so very very sad that the sunset location is closed. What does Harborance of Cockroaches mean, anyway?

"CLOSED FOR INFESTATION AND HARBORANCE OF COCKROACHES" according to the sign.
Does "harborance" mean they were also smuggling them into or out of the country?
Boo-urns.

i really like this spot.

i love the breakfasts and i love the veggie burger :)
this is just a chill, low key spot for a lazy breakfast or lunch...
the waitresses are super chill and it's a totally mellow spot.

I agree I probably wouldn't want to deal with the parking here if I didn't crash at my friend's who lives nearby. But after trying to recover from a night of heavy drinking, Eat Well is the perfect healthy complement for my healing liver. Having said that, I get the chicken fried steak anyway, but I have faith that they somehow make it healthier for me here.
I stopped going to this Eat Well location because of the crowds, and although the food is "good", it isn't fantastic and certainly not worth the wait. Plus, parking sucks.
I do like their Cajun Chicken Melt sandwich, but when I crave it I go the Eat Well in Glendale - much less crowded (usually).

Fresh ingredients and generous portions are the key here, and when the two come together and arrive at your table via a friendly, attentive server, the results are sure to please. Yay recommended.
Eat Well is the correct answer to the question, "Where do you want to have breakfast today, Greg?"
There is sometimes a bit of a wait to be seated, and the clientele is distinctly Silverlakey, but there is a broad array of choices on the menu, and nothing I have tasted here is disappointing. The chorizo and egg platter is a particular favorite, as it has more chorizo and less egg than analogous dishes at other establishments. The poached egg and smoked bacon breakfast really hits the spot as well (I have a weak spot for good bacon). The biscuits and gravy are slightly more bland than I would prefer, but still make a decent addition to a meal, especially if you are sharing with others. The coffee is good, if you can attract the attention of the guy who's pouring it.
Please don't come to Eat Well on a weekend - the line is already long enough as it is.

Walked in near noon on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The appropriately dressed (for the neighborhood) staff are friendly and pretty attentive, save the one who's manning the coffee pot refilling peoples' empty mugs. The menu has a perfect variety on its double sided laminated card, which included KOOL-AID as one of their beverages. So I'm not going to shell out $2.50 for a glass of the drink when I can pay the same price to get a cannister to make 1,000 servings, but I like their style.
The overall space is fairly large and looks pretty busy. Even so, food and service is quick, though the check is quick to getting to you too, but oh well, the place is bumpin' and you can't blame them for having good food.
The place is veggie friendly, and my veggie breakfast burrito is satisfying. The winner, however, is their chorizo and egg dish, which comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas, Spanish rice, and BLACK (YAY!) beans along with the perfect blend of a generous portion chorizo and egg. Their biscuits and gravy are decent; its saving grace is the biscuit itself, for the gravy is a little on the thin and not-so-rich side.
Parking aside, I am sure to come here again, especially since I have a few homies living around the corner from the place.

Who cares about roaches?! This place was the shiiiiiiiiit brah!
It's a nice, comfy place to hang out at on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Great breakfast items/selections - I actually don't feel as guilty after eating compare to when I eat breakfast at Denny's or IHOP. Dishes were simple and reasonably priced.
And yes, parking sucks.
I can sum this place up in two words: seasoning salt. That's right I reviewed it in two words. A guilty pleasure at best.
Why in the world did I HAVE to finish everything on my plate this morning? We had to take a walk down Sunset to the Farmer's Market and back just so everything starts to settle in my belly. Maybe because the hash browns well done was scrumptious and the omelette and bacon I had was so delish.
I've only been at this location a few times and everytime I've come, I was satisfied. In my opinion, one can't really f*&^ up eggs unless they're a complete idiot and if they are, they have NO business cooking at a restaurant. So if you're looking for a pretty "classic" breakfast, Eat Well in Silverlake is the place to go. But be careful what time you do go. Sometimes they can be super swamped and you probably won't have as pleasant an experience.
Mmmmm bacon...
I can't help but eat healthy here...just look at the name!
When I'm in the mood for some healthy or vegetarian grub, I always think of Eat Well. It's a shame I don't go to school around the area anymore. They have one of the best Veggie Burgers here! Not a health or veggie freak? It's okay; Eat Well has something for everyone. You can easily increase your daily caloric intake here as well. Try one of their burgers or the breakfast burrito.
Sit outside to enjoy the people watching or if you're bringing along your dog. Either way, soak up the artsy vibe whether you sit indoor or outdoor.

