A special, otherworldly tide pool area.
If you're down by the southerly edge of the reef, by the point, it feels like Mars. -

"Careful! The big ones pinch!" I came here for a Summer Camp field trip with a whole bunch of little kids. It was pretty exciting since I did not know what to expect. 'Cause I mean, I did not expect to see hermit crabs, sea enemies, and star fishes. I really enjoyed coming here and holding the tiny hermit crabs because they do not pinch, but the big ones do! I liked touching the sea enemies because when you touch them you feel like sucking feeling on your finger and the sea enemy sucks all of its arms? in the middle, it is hard to explain it but I guess you will know when you actually experience it. I hate it when the tide gets a little higher because you can not really tell, well I can't and when it is getting into the high tide you get stuck on one of the 'islands' and it is horrible! I am not sure what the address is for the reef but call the number and they will tell you.

Absolutely magical place. Call the Point Reyes Visitor Center to find out what time to go for low tide.
