We went their for our honeymoon because we had just bought a house and couldn't afford to go anywhere...
It was nice and clean and we even threw a party and had friends come over. It was fun. This was pre-hurricanes. We haven't been back since. (Our home is our castle now!!)

The Driftwood is a Vero institution. It was built by Waldo Sexton out of pieces he salvaged from some of the incredible old homes in Palm Beach and Boca when they were being torn down the 40's. Consequently it has tons of cool old things that are quite random. Unfortunately, the recent hurricanes did destroy much of it.
The hotel is run in a very erratic and irresponsible way though. Your room will never be ready when you need it, the maid service might just not come, they may move you in the middle of your stay or any other incredibly add practice that shows that this place is very much in need of new management.
