I've been fortunate enough to take some of the adult classes EBDC offers and have had a great time getting to know the staff, parents and additional students.
EBDC caters to all ages, has affordable registration rates, and is involved in many competitions/community events throughout the year.
The owner, Ashley, is extremely talented and very passionate about her business and students.
She's also managed to expand the business 2 times in less than 5 years!
Over the last two years, I've attended their big spring recital.
The costumes are always fabulous and the dances are professional and fun to watch (especially the cute littlest babes).
If you're looking for your child -- or even for you -- EBDC is by far the best studio in the bay area. -

My daughters have recently started dancing in the pre-dance class at EBDC and LOVE it.
I love that it's such a small, family oriented studio and the pre-dance class really is pre-dance. The kids are allowed to be kids. Some studios demand some crazy stuff from the little ones but at EBDC, while the kids are expected to pay attention, the teachers are great at getting them back on track without making them loss their love of movement and the joy of dance.
The parents are really nice as well. I enjoy chatting with the other moms every week and Miss. Shelby is just great with the kids. They LOVE her. They also love Miss Ashley (the studio owner) and look forward to coming every week.
Besides pre-dance, they have a whole host of jazz and hip hop classes for older kids, including a lot of competition teams.
If you are looking for a competitive, hard core, ballet studio, EBDC is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a place for your young children to express their love of dance and movement, in a non pretentious, fun environment, than look no further! -

My girls just started their second year at EBDC, and they won't dance anywhere else. They're always look forward to dance class day! The company emphasizes having FUN, learning techniques at the right age level, and being a KID! They're definitely not pretentious, like other studios can be, and that's the #1 reason we keep going back. The teachers are wonderful--especially Miss Tanya! Miss Ashley, the studio director, is a GREAT role model and should be proud of the outstanding business and reputation that she's built over the past few years.

My daughter has been participating in dance and stretch classes as well as competing for East Bay Dance Company on a hip-hop team this past year. Being new to the area we searched high and low to find a safe and high quality program for our daughter. EBDC is now a second home for my little girl and she is learning loads from the amazing instructors there. Ms. Ashley is a wonderful mentor to my 8 year old and someone I trust. As a Dad I need the combination of talent, passion and safety in any youth program and that is what we have found at East Bay Dance Company. I cannot say enough good things about East Bay ... but if you need more, just ask, my wife and I are certainly there enough!

My sister and I took our first ballet lesson ever - and it was free! My mom received two gift certificates for a free dance lesson from Enchanted Florist - also on Alcosta closer to 680 though.
The instructor, Lizelle, was GREAT! I was surprised how many women were in a week day evening class.
They offer other dance classes for adults, check this studio out!! -

I signed my 3 1/2 year old up for ballet class here 2 months ago. Not only is it a great little studio with a welcoming atmosphere, Miss Ashley is wonderful with kids!! My daughter loves going every week, loves Miss Ashley, and to my surprise comes home using proper ballet terms :)

Went today for a free childrens dance class for my play group. Ashley is great with kids and really had some fun things planned. The studio is really cuteand inviting. There is a tv for parents to watch their little ones and not distract them.

I'm not sure where Dale S. is coming from, and of course he's certainly entitled to his opinion, EXCEPT when it is slanderous and untrue. My daughter has been dancing for the past 5 years, and has attended a couple of different studios in the area, but it wasn't until we found EBDC that we found a home...great instruction, love and great concern for the children, and a family atmosphere in the face of a rapidly growing business. This studio is a blessing and we are so grateful to have found Miss Ashley and her staff. My totally sports minded 10-year-old son also loves taking the boys hip hop class during the off-season...something for everyone!

Great place to take your kids. I take my 3 and 4 year old here and they enjoy it. Teachers are excellent and engage the kids. There are occasion recitals they practice for but if you don't want to participate in the extracurricular events you don't have to. Remember that last sentence as some dance studios force you to spend a lot of money and participate in frequent recitals.
