I love the atmosphere in here, it feels more like a spa than an uptight dental office! All of the girls that work here are really nice & super friendly...I've never been one that's scared of the dentist...I'm on the other end of the spectrum & I actually enjoy going to the dentist!
The office & exam rooms were really nice, clean, and comfy. The dental assistants are really knowledgeable, educational, and good at what they do! The massage chairs were also a plus!
If anyone isn't a fan of going to the dentist, you have a dental emergency, or need a simple cleaning...you should give this place a try! -

I was recomended this office by Dr Gonzales, the orthodontist next door. He suggested I get my wisdom teeth pulled before I start on my braces. I am such a baby when it comes to getting work done on my mouth. But the oral surgeon at this office was sooo awesome!! He made me feel super comfortable and had a great sense of humor.
My surgery actually felt like a massage. Yea I know, weird. I got my wisdoms pulled yesterday and feel fine besides swelling on my right cheek!
You must go! -

Loved this dental office.
Good communication, great staff.
The Dentist Marjan Shaghasi has really good communication skills.
I felt like she explained everything well, and took her time to take care of my needs. The dental assistant asked why I left my previous dental office. I explained that at my previous dental office, the dentist had bad communication and also he became so successful over the years, he had fresh UOP graduates do all his work, he would swing by, say hi and leave ASAP.
I have asked this office to flag my account, I only want to see "Dr Shaghasi"
You may also be impressed with free coffee and high end leather massage chairs, the sms reminders, etc but for me I just need good communication and a skilled dentist that can spend time with me.
I am not reviewing the cost of the dental work because my insurance covers 90% of the bill. It appeared that they were a little more expensive than other places, but this is only an issue if you have no insurance or minimal insurance.
The explanation of the work to be completed was impressive.
I think its Damaris that sat with me and explained things in detail without it sounding like she was a bill collector (which it is) but she did a good job of disguising it. I walked out of the office with a cup fill of goodies and and with the knowledge of what was being planned for me financially and orally.
For any office to run well, they need a combination of good front end staff, good hygienist, and Finlay a dentist that is OK with spending money on their practice. You can be a great dentist and have BAD business skills if you don't know when to terminate bad employees.
This is a dentist with guts, she spends money on her practice and has so far hired good people, keep it up.
During a recent visit, I had complained of a filling that was allowing food to be trapped between teeth. The dentist offered to re-do the work for free and she as able to improve things. However now the redone filling itself is sensitive so it has to be redone again. Too many visits but they are willing to fix anything that is problematic, which is all one can really expect.
One of the great things i like about this office is that the Dentist does NOT proclaim the be the BEST at everything. If you are planning an implant, she will ask "other" professionals to take care of it. I like that because it feels like she has her scope of work taken care of and she does not need to take on the added responsibility of different fields, no matter how profitable and lucrative it may be.
All in all a good office, good front end reception and good back end support. -

I had avoided the dentist for 5+ years because I was deathly afraid!!! I had so many horrible, painful experiences at the dentist... I just figured I would brush my teeth and floss and cross my fingers that would be enough.
Well the time came where one of my molars finally gave in and I wasn't able to chew on the right side of my mouth any longer. I had to suck it up and find a dentist. I yelped it and all of these reviews were RIGHT ON!
Dr Shaghasi is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Her staff is amazing and no matter who has helped work on my teeth, they have all been very attentive and careful not to cause any discomfort.
Even the endodontist Dr. Shaghasi referred me to was amazing! The reason she referred me was because originally she thought maybe I had a crack in the tooth in front of my molar, but she wanted to get a second opinion because my molar looked like it had a cracked filling as well. Thank goodness she took the time to refer me because the endodontist just said I have "groovy teeth" and the real source of pain was the cracked filling I had in my molar. Can't tell you enough how much I appreciate that Dr. Shaghasi got a second opinion... otherwise I would have had one tooth that was perfectly fine ruined and still had pain because the cracked filling would have still been there. I think that says a lot about Marjan.
Love the massaging chairs, free teeth whitening trays (one that she made into a retainer at no addt'l cost), and the movies I get to watch while I'm getting work done.
I have a deep cleaning scheduled in December and Dr. Shaghasi actually GIVES you a free Sonicare toothbrush because she wants her clients to use it. You only get this with a deep cleaning I think.
Highly, highly recommend Dr. Shaghasi and her entire staff. This office is a little more pricey than others, but worth every penny! I no longer get anxiety when I go to the dentist. -

