I much prefer this cineplex to the others in town when I want to see a movie.  Even though this theater isn't the newest in town, the theaters, seats, and clientele are much nicer than at the other theaters in Bakersfield.  

My only gripe would be the film selection (is it really necessary to show Spiderman on 4 screens?) and the hordes of kids that swarm the shopping center on weekends.  Ugh...

Every time I go to Bakersfield, my cousins take me here to see a movie. It's in a great plaza, with lots of restaurants. And there's always lots of people here. It's bopper central, it's college central (it's just across the street from CSU Bakersfield), and it's also a great place for families.

I've never noticed before.. but the theaters and screens are smaller than AMC's and Century's (or at least that's how it looked like to me). I went to see Rush Hour 3 the weekend it came out and the size of their theater to show new releases was like the same size they'd show month old movies - if you know what I'm saying.

But anyways.. the seats are comfortable - very large, green cushioned seats. They even rock back a little and are love seats (just put up the arm rest/cup holder). And it's also very clean. I guess my only complaint is the set up. I haven't been there enough to really be familiar with it - but it always seems so crowded in the lobby. It's kinda too small for all the folks that come in on Saturday night.
