It really ticks me off that the bathrooms are upstairs. There is no rushing out for a quick pee in the middle of a movie at this theater.  Not all of the theaters have stadium seating. Actually, I pretty much hate this place and always go to the Roxy when it is an option.

This used to be "the spot" when I was in high school. I remember my friend getting his license and when we were pulling out of the parking space, him running into a pole. He was trying to show off for the girl in the front seat, but looked more like a fool. Anyways, went here today to see The Simpsons with my siblings. I already saw it the previous week before, but loved it enough to see it again. To my delight, they have a special, movies for $5 before 5.
Since our show started at 4:50, we scored 3 tickets, $15. +2 stars
Cashier and concession stand staff, extremely nice and professional. + 2 stars
Seats aren't all that, but overall clean +1 star.
Cost of large popcorn, two sodas, and child's meal. $22 -1 star.
Annoying ushers going up and down the isle trying to sell candy. popcorn. -1 star
Overall, it just blew my mind how I paid more for popcorn/soda than the movie itself.

Oh lord I hate this theater. I remember when it first opened up while I was in junior high, and everyone was really excited about it. To be fair, it seemed pretty snazzy at the time. And it was THE place to go for dates.

Fast forward a dozen years later, and it's just tired and old and sort of gross. My least favorite things about this theater:

1. The ridiculously slow service. You can be, literally, the second person in line at the snack bar and it STILL takes ten minutes to get your food. Whether it's because the people behind the counter are chatting with each other or just plain going slowly, it doesn't matter. There's always some reason why you will NOT get your food in a timely fashion.

2. The lack of stadium seating. Enough said.

3. The fact that it is still, apparently, a popular hang-out for the pre-teen set. It always seems absolutely overrun with kids who had to get dropped off there by their parents because they're too young to drive. But somehow, the parking lot is STILL always overcrowded. I don't get it.

4. The strange noises that I heard the last time I was there. We were sitting in the seats off to the side of the theater, and there was a definite rustling sound that went on for about five minutes before I, totally freaked out, forced the people I was with to move seats. I don't know for sure if it was a rodent or a large insect or what, but I definitely heard SOMETHING. That was the last straw for me -- I haven't been back since.

With the addition of the Roxy in Camarillo recently, there's really no point in going to this theater until they decide to clean up and get with the times.