It seems that every place I go that requires work on my body is a good choice. The staff here is friendly with smiles all the time. From the moment I walk through the door to when I exit. They always treat me like I've been with them for a long time. I've done numerous work on my teeth (apologies for ignoring the pain).
There was one incident when the novocaine just wouldn't work after the third shot. I guess it just didn't want to work. But did they hesitate to say no to another one, HECK NO. After that, the crown was inserted and I was a happy smiling customer.
And yes, afterward I got a back massage. They are retro and up-to-date with what customers believe is great customer service. -

From my first call, appointment and exit, perfect. State of art. Kind, gracious, patient, caring and informative. Staff and Dr.Shaghasi truly care. I am a nervous patient and was put at ease soon after my arrival. Facility is beautiful and clean. Highly recommend to all.

IT IS RIDICULOUS AND ALMOST UNREAL HOW GREAT THIS OFFICE IS IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE. I am a very critical person and demand quality and professional service b/c honestly I have a very low tolerance for unprofessionalism and lack of common courtesy and care (as far as customer service goes) in any business I visit, and so a 5-star rating from me is very rare. HOWEVER, Delta Dental has done it. Just look at the other reviews here and you'll know...this many people can't be wrong!
Pros:
~Dr. Shaghasi is knowledgeable, caring, gentle, informative, and accommodating
~The staff is extremely pleasant and very comforting, as well as knowledgeable (they answered all of my questions on the several visits I've had)
~You can get cold or room temp bottled water or coffee in their beautiful waiting room, which also has a fountain
~All the chairs are MASSAGE CHAIRS, and you get to choose from a huge selection of DVDs to watch while you are getting worked on so the time just flies by
~The office overall is very new, clean, and decorated beautifully

BEST DENTIST I've ever been to!!! Friendly staff...Check. Good prices...Check. Sit in massage chair while you get your work done...Check. Watch a movie/listen to music or see what's being done in your mount while getting your work done...Check, Check and Check. Newest technology...Check. Dentist who really know what their doing and explain to you so you understand what exactly they need to do...Check. Hand treatment after dentist is done...Check. 15 minute massage in the aroma room at the end...Check. Oh yes, and finally, free bleaching trays and a extra gift just for you just for being a new client. Check.

Let's just say it up front. I hate the dentist. Always have. Don't you?
Here's the good news: So does Dr. Shaghasi.
A dentist who hates going to the dentist? Yep. It's great, because she *gets it*. She understands why people are nervous, afraid, or wary of going to the dentist. And so she decided to do something about it, by opening a comfortable, friendly, and honest dentist office.
It works. I've been going to her for a while now, and plan to continue! -

My whole family has been going here for years including my son since he was a toddler. They have always been extremely professional, efficient and accommodating. They were excellent with my son who was initially frightened but now has no problem visiting the dentist and getting his teeth cleaned. There is absolutely nothing negative to say, and I have referred several friends here.

My first review, and it's for a dentist. Who would have thunk it.
This is the best dentist I have ever been to. After a series of very poor dentists, this place is a godsend.
The staff is incredibly polite and professional. Maria is always super helpful with any question about appointments and billing
And yes they have the latest and greatest equipments and all the amenities including the movies and the massage chairs are true. The office is wonderfully decorated. I agree it looks more like a spa than a dental office.
Though I thought the best part was the first time patient tour and interview. They really want to get to know you and what your needs are and cater to that. I told them I really value communication during the procedures. That was 2 years ago and to this day they still are doing that.
It's great.
And Dr. Shaghasi is a great dentist and her staff is very very good as well. I had a much MUCH better cleaning experience with their dental hygienist than any dentist I've ever been to.
Because Dr. Shaghasi is on maternity leave my last visit I got Dr. Thayer instead. I think that was her name. She was good as well...communicated, worked well.....I think she was also like 16...:)
If there's any down side to this it's that you have pay for what you get. They can be quite pricey, even with 80% insurance coverage, my last appointment with 2 quadrants of deep cleaning and 2 fillings still cost me almost $400 out of pocket. The wifey was none too pleased. -

