*Sigh*  My puppy is growing up and filling out into his buff teenhood stage!  I noticed that his collar, of which was too big when we first got it for him is now too tight.  Nooooo!  My baby is almost all grown up!!!

Anyway, after visiting many other pet stores, we knew the best selection of dog collars, specifically the martingale training kind that we use is offered at Eastside Dog.  I admit it, I like my dog to be stylin' so a collar is a very important purchase!  With our spotted little guy, non-clashing patterns are hard to come by so selection is key and this pet store offers a wide one.

Their selection is not limited to collars, they have pretty much everything else you could possibly need for your 4-legged pal whether they be of the canine or feline persuasion!  They offer everything from organic, holistic and raw foods and treats to quality duds, toys and food bowls plus the largest bed selection I have ever seen!

They also have a wonderful house pooch who warmly welcomes each of his visitors.  Branimir wanted so desperately to play with him but had to be reminded that this wasn't the time or place for such rough housing!

Still loving this store~ this time, I went back to get some omega 3 oils to put on my baby's food and try out the Dogswell treats.  The longest-living dog (21 years!) supposedly ate a lot of Dogswell treats.  The store employee gave me some sample treats to give to my Yorkie.  There is a very good selection of omega 3 oils-I asked the store worker which one is most popular and she recommended the one that is in a tin bottle b/c the other ones came in plastic bottles and there is a pretty good chance that the the plastic will erode due to the salmon oil.  The Dogswell treats are very well-priced so I purchased chicken breast treats for joints.  My dog loves her new goodies!  Now I need to go back and get a new harness b/c my dog somehow wore out her old one.  Such a variety!  I loves!  I wish they had peepad holders though.  I didn't see any.

Good pet store.  Good selection.  Also, I'm kind of sick of massive sized big boxes and it's nice to go to a more local place.  I'm willing to pay a few extra $s for a local retailer.

LOVE this place!!  Tons of ridiculously cute crap that my dog doesn't know she needs BUT SHE NEEDS IT!! Like tiny-sized Seahawks jerseys :D

They also carry Cloak and Dawggie harnesses, which are the BEST BEST BEST harnesses out there for little dogs, and they're priced well. (Cheaper than I can even find them for online!)

The dog food seems to be decently priced as well, and they finally started carrying Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul kibble- which is next to impossible to find.  No more driving out to Bothell for our dog food- plus it's 8.95 a bag here instead of 10. Another dollar for doggie treats! :D

Oh! And they ALWAYS give us some extra treats to take to our baby, who is waiting patiently in the car for her kibbles and new toys =)

Eastside Dog, is easily one of the best pet stores in the area. They only sell ultra-superior class dog food and one of the few places you can buy commercial raw/BARF in a pet store. They have a diverse selection of products and prices ranges, they do carry a large assortment of high end pet products but it's also a regular neighborhood shop where you can pick up some pig ears & Kong.

There are other high end pet boutiques in this area, and while Eastside Dog does have some overlapping products, it's not pretentious and it's not over the top expensive. It's a great local business I'm thrilled to support.

Also, the service and knowledge provided by the staff is light years above anything a chain store could ever help you with. When my puppy had demodex and a sensitive stomach they were easily able to recommend solutions that would comfort and heal him quickly; solutions they didn't sell but pointed me to where I could. It great to see a store provide such great customer service, even if the dollar spent isn't with them; that's why I keep coming back

Especially after all of the pet food recalls, I shop at Eastside dog knowing that I could pull any food off of the shelf and it would be safe to feed my pets.

Updating my original review a year later... I still LOVE this store. I go there all the time to get bones, food, and toys for my pup. They have also organized the store a lot better since my last review and it's now super easy to find what you're looking for.

We like this place a lot (dog included)!  They've got raw bones, Solid Gold jerky treats, and other assorted foo foo treats that our dog "requires" at the most reasonable prices we've found in the Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland area so far.

Even though they do cater pretty heavily to teeny tiny dogs (outfits and carrying cases, etc.) they carry a remarkably diverse selection of big dog toys (and Primecards get some percentage off toys!), dog hiking gear, and even a bit of cat stuff.

The proprietors remember our dog (probably by the full body wag he gives in the store, knocking over store displays, small children, and small dogs in his exuberant butt's path), always ask us before they give him a treat, and usually make him behave before they give it out.

Stopped by Eastside Dog today and boy is this place CUTE!!!!!  I just wish the store was a little more organized but maybe that's what gives it some quirk. Lots of different collars and clothing for the pampered pup and a nice selection of doggy treats! Plus, the lady at the counter was nice enough to let us sample some treats to take home with us and tell us about the Canine Festival next weekend. Woof!

This is the BEST place! We love this place; everytime we go, we've always had a great experience. They are always giving us tons of free treats.  The staff is VERY helpful and friendly. Today, we couldn't decide on a new dog food since one of our dogs has allergies, so the lady kindly offered us to take samples to try it. Very impressive!

Lots of cool stuff, but WAY overpriced! They do carry organic raw dog food, which is the only thing I loved about this place, but it will cost you an arm to buy it! It also says its dog friendly, but it was very small and really crowded with stuff, so I guess unless you have a 'Tinkerbelle' dog it would be quite difficult.
