I feel compelled to post this review, only because the only other opinion stated was by an employee some three years ago. I think there needs to be a counterpoint to the warm fuzzy picture previously painted, and by someone who actually stayed there as a paying guest.
Time marches on. Fast forward to Summer, 2008. I can only assume the ownership/management has changed. Only my naturally polite nature, a Catholic upbringing, and yelp's policy on profanity prevents me from accurately describing the current "owners" I encountered. Simply put, the most unpleasant experience I have had in many years of RV'ing, Let me state loudly and clearly that I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this place to anyone.
You should boondock in WalMart's parking lot first if this place was your only other option; you won't be gouged, and you'll meet a much better class of people.
And that is being kind.
We own a 25 ft trailer and have stayed numerous places in RV parks. The owners/managers of this park are the grumpiest most unflexible managers of all the parks we have stayed. We stayed at this RV park last summer because it is near our relatives and because there are only two RV parks we could find in Poulsbo. At that time we thought they were unfriendly to work with but went ahead and made another reservation for this summer because as I said it is close to family. They require a 100 dollar deposit to hold your reservation. When we called to change the reservation (and it was a week ahead of when we needed the reservation) to a week later they said we could change the reservation but it would cost us our 100 dollar deposit. So we could change the reservation to one week later but they would get our 100 dollars and it would not be included towards the money we would pay for our months stay. They did somethng similar to this last year too. They know they have you over a barrel because there are few RV parks around. We will not stay in this RV park ever again and I would strongly recommend that you find a different place to stay if you can. It will save you money and frustration. They need to get out of the business or have an attitude change
I manage the park and I have to say it is a great place to work and stay! It is clean, quite and secure. We have people visit us from all over the world and guests that return year after year. The park is set back off the highway and is beautifully landscaped with private sites. We are located near the Clearwater and Point-No-Point casinos, as well as plenty of golf, shopping, great food and lots more! It is easy access to Downtown Seattle or Edmonds (via the Washington State Ferry) and the Olympic Peninsula. Stay for the night, the week or the month! Discount rates given for groups and Goodsam or Escapees members. We have a new clubhouse, Propane, full hookup, cable, free internet, laundry, 30 & 50 amp, Big Rig friendly!
