Super, super cute. Charming rooms with lots of character and close attention to detail, such as reading lamps where it may get a little dark and extra lights above the bathroom mirror, make this an easy place to relax. Need more convincing? Optional jacuzzis in your room, a short five minute walk to the beach, breakfast outside on the patio, accommodating and friendly service (lesbian owned!), a lowkey dog, and delicious restaurant/bar downstairs are some of the other perks.
We had all nine rooms reserved for the bridal party this weekend for a wedding, and it was a blast. I'm not sure when else I might find myself in Michigan City, but if you're in the area (or even if not), this is definitely worth a stop.
If we're reviewing the restaurant here - the food is excellent, service is very good and the prices are reasonable. We went last weekend and didn't have reservations, but they accommodated us anyway. They are very attentive. I had the perch and it was so much I had to get a box to bring the rest home. They were sitting on a warm, wonderful pile of garlic-lemon mashed potatoes. Can't wait to go back.
