Great find in Redlands. It's independently owned, and the owner is in the process of adding fireplaces to several of the rooms. What we liked: super-comfy Tempurpedic beds! I asked for an extra pillow, and it was waiting on the bed when we arrived. The room also had air conditioning and a ceiling fan, and a thoughtful bathroom goody basket (mouthwash, toothpaste, shampoo, etc). The hotel staff paid attention to details, like access to fruit, coffee, and milk/yogurt around the clock, and lots of choices for breakfast (instant oatmeal, toaster waffles, peanut butter, fruit, cereal). It is also further away from the I-10 freeway, so there was less noise than some of the other accommodations. We felt safe, and it was clean and cozy. What we didn't like or was unusual: the piped in classical music in the halls (to block out the freeway noise?), the bullet proof glass in the lobby, hearing the neighbors television at 3 AM, it's not within walking distance of downtown but is surrounded by fast food joints in what could be a sketchy part of town. We would stay there again.
