Solid food, but don't expect anything special. I thought their regular menu prices were on the higher end for the quality, but why would anyone order from the regular menu with all the specials available? Instead of the $12 sandwich, I went with a $7.99 spicy smoked sausage hoagie. It was a good size, I didn't taste anything particularly smoky or spicy, but it was warm and filling. Some of the people I went with took advantage of $5 steak night every Wednesday. It came with fries (pretty good fries) and the steak itself was apparently ok, but not spectacular (what would you expect for $5?).
View of Lake Union was really spectacular, and the server was very accomodating of our party of 20 with no advance notice (wow!). Granted we had to sit outside despite it being a little too cold for that, the food took a little on the longer side to arrive, but overall it was a pleasant experience.
Bottom line: Go there for the happy hour specials.
I've only been here twice -- and had two different meals -- but the view alone will keep me coming back. The deck has a great view of Lake Union...epic spot to sip a beer. The prices weren't memorable...I think that's a good thing, right?
I recommend the quesadilla on the appetizer list, SO GOOD!
Sure, happy hour sounds good- just a little sumpn sumpn to hold me over til dinner....Popcorn Shrimp and a Salmon Burger. Very delish, and I inhaled it. I was rather impressed. And full.
Decent staff, need to have a little bit more enthusiasm and organization, but overall, great.
Would most def go back here again!

My wife and I were going to a show last night and went here to grab a quick meal. The service was incredible! The views are spectacular. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty. We both shared the coconut shrip starter and let me tell you, its just as good as it sounds. We also both had a chicken sante-fe salad which was one of the best I have ever had. From top to bottom I was impressed with the whole experience.
Great Happy Hour Specials (Food and Drink), can't go wrong. After work popcorn shrimp and cheeseburger with a beer, around $12 with tip!!!
On a dark & stormy nite (and I'm not kidding you either) this week, we strolled into the EBG on a whim - a) we were hungry and b) needed wifi.
Our server was friendly and quick to point out what she thought was good & not so good (I asked, she was honest!).
We decided to do the 3 course special for $15 each - salad, entree, and dessert (yay!).
For a bar, the food was pretty good. My house salad was really good, my salmon, while a bit on the crispy (on the out) side, was still very flavourful, and the garlic mashed? YUMMERS. Broccoli and carrots tasted a little funky to me, so I left them on my plate to hang out.
The fries that came w/ C's burger were also well done - crunchy, salty goodness - just the way I like 'em.
We shared the flourless chocolate cake dessert & while it was tasty, it was also kind of heavy (read: brick), and we only ate a few bites.
The bar's downfall: super bad music (ok I can't stand Jimmy Buffett...please...really? country? Crystal Gayle? For real? PASS) & the fact that I wanted to punch the girl a few tables down b/c she kept whooping REALLY LOUDLY during the soccer match being played on tv.
Otherwise, I'd go back & hang out there for sure.
We came here for my best friend's birthday last night and the experience was "meh." Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for food and drinks, but as with most larger groups we had issues with splitting the check. They apparently do not split checks for parties over 6 people (I think that it's because parties over 6 are automatically charged 18% gratuity, which is fine), so it was a nightmare trying to figure out who owed how much and whatnot. They actually brought us back our bill because we had made a calculation error (after fifteen minutes of going through everything already) which caused major headaches with everybody.
The food wasn't too impressive or too mediocre. I ordered the steak salad, which came out without enough dressing. The crispy onion rings on top were nice, but difficult to eat with a fork because the salad made them soggy.
I would probably come back for lunch or happy hour, but maybe not for dinner.

