Great place! Owner was very welcoming and engaging! He even stayed late for us so that we could enjoy our meal. Food was very tasty and drinks were great. Ambience was very charming as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

was drawn here by the good reviews, but sorry, this is a simple place serving pan-Asian fast food, and there are Asian train station outlets that serve more flavorful and interesting dishes that cost quite a bit less.

3*** if the food was a bit cheaper, but 2** value at the mid-range pricing.

why is Yelp so unreliable for me for Munich?

My fiance and I have an ongoing inside joke about the best worst pho we've had outside of the Bay Area. This has got to be the best worst pho we've had! Not in a bad way... we've traveled to Europe a few times and would succumb to eating pho after a week or so (my taste buds crave Asian 24/7). We've had really bad bowl of pho where it barely tastes like the delicious bowl of pho we would get at home in the bay. This has got to be the best tasting "pho" we've had that doesn't taste like really good pho... not sure if that makes sense.

The broth is a little underwhelming and is missing some key ingredients that makes it tasty. The broth tastes a bit salty and light. As others have mentioned, this bowl of pho would not do well in California/Bay Area; this bowl of pho is more 1-2 star worthy, but since this is in Europe, 3 stars it is. The noodles are not the thin rice noodles that I love, but slightly wider. The meat is limited; only chunks of beef instead of the variety of meats you can find in a combo bowl of pho. Small portion for about 10 euros... I was still hungry after demolishing the entire bowl. We drenched the pho with tons of veggies/sauces to add flavor. Their chilis in fish sauce were super spicy; be warned!

Anyways, not bad. If you're desperately craving pho as someone who's used to eating legit pho, this place will suffice. Service was friendly and we had no problems finding seating on a weekday evening.

A good value place for people who don't ask too much of a restaurant.

Too many table too close to each other meant that I managed to hit elbow of the lady on the next table next to me. Waiters can hardly reach the table while serving and taking empty plates away.

No back ground music, but that is OK, cause the place was very noisy due to the number of people close to each other.

No WiFi. The toilets could be cleaner and are dated.

But nevertheless, this is a very popular place. I was there on a Friday night and all tables were reserved. The reason must be the good food and (for Munich) fair proces. The food is soo good actually, that one of the people on my table commented 'I need to bring my mother here!'. The menu has plenty of choice and the cocktails they make are excellent according to the people on my table.

To satisfy my curiosity as well as my craving, I travelled 40 minutes to DuDu because of the superb reviews. Pho looked legit due to the cloudy broth with tiny tiny pieces of floaters (don't need clear broth for pho to be delicious, common misconception). They had the right herbs which was a nice surprise. Too bad the flavor wasn't quite right; if this was in California, this pho would have earned one star but I added 2 stars as a handicap being in Germany and possibly flavored for German taste. The lemonade was fine as was the greasy egg rolls. Service was fine and the place was clean.

I really want to give 2 stars, esp. with a glass of water costing me 1.5 euros--trying not to be a hater though.

Owner responded in quickly which was nice.

As a California girl who lived and grew up in the SF Bay Area and Orange County, after a long night of drinking I was craving PHO. Yes, even in Germany.

Opened up Yelp and searched pho to see if anything pops up and found this place.

Came here with a party of about 10; we sat outside. They have an interesting selection of beers and ciders which were fun to try. I forgot the name of mine (I think it was the name of a flower) but it was delicious! 5/5. We all ordered pho and it was surprisingly good! Tasty broth, fresh noodles, adequate amount of meat and veggies ratios. We were not expecting the best since we were in Germany, but it did the job. Only downside was that the portions were on the small size.

Service was excellent and entertaining. She would say funny things like "congratulations, your food has arrived".

Come here for some decent pho and service if you're craving viet food in Germany!

Fabulous Vietnamese for a reasonable price. We stumbled into this place after the poor experience down the road and as it happened they had a table for four free.

It seems like a small family restaurant and the service is polite, prompt and friendly. They also have English menus which was a plus as one of our group did not understand German.

I had the fresh wrapped spring roll with beef for starter and they were fabulous. Nice spicy beef wrapped in fresh vegetables and wrapped in a nice rice paper roll with a yummy dipping sauce....sher lecker.

For main I had the Pho Cari - extra Scharf :-) and it was delicious sauce with coconut milk, lots of vegetable and chicken and nice noodles. I also tried some of the other dishes and loved them all. Even the dessert of banana tapioca pudding & banana fritters was great.

This was the first time I have been to a Vietnamese restaurant in Munich. Having been to hundreds of Vietnamese restaurants across many other countries in the past I would rate this place pretty high for quality, flavour and value for money.

Will definitely return here again and again :-))

I was in work for Munich when I came across this place on Yelp. I was sick of the other options in the area so decided to check DuDu out.

I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, there isn't a huge Vietnamese population in Munich. With that being said, this place was AWESOME and the food tasted authentic as well. I ordered the pho and coworker ordered the Bun Vit - both portions were very large and filling. The prices were also very affordable as well, especially given the portion.

The restaurant was a bit cramped and the service was a bit iffy.

However, I will come here again! Dudu is a nice change of pace compared to other restaurants in the area.

The chicken and shrimp in coconut curry soup was very good the won-tons were crispy and tasty but the only thing that I didn't enjoy too much was the duck. But I will definitely give it another try to see, I know it is worthy of recommending.

Woohoo for Dudu! (That was too easy...)

We stumbled here by chance on a Saturday evening. The place, brightly lit with its brightly colored walls (much needed for me given the often grayish weather), seemed inviting to me. It was quite empty at that time, so service was naturally fast but also friendly. Happy hour occurs every day from 5 to 7:15 PM with all drinks, including non-alcoholic ones, pricing somewhere around 2 to 4 EUR. Feeling good about Dudu!

I'm a sucker for green papaya salad (Goi Dudu), so I had to get it when I see it. The salad was tangy and refreshing, just the way I like it. We tried the Bun La Lot (grilled ground beef wrapped in betel leaves along with vermicelli and fish sauce) and the Mi Xao Vit (crispy duck with sauteed veg along with hoisin sauce). Both dishes were nicely cooked and flavorful.

To me, the price is not too cheap but also not too expensive. Most of the main dishes cost between 11-13 EUR. Perhaps I should just accept that Viet food in Munich will always cost more than what I expect.

Regardless, I will be back for more Dudu! (I just like writing this word!)
