This little shop in the Cherry Orchard is all a geek could ask for.
Example: I bought a NERF controller for my PS2. Watch in convulsive laughter as Apollo, fed up at getting killed repeatedly by the same German sniper in Medal of Honor, flings the orange Nerf across the room.
Example 2: They have movies for cheap. Fuckloads of DVDs that can clutter your house, too!
Example 3: Remember those shitty games that came with your console? They'll buy them here. Not for, you know, a lot, but still. I'll take $4 to make more room on my shelf in hopes that some retarded kid will really love Spy Fiction or Red Ninja. -

You want to buy your games here b/c there's this guy that works there that looks and sounds like Lawrence Fishburne, lol.
Actually, all kidding aside, that guy's really professional...I'm not sure if he's there anymore.
Aside from the fact that EB in general, has screwed me over for freebies on two occasions now (thankfully, said freebies can be procured through other means other than "official" channels), they're actually very timely and dependable. One of the few places other than Fry's where they get their new releases the day after games ship (usually Target and other retailers can take a couple days to a week before titles arrive on the shelves), a must for those out there who absolutely can't wait for the Next Big Thing.
Be forewarned though. Park at Peet's coffee down the street and walk over the this EB. The parking in the Cherry Orchard shopping complex is one of the worst in the South Bay. -

I have had some bad experiences with this EB Games. First of all, the store has a terrible return policy. The game must be in its original packaging, and can only be returned within 14 days (rather than the standard 30 days). I ordered (and put a deposit down for) Grand Theft Auto 4. When I arrived to pick it up, on the day it was released, they had already sold my reserved copy. I gave the store another chance, pre-ordering the Wii Fit. I never received a phone call or email to let me know it had arrived. When I went to check three days after the release, they had already sold out. I asked why I had not received any sort of notification, and was told that the automated system doesn't always work as it should. The employee gave me my deposit back, but I have still not been able to get a Wii Fit, even though I pre-ordered. Very disappointing.

When we wanted SSX3 for the Playstation 2 the day it came out, this is where we went. The service is great, but shopping online is cheaper. Parking can be difficult.

Not being a heavy "gamer", I don't have a lot of stores to compare this one to. But--I bought a couple of Gameboy games here, and I appreciated the good stock and clean, well-organized store. When one of the games was too "young" for my daughter, I was able to return it for cash, no problem. I will return for more games! And yes, as Rachel says, the parking can be a challenge.