Came here for a late lunch on a recent weekday afternoon. I looked through the specials, then the main menu, but nothing really jumped out at me. Finally I chose the jalapeno & chicken macaroni and cheese. It was adequate, but I wouldn't order it again. Instead of a baked macaroni and cheese, this dish consisted of cooked penne pasta tossed with cheese sauce and sliced jalapeno peppers, and topped with a sliced, grilled chicken breast. The cheese sauce could have been much better; I don't remember what cheeses they used, but they tasted merely OK. There were some steamed carrots and broccoli on the side, but they weren't cut into small enough pieces, and they were hard to cut with only a fork and butter knife. There was also a super-greasy wedge of focaccia on the side.
The outside seating area is rather nice, except for the chairs, which are extremely uncomfortable. The top edge of the backrest is made from a thin ribbon of metal, nearly horizontal, but tilted slightly downward toward the occupant's back. This piece of metal presses against the occupant's spine if he sits back in the chair, resulting in a sharp, pinching pain.
Great service, nice view of Lake Union (technically not a "waterfront" view), fun Tiki Bar on the outside patio.
What to fix: terribly uncomfortable deck chairs, poorly executed cheese sauce on my pasta, oversized pieces of steamed vegetables, greasy focaccia.

The food and drinks here merit 3 starts but the back patio 5. I guess I wouldn't bother going here to sit inside, but I don't know anywhere much better than the back deck of this place on a nice day. Other people feel the same way, I guess, as it can be absolutely packed sometimes.
Happy hour starts early (3 - 6pm) and the prices are fantastic (food more so than drinks, but both pretty cheap). It's not too crowded in the earlier afternoon, so if you find some free time I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Sat outside to enjoy the view after a long day of rowing.
The service was fast, food came out fast. I ordered the "Eastlake Burger"... and it was a-ok. I probably won't be going back for the food, not that it was bad - just average - but I will for the location, service and smiles!

It was a full day with activities. It's sunday night after 10 pm. We all were on our cell phones looking for a happy hour that was still open. Ivars nope, McCormicks Nope, Ranch Bravo closed. 4 hungry football size linemen. Saw a sign Happy hour till closing. Did a U-wee and parked in their parking lot.
A cute girl greeted us and escorted us to the outside deck. On a beautiful 70 degree night we immediately ordered a round of drinks. then we ordered away. food arrived quickly. and it disappeared just as fast. 3 more round of drinks and more happy hour selections. We probably had most of the stuff on the menu. Funny when your hungry and tipsy everything just goes down so fast. And you forget how the food tasted. We Almost closed the place down. They handed us our check with a smile. One of our friends mentioned he has no cash. what a loser. so we chipped in for him. $30 bucks a piece. It was a satisfying sunday night on eastlake bar and grill.

I'm disappointed that they raised their prices. I feel like it's not that worth it to come here anymore because it is a bit pricey. Good happy hour food, but I don't know if it's worth $20 plus tax & tip for two people.
3 stars- one for the service, one for the view, and one for the fries!
Love this place. Great roofdeck with water view for a sunny day. Excellent burgers. Great appetizers and happy hour. Definitely try a burger and a side of sweet potato fries--you won't regret it.
Besides the burgers, I haven't tried any of the other entrees, so I can't really comment on that.

You'll always find Seattle U's MITFA06 cohort here on Friday afternoons. We come because we love the view, the service, and the tasty food. The owner takes good care of everyone and is always quick to make sure everyone's happy.
We love that happy hour starts at three, and there's also a late happy hour. We often stop here for a late-night snack and drink. The upstairs lounge is nice, and the tiki bar in the summer is a sweet touch.
A few yelpers have commented that the food is mediocre, but I highly recommend the wedge salad, the coconut shrimp, and the jalapeno mac and cheese.
The view can't be beat -- I often bring out-of-towners here for a happy hour after they arrive because they love the idea of a non-pretentious bar right on the water.
I dropped my review by a star because it seems like the prices aren't as stellar as they once were and some of the newer servers don't seem as friendly as our favorites (Leah!), but everything is always well worth the trip.
Much better then my experience at the Southlake grill.
The service was very prompt and friendly, the food was VERY good, and the price was right.
I had the veggie burger with cheese and bacon!