My first review on a dentist? Insane! I am the worlds biggest coward when it comes to going to the dentist which leads to serious dental neglect. Maria at the front desk was kind enough to squeeze me in in a matter of hours when I called with emergency tooth pain. Not only was she lovely to talk to, but she actually aided me in figuring out what kind of dental insurance I had. Embarrassing to admit, but I wasn't able to find out in time - but that is besides the point. Who does that in a dental/medical office? Most people that you talk to are either rude or short to say the least, to have someone go what I consider way beyond their duty is a breath of fresh air. Thank you Maria! The visit to the office was equally as pleasant, the staff was friendly and the office was clean and not a hint of "dentist office smell". Dr. Shaghasi was fabulous, my fillings were painless, and not once was I shamed for my dental neglect. She took ample time to explain what was going on and what the treatment options were. For the worlds biggest chicken, I was amazed at how painless the whole procedure was. I will be returning with the family and will be recommending her to all of my friends.
Update - I brought the family back and Dr. Shaghasi is fabulous with kids. She had 3 crazy kids in and out in no time and my kids are now looking forward to their next dental visit. Our nanny actually wanted to schedule an appointment because of the cool toys that the kids got - as she wanted one for herself :-) She is hands down way better than any pediatric dentist I have EVER visited and my son is on the autism spectrum. Finding a dentist that can deal with his special challenges is no easy feat, but she handled it like a pro. No problems at all. She took her time and made each child not only feel at ease but she took the time to connect with each one. Building a relationship with your health providers is especially important - and this is someone your children will not only love but look forward to seeing. It makes the whole dentist office process way less painful! I am also biased as she is also UOP alum, however, my review is objective ;) -

I can not sing enough words of phrases for Dr Shaghasi and her staff at Dublin corner (next to Ulfert's center, the area where IMAX is). She is, hands down, the best dentist I've ever had! She is so caring and generous to my family especially when my husband was under chemo therapy. She is very gentle yet thorough with her work. She is also very very approachable and very friendly. My kids (2 and 4yr old) also see her and actually get excited about going to the dentist! She has 2 toddler of her own so perhaps that's why she is really good with kids too.

This is our new dentist and we are very happy with Dr. Marjan as she said I can refer to her as. The office has all kinds of high tech stuff which is really nice. For example, watch a movie during your visit, Digital xrays, pen camera that she points to your toofers with that you can see on the monitor overhead. I love all that crap! Plus they are open on the weekends or will do a late (6pm) appointment. This is especially good for my husband who works a lot. Also, the reason we changed from our old dentist was because she had this dumb payment system where we had to pay the full amount and then get reimbursed from our insurance company. I didn't like that. They don't have any weird payment systems. They tell you what is covered and they get that from your insurance and you pay the rest.

Aside from the fact that I felt like I was on a spa day and NOT at the dentist... I learned how to floss correctly for the first time ever!!! (believe me, there's more to it than what you think you know). These are the top notch professionals that you hope to stumble upon every time you make a choice in services. They take special care to explain in detail and show visuals in every step. Best I've found in the 30 years I've been around :)

Keep in mind that I wanted to wait some time before I wrote this review. It has been my experience that one should wait before writing reviews for this type of service to make sure no issues come up. All I have to say is they have very competent staff members. The quality of service if definitely a notch above the rest. I had a cleaning and eventually a filling and both times everything went very smooth. I know they cost a little more than other dentists, but you definitely get what you pay for. After going through other, less qualified and less service oriented offices, Dublin Corners was a refreshing improvement. It's your teeth people, accept nothing less than the best.

FINALLY I found the perfect dentist. I HATED going to the dentist...but Dr. Shaghasi and her staff made me comfortable and unafraid. They really work to help you keep your teeth in your head.
When I had an emergency on the weekend, Dr. Shaghasi was there for me! She fixed my crown and STOPPED THE PAIN!!

