Imagine the perfect family Irish Pub experience - at the beach.  Look in the book rack to find books on Irish Trivia and Surnames.  Guinness on tap of course tops the list, and it is good. Everything we had was a cut above; the Fish Stew, the Sheperd's Pie, the Rueben & Chicken Cheesesteak, all yum.  The home-made cole slaw deserves special mention. The interior is all warm wood, and the top of the walls are lined with beer cans of unheard-of sorts.  Sunday night we went, and found Irish guitar and great live fun entertainment.  All-in-all every bit the pub experience we craved on that sun-beaten afternoon.  Service was busy but on top of it.

    Duneavy's: A+

Still a favorite after all these years. An Irish pub a short walk from the beach. Enough said.

This place is okay, and they have seriously hot wings (after having what was deemed hot but on taste bland, it was refreshing to feel a burn again)

The popcorn machine kept our 2-year old nephew happy.

Rather loud and boisterous, service a bit slow, but fine for a pint if you can't make it to Poe's.

Great Irish Pub on Sullivan's, friendly, average pub grub, but go for the drinks and the wings with friends.. We usually stop by this place when we are in town, and I hear the polar bear New Years charity dip has thousands diving in the ocean and is very fun!

This place was one of the best neighbor hood bars I've ever been to!  I travel a lot for work and going to catch a football in the afternoon here was a great experiance!  The locals all talk to you like they've known you for years.  The food there is EXCELLENT for any highend restaurant, let alone a small pub.  Great atmosphere too!  Will definately go back if I return to Charleston and everyone should try their wings!

The jewel of Sullivan's Island.  Owned by the Dunleavy Family, this is a taste of Boston on the beaches of Charleston.  The wings are grilled and amazing, the beer is cold and fresh and the music is worth a dance or two.  This is a great place for groups or just to have a quick beer after laying on the beach.  It is cash or check only.

This place is so bad.  Try to get a nice Bud Light bottle.  Go to the mens room if you really want to laugh.  Warm beer, Lousy food.  Same stuff happens everywhere, but why here.  I get it now.

this has been a staple for our family for a long time.  we stay at wild dunes each year.  it's older people atmosphere, kid friendly, okay beer selection and food is fairly decent (we just usually get beer/sometimes they're nachos).