The popularity and quality of this restaurant has been well documented. Consistency has been our experience and our Saturday lunch with friends was great! Coconut prawns, caesar salad among the best were outstanding; pleasant staff made our experience a joy. We were so glad to be back in Seattle for a great weekend!
I am bringing this up to four stars because while brunch was slightly lackluster, for happy hour their deck can't be beat. The view is amazing, the food is decent, the booze is boozy. What more could you want?

Breakfast on the weekend is a steal. If you get in before 11 am... everything on the menu is $5.95. This was not a bagel and a cup of Joe either. I had a vegetable frittata with toast and my girlfriend had eggs benedict with potatoes. They were reasonable portions too. I can't say it's the best breakfast I have had but you can't beat it for the price. If you are looking for a cheap, sit down breakfast... I would recommend checking it out. They also have a buffet breakfast.

I;ve been here a couple times when meeting friends after work. It's a pretty chill place to have a couple drinks in a central (for us) location. The drinks are pretty good, happy hour can get you some decent prices on them. The food, well, it isn't great. I've had only the burgers which are adequate. We'll keep going back because of the convenience and the view.
5th bar of the pub run.
A fine place

I've lived in Eastlake for almost a year and just recently got over to this place. I think maybe it's because the outside doesn't really scream at you to come in.
I had the bleu cheese burger and it was delicious. Kind of like a red robin style burger but cheaper. They seem to have some pretty good deal nights, especially Sundays, so you might want to check that out.
They have ginger ale on tap, which is an interesting touch if you happen to be part of the few that like it. A friend of mine was quite thrilled.
I'll go back.

Burger was good. The fries arrived cold and chewy. The server did respond to my request for a basket of fresh fries. View of water was nice, but the the restaurant's aesthetics needs work. Slow service on the beverages.
The menu advertised 3 courses for 15.99 on Mondays and Tuesdays.Next time I crave a burger,I will stop by the Red Robin for the hot and fat fries first!

The key to the menu and prices is to remember the name--it's a BAR AND GRILL. This place is very popular, and for a reason. Their weekly deals such as the Feast for 15 (Sundays & Mondays) and the $5 Steak and fries (Wednesdays) are simply unbeatable, as is dining on the deck on a sunny day/warm night. My personal favorite on the dinner menu is the prime dip! Staff is fun and friendly...and attractive! ;) I particularly like chatting with a couple of the hostesses, they rock. Best happy hour around. Love this place!!
I went here recently when I was tired, in a bad mood, and not at all myself. The porter on draft and the delicious burger that was smothered in grilled onions and barbecue sauce restored me to my usual self extremely quickly. Service was friendly and prompt, the menu had several options that I was interested in, and the setting was relaxing.
The only downside for me was the fries - not much taste, even when I added salt and covered them in ketchup. I like my fries to remind me, at least vaguely, of potatoes and these definitely did not.
Overall 4 stars and I'm sure I will eat here again!

A taste of tickytac suburbia located, strangely, in the middle of Seattle.
IM IN UR SEATTLE, COMPEATIN WIF UR TGIFRIDAYZ.
Even though the usual big sports bar and sloppy post-frat crowd is here, the food is better than expected and there is an ok view of the lake (if you ignore the industrial area).
Try a burger or the mini pulled pork slider things if you want to eat. The attitude problems of the staff wasn't making me thirsty.

This place is one of my favorite places to be. A family member also to Greenlake Bar & Grill. They have a killer happy hour with appi's from $2-4.95 (Quesadilla, burger, wedge salad, wings).
It's a laid back atmosphere with a tasty menu. The wait staff isn't all full of beautiful girls that make you feel insecure for eating their extra fabulous fries (if you don't like skinny style fries, go to Red Robin).
They have a $5 steak night on Wedn and $5 Taco night on Tuesdays. No matter what day of the week, it seems they always have something for my budget!
(Parking can be a b*tch)
Crisp, not too creamy chicken caesar salad, strong and sweet cosmo, great beer on draft, cooked to order burgers and friendly, accommodating service and atmosphere.
I had been hearing "The Legend of the Eastlake Grill" for about 30 years before I actually went here for a late dinner with a guy I was trying to seduce.
It worked.