This is an absolutely awesome dental office. Everything is immaculate and designed for optimal relaxation. It's actually more like a spa than a dentist's office. From the neck and back massages to the snacks and drinks. Then, there are the range of overhead movies you can watch while you're in the chair. Then, of course, there are the gift bags with all kinds of goodies, including sugar-free (yet delicious) treats and a Sonicare Professional cleansing and massaging toothbrush. Of course, it's all complimentary. The dentists and support staff are also extremely attentive. Wonderful experience! If they don't take your insurance, switch your insurance.

I tried Dublin Corners because of the excellent reviews. The atmosphere, the equipment, and the customer service are top notch.
I had a few fillings re-done, but one which gave me some pain. I had several follow-up visits, including the last visit being a complete removal and new filling. I still had pain. After this, I chose to have it checked at another dentist to alleviate my pain. The other dentist was able to fix it. Although Dublin Corners wasn't able to address the pain I was feeling from my filling, they did refund me of the costs incurred. Unfortunate circumstance, but like I said, their service is excellent. -

Are you kidding me with this place?
I walk into to a soothing and modern interior design. Are those granite countertops? What is this I'm walking on - it seems pulled from a hip, Soho artists loft - it's not carpet, tile or cement.
I'm used to florescent lighting, beige, wallpaper from the 80s and stained carpet.
The girl at the front desk offered me water or coffee? Really! You'll let me have coffee before my cleaning? That's crazy talk!
So I go in to sit down, after my tour with Tammy (everyone's extremely personable and not plastic), have my consult with the doc and Tammy - very cool people.
I would like to go into how nice they all are, but I can't wait to get to the best part - the frickin' 1st time courtesy massage!?!?!
(Which I admire, as a marketing person, b/c you'll want to go back and schedule an appt after the free one)
And I don't know about you, but dental visits make me tense. I'd rather give plasma, blood and a hand then have to deal with the dentist (even though they're very friendly).
The massage and the little gift coffee cop with goodies was like the adult's version of the treasure chest that we'd go through as kids.
And they got me in and out in the exact time they originally quoted.
I can't wait to visit again - it's like a spa and your insurance picks up the tab! -

I really like Maria, what a great assistant and personality! this place is great! beautiful and comfortable, Dr. Shagazi is nice and sweet and very professional, unfortunately i had to have laughing gas because I have fear of dentists, Dr. Shagazi could not perform because of her pregnancy, they had some other dentist to perform i do not remember her name right now, but she needs more training i did not care for her nd i hope never have her as my dentist. She kept hitting my mouth with the tools enough said!

Updated - 4/9/2009
UPDATE: I broke my front tooth off, which is a crown, on Sunday. The office was closed Monday so I called the after hours number and Dr. Shaghasi called me right back. She told me that she and an assitant would come in on Monday just to take care of me. WOW! She set me up with a temporary bridge using my broken tooth so I would look normal for the week. She then scheduled my appointment for the next Monday when the office was closed so she could take as much time as she needed doing an extraction, cutting off two existing crowns and getting me prepped for my bridge. I was very nervous and Dr. Shaghasi and Natalie put me at ease with laughing gas and a good movie. It was a 3 hour procedure but well worth it. The only pain I felt was the first shot going in. That was it. I couldn't have been more pleased and I know my permanent bridge will look great. These guys are and continue to be awesome.

I could write a book on why I love Dublin Corners, but I won't! Let's see if I can sum it up with this: fabulous staff, feels like going to the spa, Dr. Marjan is top notch, and complimentary massage when you're all done! I've gone from dreading going to the dentist to actually looking forward to it. I'd highly recommend going to Dublin Corners. Best Dental office in the Bay, hands down.

I've been to several dentists as I've lived all over the country and Dublin Corners is far and above the best experience I've ever had. The entire staff is professional and knowledgable and they go out of their way to make the entire experience pleasant and enjoyable. I used to get nervous when it was time to go see the dentist, and now I look forward to it!
