Great go-to place for greasy take-out. It's certainly not a healthy place but it fully satisfies that craving.
Perhaps one of its best qualities is its ability to cater to vegans and omnivores alike - and they know how! The seitan steak bomb is wonderfully seasoned - extremely similar to a cheesesteak without making you feel like you're actually eating meat (good for the queasy vegetarian). They also carry vegan cheese, but be sure to mention that you would like a vegan meal when you order because their sandwiches come with dairy cheese by default. Many of their options are vegan (like tofu tender sauces) without mention so don't hesitate to ask.
Grover, the owner, is a pleasant and accommodating guy - I love supporting him and will certainly continue to be a regular customer. -

Twice, I've eaten at Jumbo's and twice I've required a nap immediately upon finishing my food.
The first time, I ordered a steak bomb to go. While waiting on the bench outside for the bus, I couldn't help myself; I tore into that sandwich the way zombies tear into brains. After a few embarrassingly messy bites, I could have sworn I noticed traffic slowing down to marvel in horror at my etiquette, so I put the sandwich back in its wrapper and finished at home where I could hose myself off.
It was loaded with (at least, what appeared to be) fresh shaved steak and a ton of all the fixins.
The second time (about an hour ago) I ordered some teradactyl tenders and an Italian. Teradactyl is my FAVORITE and Jumbo's did the flavor combo justice. The chicken was battered to perfection and smothered in sauce that wasn't runny and really clung to the meat. The Italian was pretty standard but absolutely stuffed and did the trick for my hangover. I ordered via Foodler and my order came promptly and correctly while the tenders were still steaming.
My ONLY gripes:
-The cheese on the steak bomb was a liiiiiiitttttle too runny, but that's a personal preference.
-If it were my shop, I'd probably opt for a sturdier sandwich bread. It seems to me that a lot of the sandwiches, if not all of them, come fully loaded and the bread doesn't really hold up under all of that gooey goodness, especially not when being delivered.
As for those of you that are complaining about only receiving 2 sticks of celery with your wings, I have to quote Alton Brown: "When I want to get my wing on, I don't want to stop for a salad."
Some people will complain about ANYTHING!
Time for my nap. As for you, try eating at Jumbo's. -

First time here, so I was only able to try one item, but the seitan cheese steak bomb is very good. The pieces of seitan have good flavor, and the cuts are small and reminiscent of a 'traditional' cheese steak. Comes with green peppers, onions & mushrooms. And Daiya vegan cheese rounds out the sub. With a pickle and a mini bag of cape cod chips on the side it's one sandwich any hungry vegan should love! Can't wait to come back and try their other vegan options as they seem to be adding more and more as time goes by. Great to see a place that cares enough to invest in the vegan community and experiment with new vegan recipes!
2'nd visit: tried the garlic knots [vegan] and a calzone that were both very good. I've also since tried their tofu tenders that are actually a little more reminiscent of mozzarella sticks to me than chicken minus the gooeyness. get the dipping sauce on the side to keep the breading on the tenders crispy to the last bite. -

Worst. Take out. Ever. It was about a week ago, and the first time calling. It took an hour to arrive, and they're 1 mile away. The pizza was only slightly warm. Cardboard with melted cheese and basil on top. The buffalo tenders were inedible, I had to toss them, no loss. We ate the garlic knots which were pretty greasy, but only because we threw out everything - along with the menu. Won't be giving them another try.

This is one of the best places for food hands down! I don't remember when they opened, but I can't imagine them no longer being around! It's a rarity to go to any eating establishment that does everything on their menu right, but these guys are darn close. I've had everything from their wheat dough pizza's, subs, salads and especially their wings and they all kick ass.
I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Lawd have mercy! This place is absolutely incredible. They have a wide variety of foods for people with all sorts of tastes and dietary restrictions. I have been off dairy for some time now, but broke down and ordered a cheese calzone after a particularly looooooooooooong day at work. I specified that I wanted an insane amount of basil, and was shocked that they actually stuffed that calzone silly with the stuff. So much so, that when the delivery guy showed up at my door, I could smell the basil before he even opened up the bag.
According to their site, they pay their workers fair wages, which is important to me. I'm happy to support a small, local business that serves great grub *and* treats their employees right. -

Phenomenal service and delicious food. Delivery is always on time and friendly. Great wings and tenders with varying sauces, and a whole wheat dough option for pizza and calzones offers a little comfort for the health-conscious. You can customize your toppings to make them a little healthier, but some of the most delicious items are not cholesterol-friendly (fried dough, garlic knots, mac n cheese!) They do have tofu tenders and salads, but I haven't tried those yet.

