it was the pork and chives type and i'm not a chives type person. regardless it grew on me. the potstickers are not as thick as the dumpling house in manhattan so the juices weren't completely sealed in. and it was actually pricier than the ones in manhattan where its 5 for a buck! and honestly i felt like i could make these at home!!!
i guess its cheap relatively if u're looking for a quick fix.
very very run down place but dumplings is what u are aiming for here... they have fried noodles too which is more than plentiful if u do get it and only 2 bucks i think.
it pays to know chinese here fyi but there is an english menu just expect to be yelled at if u are asian and don't speak to them in chinese haha.

First, am I the only one who didn't know that "Dumpling Stall" was named, well, "Dumpling Stall"??? Seriously. And, second, was anyone else a little distraught when this little hole-in-the-wall closed down, renovated, and upped dumpling prices to 4 for $1.25? I think I lamented for days (cry cry) when my favorite dumpling place in Chinatown also remodeled and raised their prices-- Prosperity Dumpling may be the only vestige of that wonderful a 5 for $1 deal!
Anyway, returning to the review at hand.... Dumpling Stall is still great, and another Flushing staple for workers and students alike. The ladies who work there are sweet and friendly, and the place is now much cleaner with more room to eat inside now (I always order at the window and take my food into Maple Park or sit on the steps of Flushing library or the subway). There's more to eat than just pork-and-chive fried dumplings, along with meat ball dumplings, some stirfried noodles, and other breakfast/lunch foods. You'll never break more than $5 at this little hole-in-the-wall. Back when I was young (read: four years ago) and money was tight, I refused to spend more than $3 or $4 for lunch and required something tasty and quick. My lunch would involve $2 of dumplings, $1 black bubble tea from nearby Quickly's (sweetened black tea with tapioca is normally $1.50, but with a student discount it becomes $1!), and/or some fried chicken or lo-mein for $1.50 for the AA stalls under the train station. The result? A very filling lunch for super-cheap! And if I was really hungry, I'd purchase a bol luk bao (custard pineapple bun) or something sweet from a nearby bakery.
Come for the dumplings, and bring me a few too (:

Juicy dumplings at a low price, if you're not in the mood to go into one of the "malls."
good cheap eats. Period. For $1 american dollar you get 4 dumplings, fried to a nice perfection. for 2 american dollars you get 8 dumplings and at that point you're gonna get full. It's cheap, its fast, they crank out dumplings out of this place like nobody's business. Their sweet and sour soup, definitely worth a try. I love that soup, mostly because they put a little mushroom and bamboo in it. They have all these other buns in there as well, but I go for the dumplings.
I remember when flushing was filled with dumpling carts selling dumplings for a dollar. They came together and got this little stall and cranked out more dumplings. good move on their part. I wonder if the kabob ppl will get the same idea...
good cheap eats. go there spend a few bucks literally and be well fed and on your way. there's really no space to eat it in there, but damn their dumplings are good....

As good as they say. My mom loves coming here for their "man tou," and they sell frozen dumplings in 50 packs. Definitely a hole in the wall, and I think take out is the best option here.

1st of all i thought i reviewed this place , must be smokin something.
I go to flushing atleast once a week and when i finish my work there, my radar directs me right to this place. so yes i eat here 4 times a month , or better 52 times a year.
now i just realized something, I have been made a CHUTIA all along. from the 1st time i went there till my last time, I always thought that i missed out or was late for the damn Pancake. WTF? everytime I ask for a panckae which is on their menu board , the lady gives me a $50 smile back and says "NO PANCAKE".
So last time I asked her like YO when do you make the pancake? and she again gave me her $50 smile replying that they stopped making the pancake a year ago. I was like whattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt tttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KUTTIKAMINIHARAMZADI you were playing me all along !!!!
oh well it don't matter i guess. neways the dumplings here are good, they serve you 4 fried chives & pork dumplings for $1
they also have tasty pork buns which are also 4 for $1
the place is very dirty , dirtier than Dumpling house, but they crankin a lot more dumplings than anybody.
it is a toss up between dumpling stall, dumpling house and fried dumpling
any other dumpling joint I am missing? so i can get totally fuked up in the head.
oh well be sure to chk this place out if you are in the
REAL CHINATOWN of NYC

It's so packed here!!! Flushing drives me nuts. The pork buns were delicious! However, the pancake was terrible! It was all thin....it had the consistency of a fried egg, if that makes any sense. Not all thick and doughy like the ones you get at Fried Dumpling. The prices are right here though!
Good place to stop for a quick and cheap lunch before going to a game at Shea. I always order the steamed dumplings and a scallion pancake. Good eats for 3 or 4 dollars.

