The remodel is nice, keeps the same laidback vibe of the old Union Station, but cleaned up a bit.

Food is mediocre, and service is hit or miss.  Some servers are friendly and competent, others less so.  Bartenders are mostly good though.

Friday nights are the best time to come IMO - cheap drinks specials and very good music videos playing on the big screens.

So sad. East Village is in the old Union Station spot, but doesn't have the inexpensive, reliable food that US had.

Got a Philly steak and cheese with mushrooms, onions, and peppers wrap. Dry, dry, dry, no cheese, no mushrooms, maybe 6 total pieces of onion and peppers. It was maybe an inch or an inch and a half around as well and cost $7.50 - without a side. I had to order tater tots for $1.99. The tots were great, but it's hard to screw up a tater tot.

Burger: used to have great burgers at US. Not anymore! Dry, dry, dry, dry. Also did not come with a side even though it cost $7 or $8. A la carte dining is fine for a fine dining establishment, but for bar food priced at $7-12 a sandwich? Pishaw.

When we spoke to the manager, he seemed less than friendly and asked about the burger: "it was order well done, right?"  Um, well done does not mean dry! We made a well done burger at home a couple hours later (neither one of us really ate much, it was that crappy) and it was very juicy.

We overheard other customers tell their server that both of their pizzas were raw in the center.

The only reason for the three stars is the interior. The remodel was awesome! It's very modern and spiffy looking. I am looking forward to the live bands on the weekend as well. let's hope the food will improve.
