I've been to worst and better hostels. This one is good for a night or two. The front desk guy kinda had an annoying attitude when looking for my reservation that night. And smelled like cigarettes and I dont do well with cigarettes. The room I got wasn't the cleanest and I found an empty can under my bed. There was a stinky obsolete mini-fridge in the room but it wouldn't have been stinky if we didn't open to check if it works. The bathroom was kinda worn and I think it can use a little remodeling.

The kitchen and lounge was really cool. You definitely won't be bored here and I'm glad they provided breakfast & coffee. You get to sit in a table with complete strangers and have a good conversation.

Best part about hostels is just brushing with other travelers and we got to meet a Belgium/Scandinavian couple and a girl from TX. Awesome blossom :)

Good place to stay if on a shoestring budget.  Not my favorite place to stay while visiting flagstaff, but if it's $66 a night for the "Delux" room here and $140 for a room at the downtown Rodeway Inn, I'll stay here. In fact, if the prices were the same I'd still choose Du Beau. The location is very good for downtown and plenty of restaurants. Very friendly staff and a nice courtyard area for guests to play horseshoes, cards, or grill out.

How is this place not on here?! It's amazing!

The staff are very, very, very helpful, and funny, and sarcastic. There's gathering in the courtyard at night, and food, and perhaps it's just Saturday nights, but there was grilling of foods. The beds are beds on which to sleep, but as far as hostels go, it's clean and nice, and just kinda fantastic.

Love it. Truly. So much so we decided to stay a second night.

The staff was nice enough, but not nice enough to warrant staying here again.  It was tiny, the bed made so much noise that it woke me up in the middle of the night.  No air conditioning.  A table-side light that would've been nice if there were an outlet around to plug it in to... but no.  Drunk Norwegian guys yelling at my fiance to come to the strip club with them... uhh I think not.  If you're looking to get completely hammered this would be an alright place to stay, but don't expect to get any type of good sleep here. I didn't.

This gem of a hostel is cozy and a sort of hub for happy travelers. I stayed here a couple of times and have always had such a good time.  You can do the hostel thing, or you can get an actual hotel room.  Centrally located, helpful with tours and things of interest including the Grand Canyon or snow activities in the Winter.