$4 will get you a steamy-hot, juicy, finger-lickin-good meal for two. When we're in a rush, we usually pull up in front, jump out and order $2 of guo tie (pot stickers) and $2 of mini-sheng jian baos, maybe a drink or two, and then gobble it all down in the car. My mouth waters just thinking about it when I'm hungry. You may need to get a salad somewhere else afterward, though; greasy pork buns stuffed in a styrofoam takeout box is not a meal for the faint of heart.
Just a warning: the family who works the stand will not waste any energy trying to be nice to you. Niceties are a total luxury here, with business piling on at all hours of the day. If you're unfortunate enough to get there after a large crowd, you'll have to work your elbows and scream over people if you don't want to be cut in "line."
My strategy is to always smile, even if the woman scowls back at me when I ask for extra napkins (believe me, you'll need them). I know it ain't personal.

Nihao,
I have passed by this place at least 4 times in the last 2 years. The Damn place does not have a name and is always closed at 2AM in the morning.
What do you expect at 2AM? (go to the Chinese place at the end of the street at 2AM)
We also found it on Yelp and from the picture I knew it was the same place.
Run and Me, made a mad dash to this Dumpling place. Found parking in the parking lot right next door.
So, this place is nothing more than a small shop, with 10 items on the menu (on top of the counter) and some stuff that is not mentioned on the menu.
We ordered:
Fried Pork Dumplings
Steamed Pork Dumpling
Veg. Pork Buns (steamed, 2 per order)
Fried Pork Buns
Hot and Sour Type Soup
The Soup was the only thing that SUCKED.
Most of the Dumpling order were for $1 for either 2 pieces or 4 pieces.
ONE DOLLAR, where can you get a tastier snack than this place.
The place is not clean, especially on a day after a major snow storm. However, this place is authentic, authentic enough that most people don't speak english.
There are 4 bar stools next to a wall bench with a big TRASH bag right next to it, Avoid the trash bag. People from all walks of life come in and out and you will never guess that you are in NY when you are in this place.
So, Summary
Recommend: YES
Will I go back: HELL YESS
Romantic: Definitely not in the Dumpling Stall, but a great snack when you get to Flushing and start your shopping.
-1 STAR for not having Scallion Pan Cake. They never have it when Run goes to this place.
A must do at least once. ONE DOLLAR Man!, what can you loose?

If you are in Flushing, you must try this hole in the wall. Literally a hole in the wall but I must admit they have some really good dumplings. I stopped by on the weekend with my boyfriend who has been there before so I had to trust him on this one. It's a not a sit down place, but a great place to grab a quick bite.
Everything is priced from $.50 to $2.00. I had 4 large dumplings for a dollar and hot and sour soup. The only bad thing is that nothing is in English so you have to look and point for what you want. If you are lucky you might be able to get a stool inside, otherwise just walk up to the takeout window which is probably your best bet. When you're done, you can go to the Flushing library across on Main Street or grab a drink from Starbucks across the street.

Appearances can be deceiving.
I'm not Chinese, so until my Chinese boyfriend started introducing me to a lot more places, I always remained wary of any restaurant that didn't at least serve a clean atmosphere. What I've learned from him over the years, however, is that when it comes to really good Chinese food, the dingier the place looks, the better it will taste. And it's a good, good thing I learned that fact before I first came here; otherwise, I would've completely skipped over this place myself.
Your first glance at the dumpling stall will probably result in a horrified gasp and a double take. It's an absolutely diminutive place, with barely enough room for them to cook, let alone enough stools for people to sit and eat. The tiles on the floor are cracking, and the menu above the cooking area looks so yellow that you know it must have been there for ages. But take a look on the bright side - it looks as if the prices haven't changed much either. I'm a dumpling lover, and I've eaten many a dumpling that has been either too big, too skinny, too stuffed with filler, or too bland with only meats. I'll tell you this right now - I have absolutely no idea what they do to their dumplings and to be honest, I really couldn't care because the ones I get here are one of the best ones I've ever had. The stuffing is pork and a small amount of scallion that are wrapped in wonton and pan-fried to crisp perfection. Add a little hot sauce to it, and ahh, your mouth meets heaven. And getting four of these little babies for a dollar, it's practically a steal (though I usually get two dollars' worth for a more rib-sticking meal).
Yes, it's a more-than-humble place that looks like it's about to fall apart at the touch of a button, but it's cheap, it's quick, and extremely good for anyone who's ever had a dumpling that "needs a little something more". Swallow your predilections for hifalutin dining, and you'll find a gem for your tummy in this rough.
