1. One that deviates markedly from an established norm, especially a person of odd or unconventional behavior.

This is what one would call the standard definition of the word eccentric. It was certainly the definition I was going with when we walked into this store on Saturday, but after taking one look at their stock, it was anything but eccentric. Talk about total run of the mill, bad Forever 21 looking clothes of fashion faux pa's past and...velour track suits?

I'm sorry, but didn't the velour track suit memo go out about 4 years ago after Juicy made their killing and then knockoffs galore jumped on that trend and ran it into the ground? I thought it did, but perhaps I was wrong.

Reality is this, Los Feliz has a ton of cute boutiques popping up. They all have character, style and trendsetting fashions. This store has a cool sign and an employee that won't even stand up and get her lazy butt off the couch when two customers come in. Clearly that type of "odd or unconventional behavior" and overall un-enthusiastic salesmanship is what makes this place "Eccentric."

My advice, blow this place off and head straight to the little boutique instead! Eccentric. Pshaw!
