Wonderful place to have your wedding. They really took care of us, and were honest in their dealings with the final invoice. I'm so happy with the whole thing, and my guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever eaten!
Finally got to play at this course and I liked it, but not as much as I was led to believe. Some of the reviews that I've read say that it's as good as Pebble? Uhh...no. The course is nice, don't get me wrong.
When we got there, we were greeted in the parking lot by the attendants and they brought our bags to the range. Nice.
Real grass range with comp balls. Nicer.
Friendly starter who told us the deal with the course. Fantastic!
The course itself is relatively difficult with the setup. Accuracy is a must on most holes. Water is in play on most and most have large sand traps guarding the green. The views coming down 16 and going thru 18 are great. I've watched the celeb tourney on TV and was anxious to get to #17. Short, treacherous, nerve-racking. My score on 17? Par! No Chris Weber for me.
Aside from not being Pebble-ish as I was expecting, the marshals came out to tell us that the group ahead of us was one hole ahead and for us to speed it up. We sped up and caught up to the group ahead of us, but when we asked the group behind us (also my buddies) if the group behind them was on their ass, they said no and that they were never pushed! WTF?
Although it's a nice good course, minus one star for the hype and gripe.
Worth $190 to play once, but probably won't come back again. I'll watch it on TV!
Great golf course that is well maintained. I have a problem paying over $200 a round though when you can play just as nice of golf courses for half the price. Edgewood is a name like Pebble Beach, doesn't mean it's a great course. The views are amazing, the golf is good, but the price is ridiculous. Rather play Glenbrook and not sell a kidney.
I go to Edgewood every year, not for the golf, but for the amazing views! I'm not sure what's up with the enormous stretch of private South Lake Tahoe beach that no one's utilizing, but me and the bf took a nice long walk and he decided to take a dip in the calming cool waters of Tahoe. No one came out to yell at us, so we figured it might be okay, but not too sure.
If you want a remote, never utilized beach, I'm sure you can take a walk, setting up a beach site would probably be uncool. Watch the lake from the seasonal, outdoor restaurant and lounge. At night, the bar is the action, and again, you have unobstructed views unless you are there for some type of banquet/wedding/function.

This is the "Pebble Beach" of Lake Tahoe. As good as it gets, but it comes at a price. Wide open fairways, challenging greens, spectacular views of the lake and Heavenly Valley. High roller golf paradise.

I don't golf, but I can tell you that this is a fantastic place for a wedding! The coordinators are so helpful, the venue is gorgeous, and the views spectacular. I have great memories of this place!
This is an incredibly magnificent course! It is right up against the south shore of Lake Tahoe and meanders through the incredible sugar pine forest that surrounds the area. With a slope of 139 and a rating of 72.6 from the blue tees (75.5/144 from the tips), this course is an amazing challenge. Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy is what you need for this course. Both sides of the fairways are usually lined with dense pine trees. Those without the forest usually have water and bunkers well in play. It is an absolutely beautiful course with many amazing views of the lake. The final three holes are incredible: As you walk up to your second shot on #16, you are greeted with a view of Lake Tahoe through towering pines as you head toward the green (which is guarded by sprawling bunkers). #17 is a par-3 right on the beach, and the approach into #18 is a beautiful and extremely challenging shot: The green is sandwiched between Lake Tahoe and the large lake that occupies the middle of the course. Fantastic course!
