The firm was established in response to overwealming demand for the kind of services we are trained to provide: Bankruptcy; Foreclosure prevention; and Eviction prevention.
Dwyer & Associates has been set up with a number of excellent attorneys who have a wonderful ability to understand the individual needs of our clients and all the legal issues they face. Meet the Business Owner: Tanya D.
Tanya Dwyer currently does Pro Bono work for the Brooklyn Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyer Program (VLP). Her work with the VLP is primarily protecting homeowners from foreclosure. She regularly keeps her clients in their homes for an additional two years without making mortgage payments, as she negotiates lower mortgage payments and discounts.
She also worked with the Teso Widows Association, in Uganda. She first visited Uganda in 2005. Her focus then was on the property rights of widows and human rights of people living with HIV/AIDS, under Uganda's Constitution.
Traveling to new places is one of Tanya's favorite things to do. She has taken memorable trips to Egypt, Dubai, France, Uganda, Italy, England, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and Jamaica.
She also enjoys long distance running and playing her upright bass. She began playing upright bass when she moved to Brooklyn after law school. She is an avid reader.