I've only been here once, and admittedly I have not utilized the rooftop deck on a sunny day, so my review mostly reflects the 1980's TGIF'esque interior and the pretty good food. Actually, I was really thrilled with the food, but the booths and little curtains between the booths were so distracting that the giant bowl of seafood chowder (for the low low price of something like $4 during happy hour) could not keep my attention. The Happy Hour is pretty outstanding, which almost bumps it up to 4 stars, but again, the atmosphere is pretty important in my book. Maybe when the sun emerges again in June I can give it another star, perhaps two.
Also, I hear the breakfast is cheap and good, or so says the sign I can see from my apt, but that is yet to be confirmed.

Can't beat the patio in summer...reminds me of a San Diego Bar and Grill.
Good food at a decent price. Although I think the booze is a bit over priced....
I make a visit about twice a month. Good service 90% of the time.
Why is it places like these can't seem to keep their restrooms clean
and stocked? Is it that difficult? Maybe it's just the Mens rooms...??
Enlighten me ladies!

MMMmmm... it's always so tasty every time I've come. Dining in & out, I've always been satisfied.
One of my fav plates I had was a Light Lunch Combination of Grilled Chicken breast served with mango-kiwi sauce. And let me tell you that sauce was AMAZING. I just about fell in love with it right there.
My only prob was the cocktail I had, it just didn't do anything for me. But I'll still rate it 5 stars because maybe I need to try something different. The bartender was real nice, made sure myself & the small group I was with was well taken care of with "my food" and our drinks.
I was starving after my concert so I came here to grab a bite to eat. They have really good food here but their portions are kinda funny especially their drinks. They have a great view of the water front especially from the deck. The service was fairly fast which made the experience even better. So it was an overall nice place.
Used to be a favorite HH place of mine until they raised their HH menu prices on food. The food is alright, don't go there and pay off the menu price though; it's pretty expensive for what you get. The service can waiver between decent and bad depending on how busy the place is.
Fairly good drinks, decent selection of beer on tap, mediocre food.

I was stuck in a birthday party planning debacle: I couldn't find a place for my 50-60 guests. I was frantically calling and emailing places asking if their private rooms/patios/bars were available for full rental. Even though I kind of hate the Eastlake Bar and Grille, they made my list in terms of capacity- although, I wasn't thrilled with the price quote on the website: $2500 minimum for the Lookout Lounge deck.
But! Convinced I could negotiate it down, I called and emailed the contact person... and didn't get a response until SEVEN days later. "Sorry Sarah, the deck is not available that night. Please let me know if there is another date that works for you."
THANKFULLY, I'd found another venue- but holy delayed response! My question is, was the deck available a week earlier- when I had originally asked?

I went a week ago for the first time, one of the nights it was snowing.
Had myself a couple of hot toddys, perfect.
Everyone at my table was pleased with the quality and portion of food served.
The wait staff was helpful and polite but not overbearing... and they didn't rush us.
I will surely be going back soon.
Went for lunch today and sat out on the deck looking out on Lake Union. Gorgeous view, great place to take the out of towners on a nice day.
Had the signature beer battered fish and chips along with a cup of the seafood chowder. The fish is good (definitely a step up from Ivars) and the fries tasty. The chowder I like not so much... Seemed like a combo bisque chowder... Bring on the Pike Place Chowder, please!
Moderately priced, the others reviewing must make more than I do or there are probably good Happy Hour specials. The $9 advertised evening special of a Corrona and two tacos doesn't seem like a very good deal to me.

EB&G is a BAR & GRILL and this review is based on that. Great HH prices for food and drinks. The view is great, and if it's a nice day--the patio is better. We had a fish and chips and a cheeseburger, beer and margaritas on the patio this past weekend (the "summer Saturday" in April when it hit 79).
I was actually impressed with the service and the cooperative effort of the staff. It was super busy and they seemed to put forth a cheerful effort to make sure we were taken care of. Maybe it was just that is was sunny and warm.
We've eaten here a couple times for dinner, and it wasn't that great. However, when I'm wanting a drink and snack on a sunny afternoon, this will probably be one of the first places I think about.