Two words: VEGAN PIZZA.
Yes, my dear vegan friends, Jumbo's makes vegan pizza!
Had a whole wheat calzone with diaya cheese, broccoli, and seitan.
And it was delicious. And vegan. And nearby....
So thank you Jumbos, I will be ordering my pizza from you more often!

What did I ask for when I called? Delivery. The guy was wicked nice!
What foods? Buffalo Chicken pizza, and garlic knots.
What did I like the best? The pizza dough, no, the pizza, dough, pizza overall was BOMB!
What made me sad inside? They took about an hour and twenty minutes to deliver. Slow delivery makes me a crazy person.
What will I do next time? Order for pick up and not be such a slouch. They are right in Ball Square. So easy to get to! So close to my home.Listed in: pizza... pizza, Take Away or Delivery?

My roommate recently went vegan, which you wouldn't expect to be much of a speed bump in a square so full of hemp sandals, skinny jeans and black rimmed glasses, but alas... In any case, Jumbo's offers a selection wide enough to satisfy my chemical addiction to cheese and her insistence on avoiding animal by-products.
The tofu tenders are a must try for those with a meat aversion or if someone is dabbling in the vegan arts. They have a vast array of sauce choices: salty, spicy, sweet, and unexpected. The medium buffalo sauce is your standard wing sauce and a good standard with which to judge their heat range. I also recommend the poutine fries. By no means are they authentic (I'm pretty sure that's cubed mozzarella, not cheese curd), but they are indulgent.
Decent burgers and sandwiches, don't bother with the pasta salad... the fries are more Burger King than McDonalds, but have always arrived hot and crispy. Phantom Gourmet has raved about their garlic knots, but I've yet to take a gander.
I've ordered via Foodler (which offers discounts) on a handful of occassions and my order was only delivered incorrectly one time. I called the restaurant and the man on the phone sounded apologetic (albeit, not shocked) and the missing link was delivered within the next 20 minutes. Not a shining beacon for jet-setting foodies, but a reliable stand-by for the rest of us :) -

Several months later, I've continued to order with this company and I've experienced ups and down in their delivery service. Today there was a mix up with the order I placed (I ordered through MixMenu) and I never received it. The owner called me to apologize personally for the mix up and the other times their food came to me in not-the-most-pristine state. I was very impressed by the level of service and how much this restaurant cares about their customers. Honestly, I respect a restaurant that respects its customers, and with the way this situation was handled by the owner, I am happy to say I will continue ordering with what is still one of my favorite restaurants in the area :D

I am a picky pizza person. I have been severely disappointed, since I got to this area, with most places I have tried.
We ordered through Foodler last night and I was very happy. The pizza was a bit smaller than I had expected, for the price, but it was delicious.
We ordered the cheesequake, garlic knots, and mozz sticks. All were gone quickly and all were tasty.
I will order again and probably double my garlic knot order... -

Ever since I went pesco back in August (pescatarian) my love for this place has been revitalized. They have a phenominal amount of vegetarian choices including tofu tenders that can be smothered in a HUGE variety of delicious sauces.
They also recently added a Seitan Bomb Sandwich to their already wonderfully excessive list of sandwiches. I recommend this place to meat-eaters, vegetrarians, pescos, and vegans! They've got something for everyone and i'm a big fan!
i've also been continuously impressed by their friendly staff!1 Previous Review: Show all »

After scouring the area for a restaurant that delivers, is open on Sunday, AND accepts Jumbo Cash, my friends and I decided upon Eat At Jumbo's for our Sunday night meal a couple of weeks back. Upon receiving our food, I could tell as we ate that we all immediately regretted that decision.
When ordering, my friend had a little trouble with the person taking the order as it didn't seem like he knew what to do. The delivery took a reasonable amount of time, but the food was just awful. I ordered a baby bomb which is described as "Shaved steak or chicken with cheese" on the menu. What I got was a sloppy, leaky, saucy mess. All of our sandwiches were leaky and sloppy. The sub had this spicy sauce all over it and there was no way around it. Therefore, I couldn't enjoy it. I could tell my friend didn't enjoy hers either. When I first tried the sub, I was relieved that I at least had my fries to enjoy. However, I couldn't even enjoy those! They were so soggy and cold. I even stumbled across some that weren't even fully cooked and when I bit into one, I got a mouth full of what I'm assuming is the oil that they are cooked in. To be blunt, it tasted like a dirty foot.
In short, I wouldn't order from there again unless it was an absolute last resort effort. Absolute last resort. -

