4 reviews for Edith M Fox Branch Library
The Brady Bunch called and they want their wood paneling back. Zing!
Other than the really dated carpet, furniture, and EVERYTHING in here, it's a great smaller library. Always busy - ALWAYS - because they offer tons of community programs - singalongs, book readings, workshops, lectures. Even though it's small, this Fox is a wily one!

A great library...and....
They run a used kids clothing (called "The Little Fox, see Yelp! reviews...!) shop on Thursdays...and this past weekend....
They ran a women's used/second-hand clothing and (new) crafts sale that had so much excellent modern and vintage clothing, kids toys, housewares, shoes etc. Everything clothing item was clean and gently used ( a few kids games were worn but that is acceptable!) I scored so much for my $50! and 2 trips...
I will update when they have an upcoming sale of this size again. This was the first in a *hopefully* annual sale.

The Fox Library is not a place for quiet study time - go to the main library in Arlington Center if you want some peace. However, this small branch library is a GREAT space to browse for books (adult and children) with your family. Shop at the local thrift store - all proceeds support the library.
Okay, it's a public library, a branch, I get it. I wish I could love this place. It's literally one hop, one skip and one jump from my front door but the truth is, as far as I'm concerned, it's only good for picking up books I've put on hold. Each time I've been in this library there have been children running willy nilly about the library. SCREAMING children. What happened to silence in the library? Apparently they have story time for small children at various times during the week and some events for teens and some La Leche League meetings occasionally but none of these things are of interest to me. It's not a quiet place to study but it is a great place to pick up requests after school and for now, I'll be satisfied to head to Robbins where the screaming children are confined to their own room and silence, like the domed ceiling, is golden.