Happy hour at anyone of the 3 restaurants solid. I only eat here for happy hour.
Food:
- Shoe String Fries. Best in town!
- Salmon Burger. Forgettable. They used to serve it with an actually fillet of farm raised salmon. Now it's a ground up mixture that taste like left over trimmings from the fillets.
- Chicken Burger. Better than average. Nice large chicken breast.
- Mac and Cheese. Good stuff.
- Chicken Quesadilla. Forgettable.
- Calamari. Classic.
Overall it's good Sysco style food. I wish they would incorporate more local and seasonally fresh foods. This location in particular is good in the summer time for the deck and it's great views of Lake Union.
We had a very difficult time finding a place in the north end that would be able to accommodate my group of 15-25 for my birthday party in May. I called Greenlake B&G (same restaurant, different location) and they weren't able to hold a group of our size but referred me to Eastlake Bar and Grill. The reservation was taken without a problem, for a Saturday evening, which is amazing because most places don't take reservations for Saturdays, especially in late spring or summer.
In any event. Guests arrived earlier than I did (I go by my own clock, deal with it) they were seated promptly at a spot towards the back of the restaurant where we would bother other guests the least, or so they thought . When I arrived about a half hour later than our reservation was for, traffic was bad, I swear, everyone was sitting happily with drinks in hand. Our waitress though busy kept a good eye on us, we ony complained a little about the fact that our drinks were slow to arrive so we started ordering two at a time. Drinks were strong, waitress made it a point to find out what the occasion was and staff came over and gave birthday greetings to me. No singing or anything, the manager simply came over and said happy birthday and asked how everything was.
The food was fantastic, the view was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone who attended agreed that they'd definitely venture to the restaurant again.
I'd love to give this place five stars, but I have one complaint, one MAJOR complaint that almost prevents me from even giving it four stars. Our bill: When you have a large group of people, I understand the restaurant wanting to put everything on one tab, but they didn't itemize it. We spent almost 45 minutes figuring out who owed what on their tab. It was ridiculous. We spent $700 and they couldn't even take the time to manually split it down for each individual?! Awful. I lost my buzz before we got done paying, and that alone is worth minus two stars, but my food and the drinks were so good I'll still give it four.
I guess I'll go back, but never in a large group again, ever.

Beer: $4.50
Chicken sandwich: $9.25
Watching a busser throw water over the deck, having a hostess rudely bump into me in the hallway rather than waiting 2 seconds for me to go by without saying 'excuse me' AND sitting next to some douchebag idiots talking (loudly) about colonostomies: Priceless
Ok, ok. I LOVE their happy hour, but otherwise, this place would've gotten 2 stars.
Their food was good. Not great. But, good.
It's not as crowded as other restaurants that have patio seating with a kickass view. But, that's probably because there's a reason for that.
Our server took forever to do....well, everything. When I asked her a question about the menu she replied with an "Umm, I dunno, hehe" (insert hair flip), and didn't check up on us until we were almost finished with our food. I'm usually not too picky about service, but some things just bug me...like waiting more than 10 minutes to pay so I can get the hell away from a dude with a mullet who will not stop talking about his shit!

Nothing makes me happier than happy hour. Really.
I'm not a lush, although that comment makes me seem like one, but for reals, this place has a fantastic happy hour (every day from 11 to whenever and earlier in the day as well). $3.50 Wells & Wine and a huge list of $3.50 beer's too. I haven't been able to get drunk on $20 in like...um, forever.
Now for the eats...
We gots the $2.99 menu (mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, salad wedge etc) and we gots the $3.99 menu (hot wings, chicken sandwhich, burger, um and lots of other tasties).
The ambiance is quite laid back, but not grubby bar laid back. Me likey. Me likey a lot.