Jumbo's is all about what you order. I've had awesome meals and I've had some lackluster ones. All in all I'm very happy with the place though. So far every kind of tofu tender I've ordered has been amazing, the cajun seasoned kind being the absolute best. The buffalo bomb and Seitan bomb are amazing as well. In fact I'd recommend the seitan bomb to anyone regardless of their dietary choices its just so dang good.
Mac and cheese is okay, good in terms of delivery mac and cheese. Cole slaw is awesome, super crunchy and flavorful. Subbing tofu for chicken is a delicious alternative as well as getting things made as wraps instead of on a roll. You're not going to compromise the amount of food you're getting by changing to a wrap, they're freaking huge!
My least favorite thing has been the veggie sub, its just a bunch of veggies in a roll which I dont have a problem with. But the pickles they use on the sandwich arent that good and the cut of the veggies just make it a weird meal. If you're in a veggie mood go for the huge and cheap greek salad instead.
Oh yeah then there are the pizzas as well, no complaints here, bbq chicken is awesome.

Ive ordered here a few times now. Hawaiian pizza, garlic knots, little italy sub, grilled buffalo chicken sub. All have been good with the the pizza being the least best.
I'll continue to order from here beacause food is good, prices are decent, and they never screw up an order, but probably go elsewhere if I want a pizza. Nothing special about the dough, sauce, or toppings, and the cheese seems to take over the pizza. -

I am eating THE CHEESEQUAKE right now.
This is the best "cheeselovers" pizza I've ever had; Real, fresh, balled, mozzarella. Unfortunately rare.
I ordered it with peperoni on one half; I got half Cheesequake / half Peperoni. Not the end of the world.
Solution? Maybe for the better? I flipped it. Flipped the pizza. Calzoned it. Lemons into lemonade; Pizza into calzone.
Am I happy?
VERY.

I have tried three items, all sandwiches, from Eat at Jumbo's, and all have been great. The Buffalo Bomb, Da Parms, and especially the Chicken Barbecue (great sauce) sandwiches are all worth trying. It's a local spot with a local feel, and fits in well in Ball Square.

So, Halloween evening, a pizza from Jumbo's was ordered. Let me start by staying I've eaten there a handful of times and NEVER had a problem. The food is usually delicious and prompt. Unfortunately, Halloween was not one of those times. A large pizza was ordered to feed 4 people. An hour after the order was placed on the internet, no pizza had been delivered. I called Jumbo's to see what the hold up was and found out they never received my order because their internet went down for a brief moment. Totally understandable, nobody's fault. They apologized profusely and said a pizza on the house was on the way. Buzzzzzz- I hurry to the door about 2 hours after the original pizza was ordered to see a man standing there with 1 box the size of a personal pizza. The driver apologized again and went back to see what happened. About a half hour after that our pizza arrived, no receipt to sign, proper size, right toppings... sadly quite soggy. We ate it and had a laugh. I have since taken a break from Jumbo's due to this freak accident but will give it a try again soon at which point I may remove this review based on the outcome. Needless to say.... s*** happens.... it just needed a bit of exposure.... I mean I still gave them 4 stars.

Being in the neighborhood, I truly wish I could rate this restaurant higher, but its inconsistent and generally underwhelming offerings speak for themselves. After numerous visits, I see little reason to return again. Reading the about page found on their website made my rating just a bit harder to publish, but I can't let a mission statement taint my personal experience.
The paninis are generally a safe option, including the Beefini and the Chicken & Provolone, though I've found the sandwiches to be particularly disappointing. The Ball Square Bomb, a steak and cheese sandwich, tasted good but ultimately didn't agree with me at all; as the last item I ordered from this establishment, it reinforced this restaurant's mediocrity. Ball Square, where Eat at Jumbo's is located, and nearby Magoun Square both provide better alternatives for dining in. -

I hate it when I order food then before I've even taken a bite have a sinking feeling. Sigh. I try Jumbos, I really do. You're so close to me, offer free foodler delivery of burgers and so I came back.
I wish I hadn't
Friday night delivery is always a little dicey so I didn't blink an eye when it took an hour instead of the half, I've worked delivery, I get it. That said it doesn't excuse my order (a burger and poutine) showing up at my door stone cold. Not lukewarm. Not tepid. Downright cold. No worries right? Just pop it in the oven and it will be just fine! Cut the burger in half to cook it faster without drying it out and my medium rare burger was already medium well, so there went that idea. Poutine upon opening was also already burned. Double Sigh.
I'm done. You and I can't make this work, and this time, its you, not me. -

