I still love this place.....

but just beware of the fucking teeny boppers that are here. if you like the teeny boppers and you are into that scene, then come here during the 7-8pm time slot when their parents are dropping/picking them off/up.

otherwise, wait for a later time for them to all disappear into bed before their curfew!!!!

You know what's funny? I'm almost inclined to say that this theater and Restaurant Row in combination with each other is the weekend hub of San Marcos.  It's a mess on weekends especially if there's a blockbuster movie out.

If I'm out at this theater, I recommend avoiding the lines by going to a decent matinee time, buying your tickets at the machine next to the doors on the right instead of standing in line for a window.  You'll save yourself up to15 minutes sometimes.

Although movie food is still overpriced, the hot dogs and processed nacho cheese and Mr. Pibb/Dr. Pepper will still bring me smiles. LOL

Holy shit this theater was crowded the other evening!  I think there are something like 18 theaters.... and not enough damn parking.

We saw The Bank Job....very good, by the way.... the seats were comfortable.... like 'making out' comfortable.

Friendly staff.

I had no problems seeing a new release here.  In fact, I was impressed that it was one of the only theatres in all of the San Diego showing The Kite Runner on its opening week.  Definitely would come here again.

I live in San Marcos(my dad works in Long Beach which is why it says it in my profile) and frequently go see mainstream films at this theatre, and if an indie gets here, I'll definitely go. If you go before a movie has been out for 4 weeks, it looks and sounds great. Crowds are average during the week, but HUGE on weekends and holidays. The Restaurant Row is alot of fun as well, I love to enjoy a slice of pizza at Bada Bing, some Calimari over at Maui Bistro or some delicious Halibut at Fish House Vera Cruz.

For a long time this was one of the only  multi-plexes in North County. Getting tickets was once a feat on a Friday or Saturday night, but the traffic around this theater has more of less calmed down lately with the advent of  Escondido stadium theater. But this cineplex really livened up San Marco's restaurant row. Now it seems like new restaurants open up on San Marcos Blvd all the time.

The San Marcos Stadium Cinema is a pretty standard multi-plex. Independent films are rarely shown here, but this theater is worth going to because it is so close many eateries, so it is a premium place to go to if you want to do dinner and a movie.
