After being stood up by the last hauling company, I found these guys also on Yelp. I was previously traumatized by my last experience with another company and I wasn't sure what to expect this time. Surprisingly, Chris responded to my email immediately and I followed up with several calls with Dorian. I sent them pictures of the work I needed done and they were quick to respond with an estimate.
Dorian himself came to my house with another guy, (sorry, I didn't get his name), and they were both very efficient and fun guys. All of the stuff hauled away was yard related and they came prepared with a chainsaw, and wheel barrel. I also bought a Yelp deal for a discount which totally helped so don't forget to look into that. Now my yard is prepped for some contract work I have coming up. Thanks guys! -

Really great service. Response to email was fast and professional. Quote was thorough. They took trash and donations, which was a real time saver. The guys called when they were on the way and showed up on time. Really efficient and fast. All in all a great service. Highly recommended!

This was the easiest transaction I've ever done. I called them late yesterday to find out about a pickup of construction debris. I got a call back first thing this morning. I missed the call, but before I could get around to calling them back, they called me again. Chris was very informative and very clear about their service and estimated pricing. I really wanted to get my garage cleared by the end of the weekend, so asked for their help. The truck was at my house within 30 minutes! They were extremely nice, professional and very fast. The pricing was great, and they gave me the Yelp discount as well. What I like about this company is that they recycle as much as possible and I was able to give them donation items as well as junk. The whole process was very efficient and saved me tons of time and money. I would highly recommend EcoHaul.

Really great experience with these guys. We had a lot of random junk to get rid of at our condo--with multiple stairs and limited garbage space, it was great to have these guys come in and help with hauling it all away.
Not only were they fast, friendly, reasonable and professional, they even swept up and organized the things they weren't able to take!
Don't forget to mention Yelp and you get a little bit of a discount...extra bonus!
I would call them again if i needed pieces hauled away. They also sort and take to goodwill but I ended up doing that on my own. -

The job: remove our janky hot tub and tear down and remove a retaining wall on its last legs. Also remove some miscellaneous construction debris.
A lot of great things to say:
- Personable, detailed and clear during the estimate
- Very diligent about providing the original estimate in writing (the only one of three to do so)
- Made a real effort (and ultimately succeeded) to remove the tub intact through a narrow door - better chance of reusing it
- Continued working late into the evening (see below) to get the job done as promised
- Cost ended up being at the low end of the estimate
- Rockin the AC/DC
One oddity, though: mid-way through taking down the wall, their saws' batteries ran low. So they left them charging, and split for a couple hours to make progress on a different job. No problem, but it was a little frustrating that they didn't ultimately make it back until evening, when the noise got to be a bit of a nuisance for the neighbors.
I would totally hire them again, especially for a straight-up haul. Definitely consider them as well for a deconstruction project - just be clear if you have any time constraints or concerns the day of the work. -

I really can't say enough good things about my experience with EcoHaul. We had to clear out an apartment last minute, and they were so helpful...really, we couldn't have done it without them. Not only did they show up on time (when I had called the morning of), but they were friendly, funny, and got the job done. They weren't just concerned with what was going with them, but helped us with fixes around the apartment including getting all of the water out of the water bed! On top of that, its' more eco-friendly than any other company!
I could go on for awhile. Use Ecohaul. -

These guys are rock stars! I have hired them many times--hauling away over 20 tones of debris from my backyard through a tiny San Francisco garage back door. These guys were amazing. They'd show up and shovel all the dirt or whatever it was into 5 gallon buckets and haul it out with a little production line- 20 tons at least.
Great at making appointments and very nice to boot. Of course for me the most important thing was the ecologically conscientious disposal of the debris.
I highly, highly recommend them. -

A couple of month ago, I had a window company to replace some windows for us. They were ok so I gave them 3 stars and wrote a review about them (not bad one at all!!) The very next day, the owner of the company somehow tracked me down and came to my house confronting me what I wrote was not accurate and he demand he deserves more stars(what's wrong with 3 stars?!). I was soooo scared!! I told him that that's simply how I felt about the service and I am entitled to my opinion too. He did not take it well and told me that their business is based on reviews and one negative review would hurt the company. I was super scared and wanted him to leave so I told him that I will give him 5stars!! After he left, I got so mad and scared at the same time. He can't intimidate someone like that! I still refused to give him5 stars but since he knows where I live, all I could do was to remove my review from yelp. Since that day, I got scared to write any reviews. Yet, we still need some help to get things done around the house. So this time, I let my husband to pick a company and deal with them. He had to take off from work for that too.