This place used to be our favorite go-to takeout joint. Good food, fast reliable service. My husband and I ordered from here at least once a week (their burgers got me through a pregnancy). Something has changed, though. Over the past three months the service has plummeted. They are routinely 20-60 minutes late on everything. Predictably, the food arrives dry and almost inedible. I'm sorry, but there is no way it takes 60 minutes to make and deliver a burger and fries to an address less than half a mile away. Same with simple pizzas. Tonight we gave them one last shot. We ordered a pizza more than an hour ago and it's still not here. We're done--never ordering from Jumbo's again.

It's hard to find cheap delivery pizza that's vegetarian-friendly, much less vegan. Granted, you can order pizza with vegetarian toppings anywhere, but where else can you also order veggie burgers, "tofu tenders" (think something between buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks), and fried green beans in lieu of French fries?
What I love about Eat at Jumbo's is their willingness to experiment and branch out with health-conscious offerings that could still make a normal kid smile. You get the feeling that the folks who run this place really want to bring something special to the Cambridge area, and they're constantly working to improve things.
Is the food amazing? Not really. But it's a great value, and it can be an adventure. I recommend the "Vegged Out" pizza and the tofu tenders with "teradactyl" sauce (a mixture of teriyaki and BBQ). Order delivery through Foodler. -

Dear Eat at Jumbos,
I like you. I've ordered takeout/ delivery more than my fair share of times. And every time its quite delicious, but also pretty darn expensive. I dont really think it costs 11 dollars for that burger and fries combo. I suspect that there's a little gouging of my pocketbook happening...but youre good, and close by. And never disappoint. So thanks for that.
But maybe you could consider a little loyalty program or something for us burger starved somervillians who want to support you without breaking out beef-burger-bank?
I vote for a 10 dollar combo that includes a drink? Thoughts?
xoxo,

I review as I finish a mediocre burger. I was hungry and was not going to waste my $11. With that said, I ordered for take out the burger with BBQ (spicy BBQ) and bacon medium, with lettuce, tomato, jalapenos and avocado. I added potato salad on the side.
1. There was probably at most a quarter sized amount of bbq sauce
2. Jalapenos were not cooked
3. The avocado wasn't ripe
I didn't get my potato salad, the driver had to come back to deliver it.
I tried calling Jumbos but no one picked up after I called about 6 times.
The burger was warm and the buns cold and wet from the burger juice. I don't know how long it was sitting in the container. All in all if I had a car and had more money I would of gone there myself. Don't think I could order from there again. -

I've read about and heard about this place quite a few times so I finally decided to give it a try...delivery on a Saturday night.
I ordered Poutine, Spicy Jamaican Jerk wings and Cinnamon Bites or whatever they are called.
Service
- the food was very hot. Granted, I live quite close but even living close isn't a guarantee for hot food when it comes to delivery
- FREE delivery :-)
Poutine
I am not expert on this Canadian dish but I've had it a few times so I did have a point of reference. It was definitely not the best i've ever had. My main issue was with the standard issue "crunchy" type fries. They weren't potato-y enough and the over-friend, greasy, fast-food taste couldn't be covered up by the gobs of cheese (definitely not the authentic cheese curds but some melted cheese of some sort) and gravy. The taste of the gravy was pretty good though at least.
Wings
The jerk chicken sauce was pretty good but did not go with the very crisp wings in my opinion. They were hot and crispy but somehow did not taste fresh. It would have been just as easy to deliver the jerk sauce as a dipping sauce since it didn't really absorb into the wings.
Cinnamon Bites
I suspect that they fry these in the same grease they fry everything else in because it didn't taste desert-like at ALL. It tasted like...well...fried something...you could basically fill in the blanks as to what fried food it was LOL
So I might try this place again if asked but I can't see myself recommending it. -

