The ECenter was a very clean, nice venue for a concert. We flew from California to see New Kids on the Block at the ECenter and were very pleased with our experience there. It is conveniently located within walking distance to hotels, restaurants, & stores. The only concern I had was regarding the security at the venue. While I didn't mind not having to show my ticket to get to my third row center stage seats, it also opened up the opportunity for other people from other sections to make their way to the front as well. That wasn't cool.
A part of our package deal included a meet & greet with the guys from NKOTB. Although this was arranged by a promotion company, I noticed that the ECenter staff worked well with the promoters. We were taken to a private VIP room and every member of the staff was pleasant to deal with.
I don't think I'll be returning to Utah anytime soon, but I will remember my experience at the ECenter as a good one!
I also went the E-Center for the New Kids on the Block concert and was also impressed. I would definitely stay near the E-Center rather than downtown if attending an event here again because it seemed like there was much more to do by the venue than downtown. Someone had told me they once saw a concert here and thought it was a terrible place for a show but of course they were referring to a String Cheese concert so how good could it have been? I thought the place was terrific. And it was also impressive that they had tasty beer on tap and not just gross domestic 3.2 beer. Something that would not have even been a factor at the last New Kids concert I attended. Way to age yourself, Sara.