They blew it for me.
I mean I know a lot of people love Eat Well... So I don't mean to be the one guy with a poor rating but in all honesty we sat down to a really dirty table, waited forever just for water and the waiter was a total dick.
You know, like they are so busy that he doesn't need to try since someone else will sit at his table if we don't.
So we didn't. We got up and asked the host to kindly cancel our order since our waiter was nowhere to be found. I'm sure he didn't even miss us anyway.

Soon, I will have conquered all breakfast eateries in Silver Lake.
Eat Well on Sunset was my most recent conquest and they panned out alright. It was a chilly Sunday afternoon, which may have contributed to the fact that it wasn't packed to the gills, and we easily snagged a table outside. Better for people watching I say. It did take a little while for someone to come over to take our drink orders but after that he was on us like bees on honey.
Coffee was average, Arnold Palmer was good.
Eggs Florentine was ehh but I think my eyes were craving something that my belly wasn't. Let's just say I've had better hollandaise.
Biscuits and gravy also left something to be desired...I was hoping for pieces of sausage in the mix, but it was still good.
Tyler was thrilled with his corn beef hash.
I left partially satisfied, although I think I may have been a picky eater that morning. Tyler left very pleased.
Need to go again to get an opinion when I'm not so picky.

Mmm...Eat Well Breakfast.
Whenever friends are in town, I always take them to Eat Well for breakfast. The food is vegetarian friendly, but good enough to fit the needs of my carnivorous boyfriend (this is a man who woud eat fried chicken for breakfast).
Staff is laid back and always friendly. Plus, lots to do in Silverlake afterwards.

Solid 3.5
Quick service, good coffee, great turkey sausage, yummy blueberry pancakes.
It doesn't really "stand out," but is definitely a solid breakfast bet. Mike and I are still continuing our search for the perfect breakfast spot in Echo Park/Silver Lake. Will report back!

Went here for lunch. I had a PoBoy sandwich. It was grilled and not fried fish which impressed me. Everything was made to order so it was super fresh when we ate. The staff was very accomodating as well.

This is hangover food. Greasy, hearty, potato or egg-centric brunch options. I say Brunch because Eat Well closes promptly at 3:00 pm. There is no dinner to be found here. What makes this establishment great is its abundance of tasty veggie friendly options...
Which leads me to my story (and why the restaurant only got 3 stars despite being affordable and serving delicious food)
I ordered 'Soyrizo and Eggs' while the boyfriend ordered 'Chorizo and Eggs.' Punchline is, waiter was really not paying attention to us at all, (busy flirting with table adjacent) plates got swapped and i ate a big heaping mouthful of Chorizo and totally realized it. I lost my appetite and felt really gross for the remainder of the day.
I feel that if you cater to vegetarians/ vegans - you should pay attention to the food you serve and remember which garnish stands for what.
Eat well would be much more appropriately titled if it was called "eat decently, watch some crazy sidewalk folk." I mean, the food is okay, but the real fun comes from their outdoor seating. You can see all the beautiful, dog loving, and crazy people of Silverlake in the time it takes you to eat your breakfast! And I love that it's next door to Pull My Daisy so you can hang out with Bingo and feel like one of the cool kids... which is really why we all go there after all, isn't it?

It's no Zachary's. But the Mess has bits of sausage links in it which make it 'le delish.'
minus one star because they don't use organic eggs...
There is better food out there for breakfast, but when ever you can watch a little parade going on across the street at rough trade at one in the afternoon on a Sunday battling a hangover, count me in!

