I came into this apartment situation with zero expectations.

I needed a place that would take my dog. A large breed. A Dalmatian (which apparently sets off all sorts of red flags with complexes). I needed a place north. I needed washer dryer hookups. I needed a place that I could afford.

Other than that, I couldn't really care less.

I think we found the perfect place for me and the Dalmatian. I can walk out my door and there's a 5 acre field for the guy to run himself to death. (on a leash, of course) If we go around the path, we're on the Walnut Creek greenbelt. PERFECT. FOR. THE. DOG.

Also, individual results may vary, but I got all brand new appliances and counter tops installed before (literally hours before) I moved in.

Further, my apartment has this great line of huge trees immediately behind it. Insomnia, thy match has been met. If you can sit in a camp chair on the back porch and not be out like a light after 5 minutes, I'll give you your money back.

So far, the maintenance cre has been great. Somehow, I didn't have hot water in my kitchen sink. Fixed it up that day.

So far, I'm happier than I thought I would be. Namely because I didn't think I cared that much before.

Also, great for the canines (and the shedding): Pergo floors.
