd.
El Guadalajara has great food. Their decor is rustic, but the food is awesome. -

If I can stop one person for eating here I will have saved a appetite gone wrong. The worse Mexican food I ever ate. I had carne asada dinner plate and my wife had fajita ranchero (they don't have regular fajita's here). Her meal was free cuz she took 2 bites and watched me try to stomach a $11 dollar meal. Please don't eat here I live in Fallon so I don't know all the restaurants in Fernley but I do know that driving 20-30 min away from Fernley is better then putting this sorry excuse for Mexican food in you mouth

This is one of two mexican restaurants in town. I have not tried La fiesta but, I had a chimichanga and it was great. I would come back again.
**7/8/08 -- I had the chimichanga from LF and the one I tried here was better IMO -

This is gross place to eat. I am mexican and hate it.
Good way to know if the food at a Mexican place is good, check out the customers, are there a lot of latinos eating in there???...if so it's good, if not you make think twice before eating dinner there again.
Really not a good place to eat authentic mexican food.
Disappointed, since we only have a couple places in town. -

Better food then you would expect to find. Had the Camarones a la Diabla (Spicy Shrimp). Fair portions with friendly service. My girlfriend had the Lengua and liked it. Nice, clean atmosphere.

Good, fresh, food, reasonable prices, friendly service, and the fact that I am referred to as "jefe" when I enter, will keep me coming back time after time. I highly recommend the Grilled Shrimp; it's nice and spicy. I enjoy the horchata here as well.

This is the best for me as well, being there is not a variety here, me coming from San Jose, CA where you have too many to count. Me I moved here and went to LF sat down, read the menu and NO CARNITAS, so I got up and left and went here, was a good move on my part.
