Truth of the matter is that you can pick up a Dreyer's 1/2 gallon of ice-cream at you local grocery - BUT who the heck would want to that when you can have 30-or more flavors in this really cool spot for kids and those of us who are kids-at-heart. The staff is awesome - they encourage you to try all the varieties before settling on your favorite. They make the best sundae - they make it to your liking down to the last almond and cherry-on-top!
This is my family's favorite treat place for our family-fun days!
You scream, I scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!!! AAAAAAAAHHHH! -

If you find yourself strolling along College Ave in Rockridge, perhaps after dining at the nearby Zachary's Pizza, drop by the Dryer's Ice Cream Parlor for a little snack. Since this shop is connected to the corporate HQ and the plant where all Dryer's/Edy's(east of the Rockies, Dryer's is know as Edy's) products are made (check a carton of Dryer's if you don't believe me), you're more likely to get the freshest batch and the widest variety of Dryer's ice cream/sorbet/sherbert/frozen yogurt.

I ordered an icecream cake from this store a week early and when I came to pick it up - no cake. I got no sympathy from the lady working in there and no understanding that this mistake was going to impact the happiness of a girl's 6th birthday. The icecream is not good enough to endure bad service on all fronts.
I buzzed over to Baskin Robbins on San Pablo and even though I had to get a cake that was not exactly what we wanted, the service was very friendly and excellent and the icecream there is super delicious.
