Ok, so I am not going to take stars away but I just want everyone to be aware that their delivery is SLLLLOOOOOOOOOW.  I sure wish that they would get that part together a little bit better.  Last night we ordered two Gyros sandwiches and one veggie grinder sandwich with fries at 7:10pm.  It came at 8:40pm.  Now come on, had we ordered stuffed pizza, maybe.  But for three sandwiches and fries I dont think that is cool.  I am not taking stars away because the food is really really yummy.  I am just suggesting to all of you out there to maybe think of them as a carryout place instead of delivery.  This is not the first time that their delivery has been slow.

Any Miami Vice fans out there? This place has Izzy- Crockett and Tubbs man on the street- delivering pizza. Five stars just for that.

The food here also happens to be sooooo good. Especially the day after a karaoke night when you're wanting grease. If you've never had a grinder, you need to call and order one right now. A combo. It's the gooiest and so delicious. Get it on garlic bread. I have a tip for you when it comes to grinders- a lot of people I know have a problem with one ingredient or another- onions, green peppers, tomatoes, ham etc. Even if you'd normally order something without said ingredient you don't like, don't make any changes to a combo grinder. You might not like one ingredient or another, but they make magic in your mouth together.

Pizza? The shit. My wife does not like pizza. She's from Long Island. Hates Chicago pizza- It's her biggest fault. She loves eastern style. The pizza is the best place I know of to get eastern style- foldable- pizza.

The first time, you'll order from here for Izzy's doppelganger, but the food will bring you back.

I grew up with this pizza, I lived two blocks away, (30 years ago). Gulliver's and Barnaby's were right there as well, but it was always Eastern Style I would call. Having just moved back to the hood, I'm not surprised it's still there; grateful as well. Tom Dude, the "triangle" (wedge ) cut is called "Eastern Style" that's where the place takes it's name from. I love Chicago Style deep dish, however, when you need a good old fashioned in your face "that's damn good pizza," this is the place to go.

Haven't tried the pizza actually but the grinders, OMG!  The philly cheesesteak is just so delicious.  I just ate one 30 minutes ago, and it never ceases to amaze.  The "combination" grinder ain't bad either, so I usually get both and eat the other one the next day.  It's in Roger's Park so you're most likely going to have to take a car here.  Just keep this in mind, if you happen to find yourself at around Touhy and McCormick and you need a sandwhich, this place will be a good treat.

FYI, I usually order ahead of showing up, because it can take 10-15 minutes for a grinder to cook.  Also don't be too put off by the guys running the place.  They come across a little crabby like the soup nazi :)   But I didn't give this place 5 stars for kisses and hugs.

I wish I knew how to quit you Eastern Style, I wish I knew how to quit you!

This is my fave greasy treat.  I can't say anything about the 'za, as I haven't ever had it, but I can comment on the grinders: DELICIOUS!

Seriously, this is the best way to recoup from a loooong night of drinking.  Nothing sokes up the booze better.

Fave grinders include: philly cheese steak, chicken and eggplant.  Goal: try them all.  Then book triple bypass!

BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS!!! HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!!  this place is sooooooooooooooooooooooo yummy....BUT before we get into it....dont embarress yourself by taking a date or friends there...its stuck in 1982 in there...just take out or deliver!!!  They have the most fabulous sandwiches called Grinders!!!! Its this huge foot long french bread type thing filled with things like gyros, chicken, roast beef, Italian beef, meatballs, whatever you want and oven baked! OMG they are so amazing...schlept with this homemade garlic sauce thing they schmeer all over it.  They also have great pizza and plenty to pick on the menu!!!...but definitely go in for a grinder..they are so amazing!  I just gained 5 pounds thinking of it ....make it stop!

These guys have delicious pizza, grinders, cheese sticks and greek salads. They have a few tables to dine in but I prefer to take my food to go so I can pig out in privacy. ;)

I gave the pizza a try today.  I wasn't impressed.  The crust was ok.  There was too much cheese and very little sausage.  I will not be returning.

The pizza was also cut into triangle pieces, which reminds me of pizza by the slice for lunch.  I'm sorry but there are much better pizza locations in the area.

Thank God! Finally a place in the north side that has a New York style pizza.  The right equation of gooey cheese to delicious sauce has found a new place in my heart and belly!  I will become a regular, the service has the whole "soup nazi" thing going which I appreciate- let the food speak for itself.   Also had a great Philly Cheese Steak, best in the city - in best I have had since the real thing at Pat's in Philly.  Try it, thank me later.

Best grinders EVER. Love the Chicken Breast Grinder and the Combination Grinder. Also the Greek Village Salad and the regular Greek Salad are awesome. Sometimes the service is kinda slow so I try to always call ahead before I stop by, they also deliver but not until the evening i think.
