Review from David B.

Great food, very reasonably priced.
The owners are often working in the kitchen, and are in late at night. One evening we went in, and it was just the two of them and us. They brought their own dinner out in front and visited with us while they ate too. It was like eating with friends...great experience, and they really are nice folk doing their best to make great food. They eat it themselves, which always makes for a good sign. -

Whoa! The real deal..the staff is friendly and humors my attempts at spanish.. but the food is the real star tastes great and priced even better.. I'm partial to the breakfast burritos after a late night

I've been meaning to stop here for awhile and finally did. I was in a hurry and just grabbed two steak soft tacos and they were perfect for lunch. Come topped with grilled onions, raw onions, and cilantro with a small container of tasty hot sauce. Perfecto :)
I hope to do my part to spread the word so this little place can stay open...the location makes it difficult to stumble upon.
Up next--the burritos :) Can't wait to try them! -

This is not high end Mexican food, but is high end taste. Great place to eat lunch. Fresh food, outstanding burritos. My guess is dinner would be equally as good. Small, clean and very good service. Authentic Mexican. They even have outdoor seating. A little nondescript building makes it easy to miss. I look forward to trying more things on the menu. Cheers to El Comel!
If you live in Winchester, eat here. Let's keep these guys around.
Closed on Mondays. -

I read the first review and decided to give it a try while passing through the Winchester area. The restaurant is two easy miles off I-81. I'm not from Winchester, so I had a hard time finding it. If you find Grand Furniture store, they're right across the street.
Awesome burritos! If you like Mexican food Taco Bell-style, you should go to Taco Bell. If you want authentic Mexican, go to El Comel. -

Unpretentious authentic place for great tacos and burritos and other Mexican dishes. The girl behind the counter was so sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be back.