Eat Well, well said. I was here a few days ago, First time I ventured into this neighborhood. Silver Lake has its vibe of old store front with redesigned shops inside. At any rate this spot is centrally located between a few good stores. I went in for some breakfast on a sunny LA day, got the country fried chicken, in a few words: hungry man portions, fast, Good, worth a visit when your in the hood. Nuff said, you wont be disappointed.
I *heart* this fine establishment!
Sometimes I find myself feening for their tofu scamble . . . . yum!
I know, I'm obssesed, so what . . . at least I know what I like!
Great service and good food at an affordable price. You can ususaly
find me here having (what I call a "tofu" sensation) on the weekends,
while chuming it up with my pals.
Enjoy!

Eat Well's always a good bet for breakfast in the Los Feliz/Silverlake area. In fact, after Fred's, it may be the best thing going.
It usually pretty crowded on the weekends, but the place is big enough that they manage to get you seated in under 10 minutes on virtually all occasions.
Haven't actually tried the lunch/dinner menu -- so maybe that isn't up to par. But like I said, Eat Well knows them some brekkie.

Good vibe, good food and generous portions. It is a plus that it is in my favorite L.A. neigborhood.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast portions were large and nicely prepared. I liked this place. I know I should mention a specific dish, but I had a pretty standard breakfast. Oh! Their biscuits and gravy were great, which is always kind of a marker for me on the scale of breakfast-rating.

Love this, though I get the same thing every time. There was also a price difference between the different locations, which turned me off and made me feel weird. Otherwise, a good a simple consistent choice for brunch - wouldn't recommend for any other meal.

It's not often that I'm in this area at breakfast time. It's actually the very first time. Having not eaten dinner the night before I was super hungry! Parking was a breeze on the street. We sat inside because face it, it's cold outside! The place was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated. The hot chocolate was superb! I opted not to try the spice cake stuff they brought out. I was way too into my hot coco with whipped cream. YUMMY! I had the vege omelet w/ chedder cheese, home fries and english muffin. The portions are big! The omelet was the best I've had in LA. The service was quick and pleasant. My leftovers were even good the next morning which is rare for eggs. Just another great place in Silverlake!

You actually feel like you're in a diner. But ... you're not. You're in hipster Silverlake being served by a girl with a mohawk. It's funny.
The food is as good as a good diner. And the service is about the same. I do recommend it. I eat here all the time. It's just "nothing fancy". Do expect to feel less cool than the staff and do expect loud eclectic music playing in the background.
I will continue to patronize Eat Well for it's convenient location on consistent good breakfast. I did venture there once later in the day and ordered a hamburger...the best I can say was it was good (nothing special). The busy atmosphere, bench seating, and those damn hipsters make for some good conversation and a lively energy.

Eat Well is one of my favorite breakfast places! You can sit outside, the food is solid and the staff does you right when they know for sure you are having a rough morning. You must try the chorizo & eggs...yum!
Now it appears to be LA's equivalent of The Pork Store on 16th, hungover hipster central.

Nice atmosphere, really friendly staff, good portions... exceedingly AVERAGE food.
Honestly, why is this place so busy when Millie's and Town and Country are so close by?
That said, the tuna melt on rhye (with fruit - the fries kinda suck) is pretty hard to beat.
when i used to live downtown this was just up the street so this was always our hangover spot...
bfast and brunch wait kinda sucks - the wait isn't too long, staff is really friendly and super attentive (i had my coffee refilled like 4 times once, without ever asking!)
this doesn't feel like Toast or Doughboys where ppl are ppl-watching rather than actually eating and hanging w/their bfast mates. its got a cute neighborhood vibe, although oddly ive seen a lot of tourists here, you know, white tennis shoes, fanny pack, etc. go figure.
alternative eats for veggie-sauruses are plentiful here. i wouldn't say the food is super, but its good, hearty, and its a nice diner atmosphere.
after ur done eating, grab some tea at casbah next door :)

I hate to give a local neighborhood biz a bad rating, but after seeing the C rating on the window, I just had to. I always thought my husband was crazy but the two times we've gone there, he's always gotten sick from the food. The service is pretty good, but it always feels a little dingy to me. I'm giving it 3 stars because I think there's a nice, big menu with lots of variety, even if you're a veggie.
Pretty good food, sometimes it is just too crowded but for the most part I like it. Worth a try!