My husband seriously did a great job on finding EcoHoul.
I can't say anything negative about EcoHaul. They are true to their words(unlike other window company:p).
Four guys came over and removed all the bricks and concrete within an hour. Thanks to Yelp deals, they ofcourse gladly took promotion coupon and that saved us $50!! (unlike other window company, promotion they mentioned on yelp didn't work!)
I was so happy that we found such a decent company like them after what I had to go through!!
Most definitely I would recommand EcoHoul to our friends, family and neighbors because we can trust them!!
Thank you EcoHoul for serving us more and charging us less.
You guys are awesome and it is good to know that good people are still out there!!!! -

Two skinny guys with awesome attitudes and some real muscle power showed up and in about two heart beats lifted my 350lb treadmill up a steep flight of stairs and into my spare room. Three heart beats later they had cleared out my rubbish and laughed the whole time. It really doesn't get better than this. Cost was really reasonable and worth it for the fun of meeting these guys. Added bonus, an earlier job had flaked on them so they brought mine up from the afternoon to the morning. Really easy, pleasant, reliable and fun folk to deal with and I got a discount because I mentioned finding them on Yelp. Highly recommend them.

After a local non-profit refused to take my furniture for donation, I called EcoHaul. They were able to get me an appointment in 4 days and said that they would try and donate my furniture for me. They worked fast and professionally, and gave me a great price. I am planning to use them again for another move in the coming months, and I would highly recommend them. Thanks EcoHaul!

I would highly recommend EcoHaul for anyone remodeling their home.
In the process of trying to restore our home, we had to replace many areas of wooden siding, some exterior beams and do a lot of other work that left us with quite a front yard full of stuff. I really did not want to send all of these components that were partially re-useable to the landfill. It was so nice to call ecohaul and know that our rubbish and project scraps would be disposed of properly or reused.
The service was fantastic and the team who came to load were so nice. Pricing was very reasonable, particularly for the amount of work they did. I will definitely use them again. -

Ecohaul took away an old couch from my front yard for a very reasonable price of $140. My wife quit nagging me about it once the couch was removed. That alone would have given them 4 stars. But they called about an hour after I signed up online and called before they came by to confirm. Thumbs up for EcoHaul!

I wish I could give these guys more than 5 stars. They are amazing for hauling and rubbish removal.
They gave me an estimate on the phone, stuck to the estimate, did bonus work (took out a dead tree, then mauled the stump for easier decomposition) and took extra stuff (they were able to take some extra wood and still stay within the dimensions of the load) AND they dispose of the refuse in an environmentally responsible manner (for wood, it either turns into compost or into firewood.) Oh, and they were also the best price of the 3 haulers I contacted.
If you search these guys in San Francisco they are hard to find because their home base is in Petaluma. But they do serve San Francisco as well as the East Bay and if you find them, they are the folks you should use! -

I needed a couple of items of furniture removed, and they did a good job.
I called the main number and was given a range of days and time windows, and a reasonable price quote. On the scheduled day, they called ahead to give me a more precise time estimate within the window, and then called again when they were 10 minutes away. The stuff was removed with a minimum of fuss, I was told how it would be donated/recycled, and they were polite and courteous throughout. -

We all have too much stuff but little clue what to do with it. Luckily Ecohaul knows and makes sure it goes toward the best re-use possible.
They work in the north bay as well as east bay, SF and beyond so call if you are not sure about their specific coverage areas. -

Love, Love, LOVE these guys. Had the WORST time trying to get Salvation Army to come pick up some donations. In fact, we scheduled pick-ups with SA three times - they didn't show up for any of them. Finally called Eco-Haul because the stuff I wanted to donate was useful and ready to be repurposed - not put into landfill. They were very timely, courteous and efficient. It turns out a bunch of people in my former building decided to add their crap to my pile of donations, but Dorian from EcoHaul said it would be no problem to take that stuff as well.
No crying. No headaches. No injuring myself to move stuff. No assault on the senses or the planet with trips to the dump.
Very reasonably priced, and I am relieved that the stuff will be sorted out, reused and repurposed. I love the ethos of this company and their professionalism. I'm very glad to have given them my business. -

I love Ecohaul.
I have been calling them for a year or so now.
I have had them pick up everything from house-hold goods to construction debris.
You get charged to take things to the dump anyway....so I feel less guilty with Ecohaul, because I hope at least some of it gets reused. Plus, their prices are very reasonable.
I have never once had a cancellation by them and they are always on time. I have used them 6+ times and never a problem. -

I needed to get rid of a mattress and box spring, and without knowing exactly who to call, I looked to Yelp reviews for guidance. EcoHaul has some great feedback, and rightfully so: I gave them a call, got a quote far below their usual minimum price, and found out that one of their drivers, Chris, was already dispatched somewhere in my area and could drop by within minutes. No more than ten minutes later, the bed is gone, my bank account doesn't feel violated, and my mind is at ease.

We called these guys in a bind on the day of our move and they showed up in a couple of hours. They hauled away all of our garbage as well as our Goodwill stuff and the whole time they were upbeat and pleasant. They did an incredible amount of work in the short amount of time that we had reserved. They really went above and beyond all expectations. Great work, good people.

