As a rampant inhabitants in many cities in America and so every where I had stepped my foot on, I made sure to have a good family doctor.  My experience at the Edmonds Family Practice had been the best and the physicians there are kind and experienced.

I had originally found Edmonds family practice on Yelp about a year ago after disappointments from seeing a couple of doctors around the area.  Lets cut to the chase.

The reasons they are great are:

 1. They have about 28 doctors in their office
 2. They are the largest Family & Walk In Clinic in the state of Washington.
 3. They have a huge facility and a WALK IN clinic (even open on weekends from 9AM-4PM so you wouldn't have to deal with the headaches or long waits by going to the emergency room).
 4.  The doctors there are older and experienced.  I had seen a couple of doctors in the Seattle area where as I suspected they didn't know what they were doing, but the doctors here are on the money with their knowledge.
 5.  The staff are always nice, courteous, and on the money with their services too.
 6.  Minimum wait time which I think is very impressive.
 7.  Once I was late for an appointment with my doctor but since they had so many experienced doctors available, they were able to put me in to see another qualified and awesome physican in less than 5 minutes.
 8. They are honest by not making excuses for me to see them time and again, like the other shyster doctors.

my issues:

1. i used to come here as a kid. when i came as an adult to the free clinic, i was charged for the doctor taking a sample of skin, looking at it under a microscope, and telling me that he couldnt identify what was wrong. for a whopping 60 dollars, which i promptly paid. I soon got a notice stating that they were about to turn over my PAID account to collections. Turns out, they had credited my payment to me, but it was my file from when i was a kid, and for some reason they did not make the connection that i was the adult nina as well as the child nina.  Even though I called to correct the error i still got a 2nd notice.  I had to physically walk in and talk to someone face to face and then they corrected the error. BS. BIG BILLING ISSUES

2. I used to see Dr. Bagnulo when i was a kid, and every time i was sick, he examined me and told me there was nothing wrong, it was just a cold. I kept getting throat infections one after another. My mom had enough sense to take me to a specialist and when she did, he advised i get my tonsils out. corrected the throat issues.

3. They would always offer me experimental treatment for my conditions.  It just made me uncomfortable.

4. They always sent an intern to take my blood draw. I am blessed with very deep veins and very shallow veins. I have horror flashbacks of these stupid MA'S tying my arms fiercely with a tourniquet until they turned blue and running my arm under hot water to try and get a good vein, when if they had any training at all, they could have used a very small needle and taken it from one of the many shallow veins on the surface

Add that to the crappy waiting area and wait times of almost 2 hours, and u will see what  mean.

I used to see several doctors at this clinic, and have since found a new place for my care. I was never thrilled with the overall experience.

WAITING:

I often waited a very long time. While I'd expect this from any doctor's office, I don't expect to be waiting for an hour or more nearly every visit. Once I was waiting two hours after my appointment was originally scheduled for. If you go to see a doctor here, bring a book.

DOCTORS:

The doctors I saw were quite pleasant and friendly.

OVERALL MEDICAL CARE:

I was very, very sick two Summers ago. I went in to my regular doctor, Sims, and she wasn't sure what my problem was. She did blood tests, throat swabs, the whole nine yards. Weeks went by and I was told my tests were "normal". I still felt awful. I was so ill for weeks, I couldn't even work. I was given an antibiotic that did nothing.

I was finally in so much distress I went to the hospital ER.

The next day I saw a different doctor at the clinic, who took my old blood work out and announced that I had Mono. After weeks, no one had bothered to tell me this? I'd been mistreated with antibiotics and left to suffer much longer than I should have.

I don't have a lot of faith in this clinic and no longer see any of the doctors there.

I worked here for nearly a year as a receptionist.  Due to poor ergonomics at the front desk area, I developed low back pain and after dealing for a couple of months, I filed an L&I claim on a Monday.  I was promptly fired that same Friday.  And I was not the only employee to get hurt on the job here and get fired after filing a claim.

In a nutshell, patients should know if their doctor's office treats their employees fairly, with respect, and with safety.  You will not find any of those traits here, and you own health deserves better.  Keep searching.

After moving to the neighborhood a few years ago, I was referred to a doctor at this facility by one of my trusted specialists, and have been very happy with him as my primary physician. However, when I need to come in on short notice and see whoever is here, the results have not always been great. (It helps if you already have some idea what is wrong with you!) Dr. Donald Moe has always given me excellent care, and some of the other doctors there were very helpful, but I found that I had to take note of who I had seen, since there have been some definite disappointments. Please take note: The map that is shown for this facility is wrong; make sure it is the same facility.

I love EFMC!  I've been coming here for more then eight years now.  I recommend Dr.Martha Bennett to everyone.  My co-worker even go to her as her PCP.  She's normally runs on time but I don't mind the wait because I know there are emergencies. Her medical assistance is very nice too.  It is convenient that the clinic also has ultrasound, lab, xray and other specialties. The only bad thing I would say is having my blood draw by an intern because my arm was bruised afterwards.  It's not a life or death situation but I prefer not to have a purple arm.  Other then that.. I am glad I've found a place that will take good care of me.

I don't know. Maybe you just have to be careful who you see when you go here because I had a great experience. I saw Dr. Begert. The receptionist was incredibly nice and friendly when I checked in. Dr. Begert was great and took me seriously which was nice. The facilities are new and pleasant to be in. Plus this place offers practically everything. It is like a mini-hospital with so many facilities to it.
