I shop the ARC, Salvation Army and Goodwill and the ball-n-chain likes this place.
He always seems to find something a step up from jeans and t-shirts. This time, two really nice Hawaiian shirts for 28 bucks, on hangers and covered in plastic. They do not do this at my ARC - this is no typical segundo.
Everything is super clean and nicely displayed, no skinny emo jeans here. The owner is great, just ask for Rick, one of those nice guys who is happy and into you being happy. He even gave me a book on something I was interested in and told me just to take it. Now that is customer service.
No doubt about it . . . best high end bargain men's shop for traditional clothes in the Denver-metro area. Totally humiliates Ross and T-J Maxx. Have purchased new $1,000 suits for $150; $150 shoes for $30; $50 ties for $10 or less. The deal is you have to go and check the stuff out and see what happens to be there, instead of going with a specific wish list you've gotta fill. Steve the owner is a trip. Now that they're on-line you can sorta get a better idea of what's in stock, but you need to see this stuff up close 'n personal because sometimes all the glitters is not gold . . . if ya know what I mean. In-shop tailor a big plus. (And always ask for a better deal than listed on the price tag, especially if you buy more than one item).
Hipsters be warned. This is not the Buffalo Exchange. Dress for Less (not to be confused with Ross Dress for Less) is a consignment store for men in old-town Englewood. The clothes are mostly gently used - all clothing in the store looks very crisp and clean - professional wardrobe and what I would like to call middle-aged golfing casual. The selection is great and there are some fabulous deals on some really nice clothes. In addition, they have an in-store tailor to get everything fitted. My one main beef with this store is that the owner is a loud and mildly offensive good-ol-boy. However, he is very helpful and enthusiastic about his products. This a great place for those of you guys that want to look sharp while staying on the cheap.
The previous reviewer hit the nail on the head: perfect for those middle-aged casual golfers. The place gets props for maintaining standards. I took in a nearly flawless Kenneth Cole suit to trade in and the manager noticed an infinitesimal thread loose and promptly rejected it. Politely, of course. I personally wouldn't buy anything there, and it's all fairly pricey. But I'm sure for the labels, it's a good deal.