I'm a professional organizer and I love EcoHaul! I work with them every chance I get. I used to work with another big hauler but the truth is that the EcoHaul guys and gals are so darn pleasant that I feel much more comfortable inviting them into my clients' houses. I even schedule them to come when I'm not there because I'm completely confident that the EcoHaulers will interact professionally.
The best part though is that my clients have a much easier time getting rid of things when they know they're going to a good place. With EcoHaul, I know that's true. They donate everything they can, recycle the rest and only take stuff to the dump when they have absolutely no other alternative. Plus, they come and get whatever you want to give away from wherever it is in your house. That means that you don't have to collect and lug the stuff down to one pick up spot. Just point them in the direction and they'll climb the stairs. (They once had to go up and down 92 stairs to a client's attic for me and they barely broke a sweat!)
Their website makes it extra easy to schedule your pickup. I'm a big fan. -

The dust is just now settling after EcoHaul came and picked up the rest of my stuff. I'm sitting on a makeshift box writing this as all my chairs were taken away! Chris and Sam, their disposal experts were promptly here a
little after one today, went over the things I was getting rid of and estimated the cost for hauling it away (3.75 cubic yds cost me $235), reasonable as they are able to recycle up to 85% of the things people get rid of. They donate furniture and clothes to charities too.
In roughly 35 minutes they had all my stuff in their truck (wow! forgot to ask if it ran on vegetable oil!) and had me settle the bill. Cool thing, if you mention Yelp, you get a $20 discount!. They take cash, credit cards or check and I would use them again in a second. The owner is Chris Sparks (no relation to me) and they have been doing this for five years now. They have a fleet of three trucks and five guys who go around the Bay Area helping folks like me make the moving transition easier. Great work EcoHaul!! -

We just downsized from a house that we lived in for 10 years. There was a lot of stuff that we needed to get rid of and Eco-Haul came through big time. Scheduling was easy (they came on a Saturday!), they were communicative, friendly, professional and got the job done rather quickly. One of the pieces we needed to move ended up having a rats nest tucked in one of the folds of the tarp (sorry guys!). The Eco-Haul guys shook out the tarp (no rats, thank goodness), laughed about it, and continued to load up their 15 cubic yard truck with our stuff.
This does have me being much more mindful about consumption. At the same time, this is the best way to dispose/recycle/donateof those items that we inevitably accumulate.
Also, by the way, I have used a competitor and much prefer Eco-Haul. -

EcoHaul offered an astoundingly customer-focused and reasonably-prices service from start to finish. Friendly and efficient office staff, just the right amount of communication, including a call 20 minutes before they were to arrive. Dorian and Colin were professional, willing to adjust to last-minute changes, including disconnecting a hard-pipe connection to the range they picked up and adding two more items to their load by adjusting already almost-full truck. The BEST - we will definitely use them in the future.

I had two couches, left over kitchen drawers and junk on both sides of my house. It was not a pretty site. I called EcoHaul and they gave me an estimate, scheduled an appointment and sent the kindest guys to come out to do the hauling (Chris and Sam). I seriously under estimated just how much junk I had so the price went up a little but didn't break the bank! They did an excellent job and very quickly considering how much stuff I had. Such an easy experience!
I'm moving out of the country and decided to get rid of most of my furniture rather than move it. Experiencing epic failure trying to donate to Salvation Army, I decided it was worth paying for removal than deal with more headaches. I chose these guys based on positive yelp reviews, and am so happy with my decision!
On the phone they were super helpful, explained their pricing to me in detail and patiently answered all of my questions. I generally hate using services with discretionary pricing (they base prices based on how much stuff you have to move), but they were very clear about how it would work over the phone, which put me at ease. They will give you a quote on the phone, and then re-evaluate on the day of. I actually ended up paying LESS than what was quoted on the phone.
The guys they sent were extremely PROFESSIONAL. Had some last minute stress dealing with my building's management, but they were very flexible and kept their cool (even if I did not). Everything was gone in about 30 mins. Incredible! -

We all wish we had time to dispose of our junk in an earth-friendly manner, but once you realize you will have to spend days (if not weeks) finding and visiting a dozen recycling facilities for your varied crap (crumbling cardboard, those lovely polyester sheets from 1988, particle board furniture, garden debris, ancient computers, evil mattresses, broken lawnmower) you will be overjoyed to have Eco-Haul take it all. They were on time, neat, and fast. My only regret is that I forgot to put the 1982 stereo (jacks? we need no jacks!) in the heap.

I used this company to haul some construction junk out of my yard and couldn't have been happier with their service. They were open late to schedule and really nice when I had to reschedule. They were helpful in estimating size to arrive at an approximate cost. (how many washing machines) They called to say when they were on their way, arrived on time and did the pickup thouroughly and neatly. Thanks Rich and Caleb! After seeing the unanimous 5 Star reviews, I feel almost weird adding another one, but these guys are just the best. They were flexible, changing their arrival to suit my needs hours before they were supposed to come, efficient/fast, honest (the pricing requires their assessment of how full the truck is, and they seem to round in your favor), left the place clean, and they're nice! At first it seems expensive, but it ends up being the best money you'll spend. LOVE Eco Haul.
