my alabama family sent bama bbq to me in san francisco for my birthday and a bama v south carolina football party. the Tide won, lots of fun ensued, until 8 hours later when half the party got violently ill with food poisoning. i fainted on the tile bathroom floor, came to in a large pool of blood, got up, and fainted again. Dreamland would not even consider that they and their sausage were to blame. a highly un-compassionate restaurant which i will never go to again. they should have reimbursed my sister the hundreds of $ she spent for the party.
Dreamland has a well-earned reputation as the best BBQ place in Alabama, however, ever since the original owner passed it on to his kids, the quality of both food and service have decreased drastically. I don't know what they have changed, but while it's still good, it's not mind-blowingly good like it used to be.
