I remember going her as a kid and i got a Ultimate Warrior tooth brush. My parents use to take me here after coming from the haunted toy "r" us getting some flintstone chewable vitamins or some other over the counter drugs.

Peace out....

It's almost moot now that the liquidation sale is well underway, but I gotta give props. A sad last homage to this once strong store.

Drug Barn was my first stop for personal care products and over-the-counter meds. I'd been a devoted regular of this store from 1992 to 2000 when I lived closer to them. I enjoyed shopping here because of their enormous array of cleaning products, dental and hair care items, bath accessories like sisal scrubbers, greeting cards, and seasonal items. They had great prices on essentials like shampoo.

Mom liked them because they were the last place on earth she could find old-fashioned VO-5 hair cream. She also liked their Ensure selection and their extra-thick plastic shopping bags.

I also found the best pop-out laundry baskets here several years ago, and I took the opportunity yesterday to pick up a few more for future replacements, because I've never seen them in any other store and probably never will.

Several times in the aisles I overheard one stunned shopper say to another, "I didn't even know they were closing until I drove by."

Adieu! You'll be missed.