Question: Would you hand over $100 bill to a delivery guy who promises to bring back change?
Answer: NO!
And this is just the beginning! It's Sunday night, we ordered a couple of calzones and some wings for delivery. We have a Benjamin so we ask the guy on the phone if that's ok, and if the delivery guy will have change. He says he'll let the delivery kid know and hangs up. Ample heads up about the big bill was given.
About 50 minutes go by so we call back to check on the status. The guy who took the order answers and gruffly says, "Yeah, he's going to get change because he didn't listen to me," about why the delivery guy hasn't shown up.
Five minutes later, we get a call back from a guy saying he's the owner instructing us to fork over the hundred to the delivery guy who will come back with change. No. This is not ok. We offer to pay with a check, which he won't accept and at this point starts YELLING that he is the owner and that we should just give him the money (over an hour later). After he raises his voice, arguing and saying, "What do you want me to do?" we canceled the order.
As we are ordering pizza online from Domino's, the poor delivery guys calls saying he'll come back with change, so we let him know that the order has been canceled because of how we were spoken to.
Then the owner calls back looking for the delivery boy, and AGAIN yells about how I should totally trust him, then he hangs up on us! What?!?!
After that interaction turns out as pleasant as the previous, he TEXTS that if I had just asked for it for free, he probably would have given it to us. Probably.
To the owner, since you asked but clearly were not in a space to listen:
1. Don't say your delivery guy can break a hundred when he clearly can't.
2. Don't blame the delivery boy's poor listening skills for the lateness of the order.
3. Don't yell at another human being about the trustworthiness of your word while demanding money.
4. Don't be a dick. (this should probably go first)
And now Domino's is ringing my doorbell. Sweet.Listed in: The List of Disappointment

Destroyed. That's what the burger was once I got to it. Absolutely destroyed. Made fresh to order, cooked medium, just how I like it. I hate when you go to a take-out place, order a cheese burger, and get some over cooked joke of a patty with too much bun and not enough goodness. Jumbo's was quite the opposite. That big, meaty burger was exactly what I needed.
There were all of these cute little journals on the tables for patrons to doodle, write and leave feedback. I love the idea! The place is sort of a laid back eat on the fly kind of joint so it works. They also have a bunch of paintings by a local artist on the walls. Definitely adds to the charm! I only wish they had more than one artist. Variety baby!
The service was friendly and fairly prompt. I certainly will be back to try some of their many other fresh menu items in the future. Mmmm. Cheeseburgers. -

The food at Jumbos isn't the big issue here. In fact, if I were rating this business on the food alone, I'd probably give it 3 or 4 stars for what it is. Not amazing mind you, and not all that healthy, but pretty good overall.
The problem is that the food is not the only thing a restaurant, big or small, should be offering. Customer service at Jumbos is not a priority at all, and for that I'll be sure never to order from them again.
Take a look at the other poor reviews and you'll start to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Last night, my girlfriend and I ordered a small pizza, some chicken tenders, a garden salad and fried green beans from Jumbos at 6:50pm. On a Sunday night. Foodler confirmed our order with an estimated delivery time of 7:35pm, which is reasonable I suppose. Even if our apartment is a whopping 1.2 miles from the location.
An hour later, at 7:50pm, we began wondering where our food was. At 8:15pm, I called Jumbos and was immediately put on hold without even being asked, which is just plain rude. When the woman came back and asked if I would like to place an order for pickup or delivery, I held back the response of "how about you give me the food I already ordered?" and stuck with something more polite. She then put me on hold again, came back and informed me that they were "very busy tonight" and that my food wasn't there, so it must be in transit. And with that and a quick "sorry about that, thank you for ordering", she hung up.
Nearly 20 minutes later, our food arrived. The driver didn't apologize, and yet I still tipped him, assuming it wasn't his fault. But then again, maybe it was. Everything we ordered was luke warm, and we ended up reheating the chicken and the green beans. The tomatoes in the garden salad looked like they'd gone bad 3 days ago, and they included a generous 2 sticks of celery with our chicken tenders.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. Sure, there wings are pretty good, but they're certainly not the best in Boston (trust me, I'm from Buffalo). And nothing here is worth the hassle that you're likely to deal with.
Don't Eat at Jumbos. -

You know how you sometimes formulate an impression of a restaurant, sight unseen? And then you actually go to that place and you're sorta blown away? Yeah, that was my recent experience at Eat At Jumbo's.
I've ordered delivery from them a few times--good food, for sure, but I usually try to put out of mind what the place it came from looks like. It's dangerous to think about too much, because if you see most restaurant kitchens you won't really want to eat their food anymore, no matter how tasty and non-food-poisoning-causing it really is. I've worked in pizza joints before, so I've gotten pretty good at this skill.
However, a few weeks ago I stopped in with some friends for a quick snack en route to a party in the neighborhood. Consider my mind blowed. The cheery yellow walls adorned with quirky animal paintings, friendly staff, and general cleanliness threw me for a loop.
It's disappointing that this turned out to be the exception, not the rule. So many pizza places can't escape the greasy connotation, but Eat At Jumbo's seems to be able to. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the Ball Square area, and now I feel even better ordering from them with the knowledge that it's not a grease trap. -

My go-to place when ordering for delivery: I've probably ordered from here about once a week for the past year or so. Wait time is OK--usually 30-45 minutes, as stated--but I get the feeling they are overwhelmed with their delivery business, and they have screwed up my order a few times. However, they have remedied a couple times with free wings or garlic knots. I've also dined in a few times; service is sometimes slow, as the always friendly register person is usually on the phone taking delivery orders. Nice to see the displayed art by local artists on the walls.
The wings and tenders are above average--I usually get rochester gold (mustard BBQ), teradactyl (teriyaki BBQ) or medium buffalo. Small orders (8 wings $6.59, 6 tenders $7.49) are correctly priced.
The pizza is pretty good, altho overpriced. Have not had the personal (10"), but the regular (14") is basically a small--enough for one person. A regular cheese is $9.49 plus $1.50 per topping; my regular pepperoni and sausage is $12.49--excessive for basically a small pie. (I can go down the street to Pini's and get two slices for $4 and be just as full.) Better to get the jumbo (18") at $10.99 plus $2 per topping--for a few bucks more, you have two meals.
Other recommendations: Little Italy sub (mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, oregano, olive oil and balsamic) is a good deal at $5.99, as is the upgrade with chicken at $6.79. Burger is good, as are the fries. Buffalo chicken caesar salad ($7.98) is excellent, and very filling. Garlic knots are great; I'd upgrade to 12 for $5.99.
NOTES: In a nod to Somerville's place as the origin of marshmallow fluff, Jumbo's offers a fluffernutter for $3.49. So +1 for that. Also, the Su/M/R special of 1 two-topping jumbo pie and small order of tenders for $19.95 is outstanding value--basically three meals in one. -

In the site of the old Urban Gourmet; Eat At Jumbos has emerged from those sad ashes (literally). It took forever for this spot to come back to life, but I'm reporting to duty that it was worth the wait. It's spotless first of all. Time will tell how clean it stays, but I get the feeling that cleanliness is a top priority.
I went on the day the balloons appeared out front and had to test the pizza. If you're like me, you live in this land of pizza but hate most of them... you'll be thrilled. It's thin crust Italian, baked in a Bakers Pride oven, not one of those conveyor belt disasters. When I phoned in the order and ordered a large cheese (basic test, right?) he says to me: "white or whole wheat?"
Hello? Have angels just landed upon my shoulders?
Alright. So we also ordered Buffalo tenders, (beautiful blue cheese dressing!) and naked tenders for the toddlers. The next day I had a burger for lunch.
Finally today, day 3 in-a-row I ordered another chicken tender dish with Lemon Pepper sauce.
All three orders of chicken have been hearty, moist and crispy.
OH! We also ordered French Fries and they tasted as clean as the place looks. Aren't "brown" fries that make your tongue curl just wrong? Maybe there should be an ordinance against it. Okay, move on.
The burger was large and tasty. The presentation of the burger could have been better (a toasted bun and less toppings for starters), but at the end of the day it was THICK and not a freeze dried 1/4 lb wafer.
I asked the guy why the tenders are so good and he said something about they over sized the gas lines to the fry-o-lator so it doesn't lose heat when food goes in, or keeps up the temperature longer so the food is in and out faster. Sounds good to me. Nice to build out a restaurant from scratch if you can, I guess.
3 meals in, it's 5 star fast food. We'll see if they get to the point of bringing in nightly specials down the road, but for now I hope they can just master what they're doing, and keep the quality where it is. -

I'd been talking about ordering from here since they opened, and tonight we finally did. Only, I was disappointed and probably won't be ordering from them again.
The first problem was that the delivery took over an hour and the food was lukewarm. The delivery guy appologized saying they wre very busy tonight, but it didn't really make me feel better.
I ordered a Peppy Chicken Sandwich (grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, grilled peppers & onions, lettuce and tomato). The bread was completely soggy which really took away from the flavor of the sandwich.
There are lots of pizza/sub/wing shops around who don't take an hour to deliver lukewarm food that's tastier than the sandwich I had tonight... so I think I'll be ordering from one of those places in the future.Listed in: Davis Square area delivery
